Here are some plays I like for tomorrow. Miss St/Memphis OVER 50.5 Wake Forest/Syracuse UNDER 49.5 Kentucky/Western Kentucky OVER 50.5 -
Wow, there seems to be a lot of people in leagues here. Must be a midwest thing. I like bowling but I go once a year. Living in the tourist area of Orlando just makes going to the lanes not worth the hassle. My best score is 186! haha

The NCAA still can slap around Miami because of infractions by past players. It's just that the current players at Miami are clean for the most part. Miami working well with the NCAA and the pull that the school's president has must be working for them at the moment. -

Suspensions handed out by the NCAA for Miami. 6 games--Olivier Vernon. He's a starter and missing him for that long will hurt but atleast its a position where there is talent behind him. 4 games--Ray Ray Armstrong safety, Dyron Dye. Armstrong will be missed because there isnt much behind him worth noting. Losing Dye has no impact at all. 1 game--Jacory Harris, Marcus Fortson DT, Sean Spence LB, Travis Benjamin, Adewale Ojomo DE. All are starters although Harris might not be. Losing the offensive players for the first game shouldnt really hurt but the game but the defense might be shaky at best. All in all, not really that bad. -

I know hindsight is 20/20 but was there really a reason to send Stewart out there in the 7th? -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 09:22 AM) Who cares, the Tigers have already won this division. /thread

Every team in the AFC West has gotten better really except Oakland. San Diego will bounce back, KC is another year older( but they might regress record wise because of a brutal schedule) and Denver got a huge upgrade in John Fox. -
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Aug 21, 2011 -> 06:28 PM) If that's the scenario, it's gonna be tough, the kittens would have to have a meltdown like they did a few years ago when the Twinkies caught them in the last week. Yup. It is really stacked against the Sox. For starters, we're asking a team that hasnt been more than a game over .500 in months to at minimum be 8 over for the last 36 games. And even if that is to somehow happen, we need the Tigers to choke it away against bad teams.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 05:52 PM) The Gophers are really the only team he considered that isnt being investigated. There hasnt been any talk on the Miami boards about him wanting to leave. Unless he really misses home, it's probably in his best interest to stay and rehab and then have a monster 2012 and leave for the NFL. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) Notre Dame is a money powerhouse in a way that Miami currently is not though. The Death Sentence for Notre Dame costs a ton of people a ton of money. The Death Sentence for Miami doesn't feel like it changes much to me. If I were buying people for one of the top flight SEC schools, Miami getting the death sentence wouldn't scare me. Miami isnt going to get the death penalty because it will cost the NCAA millions of dollars. There are tv contracts(ACC just signed a new deal) and the possibility of ruining a university to consider. The NCAA doesnt want another SMU on their hands. Miami is working with the NCAA on this and isnt trying to cover anything up. Nothing points to Shannon or Coker having any part and that is a plus. Also the ADs and coaches who were around during these allegations arent with the school anymore. I'm going to guess worst case is USC type probation. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 01:34 PM) My point is they haven't been to a BCS Bowl the last 7 seasons, even with all of this cheating going on. You'd think cheating on this level would be worth more than that. I think this is getting thrown around a little too much. From the sounds of it, the majority of these players started getting benefits after getting on campus. Maybe this booster should have spent his stolen money on securing the top recruits. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 01:29 PM) I wonder if Seantreal Henderson is going to transfer again. He seems to be a compliance jinx. Well it would be the best time for him to do so since he's out for the season because of back surgery. -

Jonathan Vilma just donated 450K to the school like 2 weeks ago. If the school had any balls, they'd call his ass up and tell him to come pick up his check. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 07:56 PM) That story about the U was an entertaining read. Why is that Yahoo is the only whoever comes up with these stories? I assume its cause they don't have the money invested that ESPN does, but they are connected with Rivals now. Well maybe this is why Yahoo doesnt spend much time going after SEC schools. I gotta think Rivals makes atleast 60% of their revenue off of subscription services bought in SEC country. -

yup, Miami is going to get fried here. I cant be upset because I'm not shocked at all. This crap is happening at all major programs but when you add in a glamour city like Miami, its going to be 1000 times worse. I want to comment on this stupid ass booster but I dont want to come across as trying to pass some of the blame off of the players. So does this mean the 2010 Miami-OSU game is a tie now? haha -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 01:31 PM) NFL preseason is such a joke, as is the fact they charge season ticket holders full price to watch Jay Cutler take six snaps. And the only other home preseason game for Chicago is the preseason finale. So he'll either not play or get another 6 snaps for the home crowd. -

QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 13, 2011 -> 05:53 PM) Part of me wants Mizzou to jump to the SEC so I can be one of the pompous a-holes bragging about how much better my school's conference is, but for the most part I don't want to go 7-5 every year. I was going to tell you that atleast Missouri will be going to an easier basketball conference and could compete for conference titles. But then I remembered that you stole Haith from us... -

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Aug 13, 2011 -> 08:23 PM) Ignoring the player they bought in Cam Newton, I think you are underestimating Auburn as a program. They are 13th all time in wins. They are above Vandy, Kentucky, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. They would be above Clemson, A&M, and Mizzou as well. But I do agree with your point. Who would have ever seen a perennial doormat in South Carolina step up and win a SEC division? And all it took was Florida, Georgia and Tennessee to hit a downward turn. No one 10 years ago would have thought South Carolina would win the East division but they still lost 3 conference games. Not like they were a top tier team. -

ND has held out this long from joining a conference, no way do they join the Big 12 at this point.
