  1. wow, that is a pretty scared call there by ND. never trust a kicker in college OT.
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 07:19 PM) "Calling signals in an effort to cause a false start". LOL You cant do that. Happened against the Bucs two weeks ago. If you bark out something and shift your DL, you run the risk of getting that called.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 06:59 PM) A ND fan complaining about letting criminals play is comical. Tommy Rees would have been kicked off the team if he played basketball. or the sexual assault case where ND tried to cover it up and the girl commits suicide. ahh, the selective memory of ND fans.
  4. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 06:53 PM) Pitt made a great decision to play their convicts today. These trio of criminals have been the difference in this game so far.... http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/...charged-assault Did the Pitt players beat anyone to the point where the victim fell from a video tower and die?
  5. damn, was hoping Pitt wouldve returned that kick for a TD so I could see the refs throw a flag for holding.
  6. lol, bogus PI call on Pitt leads to ND TD. If that is a PI then every pass defended is PI. and they miss the extra point. haha
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 06:13 PM) Lack of offense had to catch up to them sometime. Still another Q. I'm not getting excited yet cuz ill be pissed if ND comes back. Not a real shocker either. ND coming off an emotional win playing a .500 team at home as a double digit favorite. Add in their average offense and games like this can happen.
  8. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 03:25 PM) I keep hearing people on other sites say ND plays a cupcake schedule, and they are way overrated because they play all these easy teams. But then I found this link.... http://www.teamrankings.com/college-footba...chedule-by-team ^Is that completely inaccurate? It says ND has played the 6th hardest schedule in the nation. I'm not a big NCAAFB guy, I don't follow too many teams outside of ND, so are these rankings completely off? That is the exact opposite that I've heard all year. All people have said was how difficult the ND schedule was coming into this season. Sure now that the season is playing itself the schedule doesnt appear to be as difficult as advertised but that doesnt mean it was a cake walk.
  9. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 03:07 PM) No offense, but James Franklin is just about the worst SEC QB I've seen this year, and that is saying a lot. Nonchalant, no zip on anything, can't throw a deep ball to save his life. Mizz coulda won that game with even a serviceable QB. On the final interception, Franklin had #85 wide open inside the 10 and he probably gets into the endzone if it was thrown his way.
  10. Everything Missouri runs on offense just looks like its so slow in developing. No clue on why Florida is just sitting back and letting the plays develop.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 11:01 AM) If they fire him, they'll owe him 10 million dollars. After the debacle with Hewitt's "lifetime" contract, the GT Athletic Department has no prayer of affording that much money. Johnson will get one more year, and if it goes poorly maybe he'll walk away (especially with the AD leaving, like you said). Thankfully they have significantly better QBs waiting in the wings than the current one who's been under center the last two years. Yeah, buyouts can really handcuff the smaller schools. Miami was really hurting when they fired Coker and had to buy his contract out along with still paying off basketball coach Perry Clark's contract. Had to hire cheap and got Shannon. Never a good sign when coaches start firing assistants during the season. I dont like the guy and cant see him lasting long but I would be surprised if he isnt given 1 more season.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 10:05 AM) Deadspin pointed this out, lol lol, wow. You'd think those tweets/comments are coming from some internet fanboy trying to sound important. It is almost sad watching/reading this guy.
  13. QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 12:44 AM) Are you kidding me? Manti had possession before it hit the ground(his hand was under it as well) and continued to hold until after it touched the ground. Yes, it moved but the movement wasn't caused by the ground and came well after that. Well after that? The entire catch process was probably 1 second long. Yes he had his hands under it but the top side of the ball hit the ground and then it bobbled into his stomach. If this was an offensive catch it would have been incomplete.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 27, 2012 -> 11:12 PM) Notre Dame just got away with the most obvious pass interference ever on Teo's maybe interception. Also the pass was incomplete. Nose of the ball hit the ground and then moved into his stomach. Pretty obvious it moved.
  15. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Oct 25, 2012 -> 09:21 AM) 2016 Copa America will include the US, Mexico and 4 other CONCACAF teams...and it will be held in the US! That's f***ing phenomenal!!!! I wont cross my fingers on a Tampa match but I'm sure Miami will get one. No doubt I'd drive the 3 hours to see a match if the stars show up.
  16. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 10:38 AM) It's just very odd. All the talk going into the year was how they don't have a quarterback, might have to split time, etc...then they are somehow #2 towards the end of October. Never would have thought that could happen. Gotta wonder if this is the weekend it bites them in the ass. Against LSU they had 1 first down in the first half. Against South Carolina they had 21 points off of 29 total yards in the first half.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 22, 2012 -> 10:55 AM) I guess the cupbard wasnt so bare in Gainesville huh? Still bare on the offensive side of the ball. No one ever argued that there wasnt any talent on defense.
  18. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 20, 2012 -> 09:40 PM) A's got a steal, and the Marlins got robbed. Wasn't there a good market for Heath Bell before the trade deadline? And then they give him away with some 2nd RD prospect that had a terrible year in A-ball, while still paying $9M of his contract? Paying 9M is better than paying the entire 21M. Guess this means Ozzie is staying around.
  19. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 11:18 AM) I hope they do suck, it will be better for my 49ers but their records right now prove otherwise. Looking at just the records isnt a good way to see if a team is good, especially after just 6 weeks. Arizona has played 2 road games this year and they are 1-1. Seattle is 1-3 on the road and St Louis is 0-3. Any halfway decent team can win at home but the good teams find ways to win on the road. Looking at teams who made the playoffs over the last 3 seasons: 2011---12/12 playoff teams finished .500 or better on the road 2010---9/12 2009--10/12 What I'm getting at is if you want to claim best division on football then you need to have more than just 1 legit playoff caliber team within that division. Now while I think Arizona isnt good, if they can win at Minnesota then you'd have to start looking at them as a threat to make the playoffs.
  20. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 10:03 AM) It was a real nice win last night.. The NFC West is the best conf.. It is competitive like other divisions but its not the best division. I'd still but the NFC East and NFC North over the NFC West.
  21. There is still a week left until a full season cant be played. No reason to think anything will happen until the the 23rd really. Nothing ever happens with a week remaining.
  22. If Seattle had grass, I see no reason not to give them a WCQ. With that fanbase, no doubt it will be a very pro-American crowd. Columbus will get Mexico and I'm sure Salt Lake will get a game too. There will be atleast 1 NFL stadium and maybe 2 just because of number of tickets that could be sold.
