The midget needs to stay for atleast a few more shows. That guy was great.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 11:46 PM) They should have called it dead on the first forward pass. What the hell was that guy thinking? You cant blow it dead because its reviewable. The second forward lateral must have been really obvious.

why not let Forte just walk in? Horrible coaching by GB tonight.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 11:29 PM) Not a good challenge by the Packers, especially if they've seen the replay. Doesnt really matter since coaches cant challenge under 2 minutes or in OT. GB had 3 timeouts plus the two minute warning so really 4 timeouts. Why not take a flyer before losing it.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 11:16 PM) 30 yards of free offense on this drive from the Packers, how many penalties is that now? 10? 12? 15

Is there a team dumber then GB?

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 10:49 PM) Horrible pass? It dove a bit, but it was in his hands. And it was on the wrong side of him. A good pass and its a TD but Bennett should have caught that ball to bail out Cutler.

Horrible pass but an even worse drop.

Les Miles is Larry Coker II and LSU wont be a SEC title contender until Miles is gone. His team that won the title was loaded and yet he still managed to lose 2 games that season. -

QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 10:31 PM) No one mentioned Texas getting slaughtered by a 1-2 UCLA in Austin? The polls proved they are moronic by keeping Texas ranked (top 20 still in the coaches poll). The polls are a joke. Texas stays in the top 20 with the coaches probably because they all respect Brown. Then the media jumps Stanford up from 16 to 9 in the AP for beating a crap Notre Dame team. Maybe ESPN paid off some voters in the AP so they can hype their top 10 matchup between Oregon/Stanford to go against CBS' top 10 match up of Alabama/Florida at 8pm. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 11:14 AM) The debut of Boardwalk Empire was fantastic. I've read the direct opposite but I read there is a lot of potential. Guess it could go either way. I was excited about this show from the previews so I'll probably watch it tomorrow night.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 12:03 AM) Its only halftime, but thanks for telling me to avoid Iowa-1.5. Zona is kicking some ass and I dont see Iowa as the type of team to mount a huge comeback. Iowa walked into a hornet's nest tonight. -

Yeah, MSU has balls the size of boulders. But what a crappy way to lose. ND gotta feel like they were just kicked in the nuts. -

lol@ ND losing on a fake FG after the play clock expired. Lou Holtz is crying somewhere. -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 07:27 PM) I love how the Twins are somehow the epitome of playoff failure because they keep losing to the Yankees every year. The other years they've made it they lost to the Angels, the eventual World Series champion in 2002, and the A's in 2006 (the latter being the only year in which you could say they choked). 2-12 in their last 4 playoff series 6-18 overall record in the Gardenhire era.

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 16, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) Has RichRod been caught buying cars and giving money to players? Getting private planes for players? Not yet but I know of a story that says he did. But if you dont think this happens after every school then youre just naive. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 16, 2010 -> 11:16 AM) So you are saying Iowa -1.5 should be a solid bet? Me personally I would never classify a road team as a 1.5 fave as a solid bet. A top 10 team on the road vs a fringe top 25 team would seem like an easy play. But going out west is never a sure thing, especially for a 1030 start. 90% of the spread plays is going on Iowa and 70% of the moneyline to Arizona which is about right since there isnt any real value in going with the Iowa ML or AZ spread. I've liked Arizona all week but if you put a gun to my head I would take Iowa so I doubt I'll play this game. I think this game will be a dogfight to the end. -

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Sep 16, 2010 -> 12:35 AM) A perfect examble is Mississippi State - Auburn last week. The game started with Auburn as a 3-4 point favorite, but by near game time, the line had moved to MSU -1 on some books. That movement had nothing to do with who they thought was going to win and everything to do with trying to balance the money. I think a lot of bettors talked themselves into MSU last week because of the whole "home underdog on Thursdays" trend. I know a few years ago home dogs were pretty good, especially SU, but it really has evened out the past year. I still dont think the bookies have a grasp on the lines for this season yet. There are a few games I really like this weekend and I will be riding Hawaii again for sure. -

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Sep 16, 2010 -> 12:48 AM) I understand your logic, but if that were the case, one would always pick the favorite to win. We're nitpicking here. I agree with you in principle, but when I read/see/hear 75-80% of sports media which include former coaches and players pick one team, I'm inclined to think they're the favorite. UM was favored on the betting line simply because more people are goig to put money on them at home than UCONN. Personally I think we can both be right here. On another subject, please tell me Wisky is not going to let Steven Threet come to Madison and pull an upset. I'd be shocked if it happened, but I don't know ASU's personnel that well. It's easy to pick an "underdog" to win when you have nothing to lose on it. Every expert wants to pick that upset in hopes to validate themselves over other "experts". I would like to see how many "experts" would have picked UCONN if they had to bet money on it. I've been gambling for 8+ years and I dont trust a damn thing these people in the media say. How do I know a certain book isnt asking an "expert" to side with a certain team to bring action on that side? In the first couple of weeks in college football, the public beats Vegas b/c the favorites cover. -
Starting with Cleveland again. ugh Counting 2011, 6 of the last 7 Opening Days will be against the Indians.
