  1. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 10:01 AM) United States beat Canada 2-0 in their first Gold Cup match. Didn't catch any of the game but sounds as if they were mostly in control. Jozy and Dempsey with the goals. Really controlled the first half. Could have scored another goal or two before the break. I dont remember the Gold Cup being so lopsided in the past. Three games have finished 5-0 and another finished 7-1.
  2. I am so livid right now. I want to put my remote through my wall. Could have won any of the 3 games in Vancouver and the B's came up 0-3. Vancouver in 6 or Bruins in 7.
  3. and the biggest b**** of the year goes to....
  4. gosh, I feel bad for you Blackhawk fans who have to deal with the Canucks and their fans a few times a year. If watching them dive and hold their faces every time they are touched isnt bad enough, now their fans are crying about Tim Thomas laying out their player and calling the hit on Horton nothing more than a good hockey hit.
  5. wow, never seen a team just fold up in a Cup finals. gotta keep this energy rolling into Wednesday.
  6. lol, no chance Ohio St loses 2002. They shouldnt either. It's been 10 years. If the NCAA goes that far back to take away a title, just about ever team from the 90s and 80s are in trouble.
  7. absolutely dirty by Vancouver. Someone from Vancouver needs to get lit up tonight.
  8. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 11:05 PM) If that is true then its just an amazing fluke. Being down 1-2 with 2 more consecutive home games doesnt put overwhelming odds on a team to come back. If the Mavs can protect home court the next 2 games and go back to Miami only needing to win 1 game then they have a good chance. That would take someone on the Mavs outside of Dirk coming up huge on the offensive end. I can see it happening in game 4 but I dont see it happening two games in a row. Whoever(probably Dallas) loses this series is really going to be kicking themselves. Miami can say they should be up 3-0 and Dallas could say they should be up 2-1 if someone outside of Dirk could knockdown some shots consistently.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 08:48 PM) We held our WNBA fantasy draft the other day. The categories are ACL tears, pregnancy leaves and publicly coming out. I like my teams, got a lot of players with hyphenated names so we should be good with in-season pregnancy leave of absences. LOL You might get the double whammy of a pregnancy and coming out from the same girl. My friend who plays basketball in Europe was hooking up with a girl who used to play in the WNBA but is now in Europe playing. She said there was one pretty famous WNBA player who divorced her husband for some teammate.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 07:09 PM) So the guy who should have been suspended scores the winning goal, perfect lol, no s***. After game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, a TB radio host was complaining about a video from a cell phone that showed Horton spraying a fan with a water bottle and then tossing it at the fan. Of course tons of TB fans were calling for him to be suspended from game 7 and even called league offices after the host posted the number on the station website. And guess who scored the only goal the next night...
  11. I wish Marty McSorley could play one shift against Burrows....
  12. You live with the goalie who gets himself out of position and you die with him getting out of position.
  13. I say if he doesnt win the Gold Cup then send Bradley packing. I also dont buy the wanting to see the depth argument when it comes to who Bradley played today. The starting 11 should have been out there for the first half(minus Donavon since he was sick). Let the scrubs play the final 45 minutes. USSF hyped this game for awhile and sold a lot of tickets, even sold tickets to training sessions. The fans deserved better than this today. I think Bradley didnt want to take the chance of the starters getting worked over by Spain and him getting put on the hot seat. Now he's able to say, "yeah but it wasnt with the starters. This was for seeing what we have for the future." Bulls***, we've seen these guys get lots of minutes against Paraguay and South Africa.
  14. QUOTE (IowanSoxFan @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 02:06 PM) Diana Taurasi is on steroids. yeah he is.
  15. man, Illinois and CSF have basically the same uniform template.
  16. QUOTE (IowanSoxFan @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 07:20 PM) Anyone else think that Chara should be at the point on the power play instead of infront of Lou? I think he needs to move back. It was a nice experiment in the TB series as a change of pace for a struggling power play. But he just isnt good enough with the stick or quick enough to get after the loose pucks around the crease. I wouldnt be against putting him in front once every 3 or 4 power plays. Overall though it actually helped the PP. In the Montreal series, the B's couldnt even get into the zone or keep the puck for any length of time. Now they actually look like they know what theyre doing out there. Just cant find the net.
  17. Thought this was interesting. This guy worked inside the Arkansas athletic department for 9 years. link
  18. Bosh better hope Miami wins this series so he can get a ring because I wouldnt be surprised if he's trade bait this summer.
  19. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 11:57 PM) I did find it sad that Wade was having a huge game and LeBron couldn't handle it. He wanted to be the hero and ended up costing the Heat the game along with Chris Bosh playing his usual p**** role. I dont know about that. James had 4 shots in the last 5 minutes and Wade had 3. Just didnt seem like any of the other 3 Heat players wanted to participate down the stretch. Barkley summed it up perfectly just now. He said Wade and James were trying to play hero but launching 3's as the shot clock neared zero. James should have just lowered his head and bulldozed his way to the rim. He would have gotten the call if there was any contact.
  20. I took Mavs at +13.5 during the timeout when it was 88-73. I also had Dirk over 25.5 and Mavs team over 96 which both lost by just a shot. I lost money tonight but I dont even care!
  21. lol, what a meltdown by the Mavs. You;d think a team playing in the Finals would be a little bit more composed out there.
