This is gutting. I have no doubt he will survive but he's widely regarded as the best person in the game. My friend works with Howard Brown, an LGBTQ health center in Chicago and the amount of work he has done for them is immense. Also remembering how vocal he was after the Supreme Court ruling. I'm so proud he's a White Sock. Hope this is a blip and he's back either later this year or next. Just hope he is ok.
I'm having a hard time putting my thoughts into words, but you did a nice job.

I'd target Michael Pittman Jr in a trade with the Colts.

Very unfortunate news for Liam, his family and the organization both on and off the field.
Scott Radinsky of the White Sox had this and missed the entire 1994 season. He eventually did return although I don't remember if he was as effective as before the illness.
I think Mario Lemieux of the Penguins also had this (don't remember for sure) and he returned.
Moving forward we'll see what if anything Rick does since now this has a major impact of course
Mario Lemieux had Hodgkins Lymphoma.

I really hope Lovie can get one last meaningless win with the Texans.
Lovie was great at getting meaningless wins with the Bears.

What would you guys think of Santiago Espinal?
To me he seems like a younger Harrison.
Idk how much that's worth on the trade market.
I was ok with Biggio until I realized how bad his contact issues are.

La Stella, Moustakas available now for minimum...both released. Do either of these make any sense?
no

When they already moved $10 million out of the $27 million they've spent on free agents into future years, I have a pretty sensible guess as to why they haven't done that.
It's fucking 8 million dollars. That's not that much in baseball free agency context.

I have no idea why they didn't sign Adam Frazier. 1/8 is not terrible.

Interestingly, both Mikes are from Las Vegas.
Yeah that's where the confusion came from.
D'oh.

Are 25 of 30 orgs bad?
Yes.

They need massive upgrades on both lines and within the linebacking corps and one more wideout (JSN would look nice). They also need Mooney and Claypool healthy.
Than If next year Fields still is a lousy passer, you at least have a better all around team and are in a better spot to take another swing at a qb. Right now it has to be about building the lines and finding another skill position player.
Obviously hitting in draft and free agency will me important.
It's not really fair to evaluate Fields as a passer because he has NOTHING around him. OL is terrible and so are the WRs.
I thought Mooney and Claypool were ok but clearly not. Jenkins is too injury prone. They need 10 new starters on offense.

Someone has to note the Blackhawks ownership covering up a sexual assault issue in this discussion. That’s a whole different level of stuff.
Yep. As bad as Jerry is, he doesn't hold a candle to the Wirtz family in shitty ownership.

So Jerry...when are you going to spend that money that was hoarded during the lean rebuild years? We were promised.
He would argue that the money was spent on locking up the core. Which is dumb.

Considering he's a 5th round pick and a rookie I'd say he's far exceeded expectations.
He looks like a rookie 5th round pick out there.

I have no idea what everyone sees in Braxton Jones. He's terrible.

Profar really is a perfect fit. Can play the OF and 2B, switch hitter.

I’d prefer we get a guy that can swing 2B and OF if we go after depth, or straight up outfield. RF concerns me much more, mainly because I could still see them putting sheets out there

If Grandal is completely cooked and gets DFA'd mid-season, Seby & Carlos Perez is still functional enough to be better than replacement level. I don't think the same is true at 2nd right now.
Disagree. If Grandal is cooked both catcher and 2B will be a disaster.
