QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 11:18 PM) So USC was favored by 8.5 tonight...gonna be some unhappy people. those assf***s pissed me off because I had the team total OVER 13.5 in the second half. NCAA rules is the extra point must be kicked no matter what. I needed either OT or what happened to have a chance. f***ing idiots for running onto the field. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 04:31 PM) I really think Wisconsin's going to be great this year. Russell Wilson is a super college QB. And NC State is down 17-3 at Wake. "Hey NCST, tell me how my ass tastes"--Russell Wilson -

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 04:08 PM) If the illini can win next week they might have a legit shot to play in a bowl game. Would be nice after a few dissapointing seasons since their rose bowl appearance. I put money on them to win their division. Favorable schedule and good team IMO but beating Wisconsin is a real long shot. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 04:02 PM) The Canes are going to slaughter the Buckeyes. ISU vs Iowa would be a great in conference rivalry. If they went to 16 teams (for the "superconference"), I would think they would be a good option. Well Harris is starting.... -

ESPN can breathe a sigh of relief. No way they wanted a 1-1 OSU at 0-1 Miami haha. -
Just tragic. It's been a horrible summer for hockey with all these deaths.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 07:30 PM) It's also why them going independent is the most likely scenario to me. Yup, go independent for a season or two and see how things shake out. Texas will be wanted by a few conferences so they wont need to rush to another conference to be the 13th or 14th team. They'll take their time and be the 15th/16th team in a mega conference. -

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 10:19 PM) Looks like it's officially done. http://tamu.scout.com/ "At tonight's SEC Presidents Meeting, early word filtering out from Atlanta indicates that Texas A&M received the sufficient votes to gain an invitation to join the Southeastern Conference effective 7/1/2012. In other news, details are sketchy but sources also indicate that the SEC presidents gave SEC Commissioner Mike Slive the authority to negotiate with both Missouri and West Virginia to possibly be the fourteenth conference member" Their low academic standards for football will fit in nicely with the majority of the SEC. -

There's a New Orleans University at Rhode Island? -

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 06:43 PM) I think we are just seeing the beginning of the movement once A&M gets it started. The issue would be that the Big East would have 20 basketball teams and 12 football teams already. If the SEC takes Clemson or VT from the ACC, where would the ACC turn? I also can't see the Big 10 expanding just to expand. It's going to be an interesting September. It's gotta be VT to the SEC for the market. I would suppose the ACC tries to cherry pick some of the Big East. Maybe go after a Louisville or Syracuse. edit---I'll also throw in Pittsburgh as a team the ACC should focus on. -

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 08:43 AM) Although it was only UL-Monroe, FSU looked really good. Defense is strong, special teams are amongst the best in the country and EJ Manuel looked really good. Better than I expected. Reminded me a lot of a young Randall Cunningham. Can't wait for the OU game in Tallahassee in 2 weeks FSU wins that game then they should be 12-0 going in the ACC Title game against VT. -

man, we played our hearts out tonight. Defense couldnt stop anything between the 20s but they stepped up in the red zones to give us a chance. I'm encouraged with how this team played under these new coaches. A Randy Shannon coached team wouldve lost by 3 TDs tonight. That fumble at the end of the first half was just a killer. Stephen Morris better be our QB against Ohio State. -
Curb is just killing it this season!

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 11:23 PM) Tarnished Dome should of not been ranked in the top 25 to begin with. And Georgia shouldnt have been too. I guess they get the benefit of being from the SEC. This is a Georgia team that finished 6-7 last year, couldnt score a TD against a C-USA team in the Liberty Bowl, have no running backs and lost their best offensive player. But lets rank them! -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 12:54 PM) Boston College's QB is f***ing terrible. BC has really turned into a joke since they fired Jags. If they keep this coach around after this year then they arent serious about their football program anymore. -

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 07:36 AM) If nothing else, it was amusing to watch Kentucky tally a whopping 76 yards of TOTAL offense midway through the 4th quarter. Of course, the 2 plays on their only earned touchdown drive, made it look better. And that against a team that is 4-32 in the last 4 seasons of D1 football... lol, I watched most of that game because my dumbass had the over. My goodness UK sucks. Vandy might not finish last in the East this season. There is no way Kentucky wins more then 1 game in conference. -

Even though it was expected, last night really sucked from an entertainment standpoint. I cant remember the last time I wasnt excited about the opening Thursday night games on ESPN.
