  1. Another Gator arrested, this time its Chris Rainey for stalking. Maybe Tennessee pulls of the upset this year?? link edit--Forgot he has a concussion so his suspension will probably be for the games he isnt cleared medically.
  2. eat a dick Norv. First and goal from inside the 5 and you dont try pounding it in there for a play or two with Matthews. Lost my fantasy game by 2.5 points.
  3. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 01:48 PM) How stupid is this comment? Michigan lost to Iowa 30-28 on the road last year and to OSU 21-10 (and threw 4 interceptions) last year. By every method of math I have ever learned, both of those scores are within 14 points. Michigan still has a lot to prove but winning these first two games as an underdog was a huge step in that direction. Michigan was a favorite over UCONN.
  4. The Eagles should go back to these old uniforms.
  5. lol@ the Lions. Even when they really win the refs take it away.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 11, 2010 -> 07:24 PM) Miami's front 7 is underrated. Spence singehandedly stopped the OSU running attack. Both defenses did a good job stopping the running backs. I know we got some yards in the second half but we started basically running a no huddle and that might have worn down the OSU line some. Pryor killed us but he's going to do that a lot this year. It's a good thing for Miami that we stepped up inside the redzone or it would have been really ugly.
  7. I cant take a loss but it is really annoying seeing the same crap over and over again under this coaching staff. Maybe some of the picks were bad bounces but OSU still made the plays while Miami doesnt take advantage on a couple of pick chances. We had a chance today but you cant be -4 in the turnover battle and miss 2 kicks and think youre going to win against a top tier team. Luckily for my Canes is that we play in a s***ty conference. Congrats Rock.
  8. For whatever reason USF decided to get away from the spread QB reads that worked well in the 1st quarter. and lol@ VT. There goes that great Boise win.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 09:22 AM) I can't imagine the Twins being dumb enough to not bring him back. Unless he decides he wants to retire. Hell, they'd get to run a "chase for 600" promotion of some sort. Well it would be nice to see the Twins be so far behind that they sell him off next season during the trade deadline.
  10. I would love to see Thome win a ring. Hopefully its next year and not in a Twins uniform.
  11. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 08:45 PM) No chance, whatsoever, that this would EVER happen. I agree. Once the Pac-10 brought in Utah, BYU's chances were killed. The Pac-10 now has the Salt Lake market so no need to bring in another team from the area. Plus I'm sure Utah would fight against it. I wouldnt be shocked if BYU ends up in the Big 12 if that conference survives. The Big 12 would then get a share of the Salt Lake market and BYU has a good following nationally. Boise is screwed IMO. They have no market so they bring nothing to the table.
  12. The way AJ missed that, I wonder if that was suppose to be the beanball.
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 08:48 PM) okay, enough of this bulls***. leyland's pitchers always throw at hitters and he whines when his own get hit. that wasnt on purpose. the fastball just ran in.
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 06:47 PM) This you just gotta stop with. It's not Boise's fault that they can hardly get any bcs teams on their schedule. They gotta take whatever the f*** they can get. Oh yeah, nothing is ever Boise's fault. Maybe if Boise didnt demand that all their BCS games take place in week 1 they would find more suitors. Boise is 3-4 vs BCS teams during the regular season in games played in week 2 or later. That is why they dont like playing those games past week 1. And for 2011 Boise filled their non conference up with the likes of Wyoming,Toledo and Tulsa. They kept one spot open for a BCS team and that was once again for week 1. They tried to strong arm Nebraska into that slot since Nebraska was looking for an opponent but Boise wanted more money than Nebraska was willing to pay. So now Boise plays at Ole Miss to open the season.
  15. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 06:52 PM) Teahan at 3B and not Morel or Viciedo. Teahan needs to hit and field Too bad he cant do either of those.
  16. And if Boise wants to get more respect then play these BCS non conference games back to back to back. Right now they only play BCS teams when they can get an extended period of time to prepare for them. They are off this week before playing Wyoming on the 18th and then Oregon State comes to town. So they are basically getting another month off to prepare for 1 game. Teams like Florida have a week to prepare for Alabama but then the following week they play LSU. OSU has a 3 game stretch of Penn St, Iowa and Michigan. Major conference teams dont get the luxury to sell out for 1 game over a course of a few weeks.
  17. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 7, 2010 -> 03:35 PM) Great game last night. But I have to point this out - you know what annoyed me last night? Musburger playing the underdog card all game. Boise goes up early, and after 1 quarter it's "are you shocked America?" Boise scores the TD to go ahead and it's "and Cinderella is alive!!!!" WTF? Um, they are ranked #3 and are actually FAVORED in the game. On the road, mind you. First of all, realize who's playing in the game and the circumstances surrounding it. Second, don't cater the broadcast to the never-watches-college-football-but-just-have-happened-to-tune-into-this-game crowd. Most of us watching last night are knowledgeable fans who knew Boise St was legit (regardless of the argument still going on here), knew everything about the teams, and weren't shocked to see some blue and white team with broncos on their helmet looking formidable aganist a "name" team. It happened multiple times, and it was just really taking away from the broadcast. He's so much better than that, usually. ESPN is broadcasting 5 more Boise games this season. ESPN is in bed with Boise so they need to hype them up to generate ratings. I mean at one point Herbstreit was trying to spin how Boise would still be relevant during the season if they lost to VT(When VT was leading late). And then at the end he was trying to compare FedEx field to Lane Stadium, that's laughable right there. Lane Stadium is one of the most difficult stadiums in football.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 6, 2010 -> 11:35 PM) Boise is a solid team, still think they would lose 3-4 games in a major conference. They had a bunch of calls go in their favor down the stretch which took away from the game significantly IMO. Also, not surprisingly those were Big 10 refs tonight who are routinely horrible. Totally agree. Boise was wearing down as the game went on. If that team played in any BCS conference outside of the Big East, they would lose a few games. ESPN lucked out big time tonight. They broadcast 5 more Boise games this season and if they had lost tonight, no one would give a crap about watching them. Maybe ESPN made a call to the refs during a commercial late in the game.
