O'Brien sucked last year and was benched on a 2-10 team. -

Very lackluster effort tonight. Just sloppy all around. Missed Landon and Bradley big time. Glad I dont have to hear the Jamaican commentator anymore. And is beIn TV carrying the road games of the Hex too? If so, ugh. -

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 02:09 PM) WC qualifiers begin in Europe today and the next batch of CONCACAF games as well. US-Jamaica at 8PM tonight! Ireland beat Kazakhstan with a miraculous comeback. PK in the 89th minute and a winner in stoppage time gave them a 2-1 victory That comeback keeps their slim hopes alive. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 07:02 PM) For all you bettors out there, Florida State is a 70.5 point favorite against Savannah State this weekend, largest point spread ever. The Tigers did lose 84-0 to OK St., last week. My book has dropped all the way to 63.5 I would have taken Savannah St in a heartbeat at 70.5 -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 08:11 PM) They did stretch it out, and it ran to where it will be over 5 games after the regular season. Melky was also making $6 million, is 28 and people still think he may be able to get $10 million a year, so it would be more advantageous financially for Melky to serve his suspension this season. For AJ, if there is any truth to it, it would be the opposite. Who thinks he still may get $10M a year? No shock that the Giants went from trying to sign Melky to breaking off talks and trading for another OF after the ASB. It's only September and FA signings usually dont start happening until the winter meetings. You really think lawyers would be able to stretch this out for another 3-4 months at the very minimum?

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 08:03 PM) Konerko was having a career year this season before he was beaned, hurt his wrist, and elbowed in the head. And Konerko was averaging 35HR a year the past two seasons. So for him to go on the same rise as AJ, he'd have to hit 105HR this season.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:56 PM) One thing halfway decent lawyers are good it is dragging things out. AJ is making $6 million this year. If he had a positive PED test, there is no way at his age he will get anything close to that rate during his next contract. If he tested positive 2 weeks ago like what is being claimed, his people could stretch this out until the offseason and he'll get paid plus perhaps make some playoff money. If lawyers could stretch this out, you'd think Melky would have done so. I'd be more shocked if he wasn't on something. Or maybe he's just lucky to be having a career year at 35 during a contract season.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 08:29 PM) Never, EVER put faith in a Tom O'Brien team...UTenn is torching them, and the N.C. State OL is getting abused. aint that the truth. NCST had plenty of chances early but when they screwed up, the royally screwed up -

I jumped on UCF/Akron over 45 on Monday and its up to 49 now. I'm leaning towards Washington -14.5 vs SDST, Oklahoma -31 vs UTEP. Also like Syracuse to win at home vs Northwestern. The Bowling Green-Florida game opened at 29 and I was hoping it would go towards the 31 but its dropped to 28.5. With the little offensive talent Florida has right now, I'd take my chances on 30-31 points and hope that BG could score 10-13. -
He was good up until a few years ago before he turned himself into a one-line machine. Now he is just annoying.

Maybe this is just Carroll trying to buy some more time with Seattle. If he starts the big money QB and lose then people are breathing down his neck. Playing a rookie and losing can atleast let him say we're building towards next year. Given how brutal Seattle's schedule is, I would have started Flynn and went to Wilson when things went bad. I think its easier to pull the plug on a guy like Flynn than a rookie during the course of a season. First 10 games until bye week--@Arizona,Dallas,Green Bay, @St Louis,@Carolina, New England,@ San Fran,@Detroit,Minnesota,NYJ Only game I can pencil in as a win would be Minnesota right now.

I can eat the hell out of some peanut butter M&Ms. actually M&Ms are my weakness. I rarely buy candy but if there is a jar of M&Ms in front of me, I'll just graze on them all day. -
Good thing Seattle spent all that money on Flynn...

Harrelson's rant front page ESPN news again...suspension pending?
zenryan replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Only thing bad about his rant is how he kept repeating the same words over and over. I guess when the talentless hack isnt reading from a script, he cant come up with good material. His ego has turned himself into a character. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 23, 2012 -> 01:43 PM) I did find a couple old articles from the Orlando Sentinel from AJ's Twins days that mention AJ having a stepfather named Jack Harrelson. No mention of Jack being related to Hawk, but this is before AJ was on the Sox so it wouldn't necessarily come up. There's also the Orlando connection. If I had to guess, I'd say that Jack is either a cousin or nephew of Hawk. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2002-1...zynski-clermont http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2002-0...american-league AJ didnt start his HS career at Dr Phillips. He came over for his sophomore season. No relation. -
I've always been suspicious of him. Some of it because of his comeback and some because of the dirty sport that is cycling. But what he's done outside of cycling was probably worth the cheating part of his career. This sport is so dirty its not even funny. They should just embrace the cheating and let the guys ride. It's basically World's Strongest Man on bicycles.

funny how just a few days ago Jones was calling Sonnen and racist and talking s*** about him but backs away from probably an easy win. so long are the days of actual fighters competing in these events. multiple fights in a night, not knowing who youre fighting until a day or so before the event, anyone/anywhere/anytime mentalities. nowadays its just who is the better athlete.
