  1. Danks is a wuss, can't see how the royals are worse than the sox
  2. I'll probably ask about all time next. I did this to everyone's opinion on players we actually saw, it's been interesting
  3. QUOTE (MAX @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 08:12 PM) Ray durham was one of favorites growing up but I didn't really pay attention to stats or defense back then. Looking at his stats now, he looks like the far superior player to me. Is there a reason you'd take cora over him? Actually iguchi would probably be better too. I'm not trying to criticize. I just don't get what cora brings. Wow you da man, I had forgot bout ray Durham, yeah I think I would put ray ahead of Cora a slight bit.
  4. QUOTE (MAX @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 06:12 AM) Joey Cora? Yes, Cora was decent for us and from what I've seen at second for the sox well...
  5. Ok I'm bored and coming from the other thread about mark about all time pitchers. Ok now there's a catch, players you've seen(in person, tv, whatever) example I was born in 1975 so I'll be talking about players anywhere from 80-81 on, give it a 5-6 year period, so if you were born in 85 don't talk about dick Allen.. Ohh and only one choice you can maybe do a split for one player, can't go agh DH Thomas/Franco and third crede/Ventura, can only do this once... Make a 25 man roster My is..... LF Magglio ordonez CF. Lance Johnson RF. Harold Baines 3B. Robin Ventura SS. Ozzie Guillen 2B. Joey Cora 1B. Paul Konerko DH. Frank Thomas C. Carlton Fisk SP. Jack McDowell SP. Alex Fernandez SP. Floyd Bannister SP. Mark buehrle SP. Lamar Hoyt RP. Roberto Hernandez RP. Matt Thornton RP. Bobby Thigpen RP. Keith foulke RP. Scott radinsky
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 06:41 PM) 1.) I already said I didn't want Juan back, even though I respect what he made out of his season. I also said I'd cut Dunn and keep Rios and make him fourth outfielder just because of the contract. In a perfect world, yes I'd cut both. I'd resign Mark. Sign Ozzie to a 4 year extension; move Kenny to another job. Why is my post quoted here? And puhlesse Ozzie needs to go.
  7. Without looking.. Dave kingman, Rob deer, mark Reynolds, Steve balboni
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 05:31 PM) 1.) Jeezus Louisas. Are u kidding? See ya Mark? He is a legend. 2.) Overrated? Great stuff here. Way to treat a Sox legend, Mark Buehrle, perhaps the best pitcher in Sox history, at least modern history. ... 12 wins? Hell I thought wins mean nothing to sabes people anyway. 3.) Excellent post! Wow excuse me black jack, Alex Fernandez, Floyd bannister, Joel horlen, Gary peters, Ed Walsh.....
  9. From baseball-reference: A friend of Mark Buehrle's doesn’t believe the left-hander would retire after the season, when he is set to hit free agency. Buehrle would have been open to pitching for the Cardinals, but they have a full rotation set up for 2012, assuming they exercise Adam Wainwright’s options. White Sox officials have been saying they need to cut payroll, according to Stark. Like the Cardinals, they have five starters under team control for 2012 even without Buehrle. Also this..... The Marlins won’t be able to obtain manager Ozzie Guillen from the White Sox unless they’re willing to part with a “big-time player.”
  10. QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 07:23 PM) Once we fire Mark Salas our season will be saved.. Fire him now!!! Huh ?
  11. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 09:03 PM) I gotta say I'm a big fan of Josh Lewin. I know in a million years Hawk wont be fired, but 'd love him as the play by play man in Chicago. Ohhhh please no
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 07:48 PM) 1) You are just angry that we won. You just want Ozzie to get fired. 2) Wait until he goes to Florida and wins multiple titles and we get a boring manager that just says the same thing all of the time. Green right?
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 07:31 PM) This team just really excels at fundamentals. Send a message and bench Alexei for a few games! But but.... He could have won the gold glove......
  14. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 10:28 PM) Me and you are some of the few who like Morel. For a rookie who plays great defense he gets way too much hate around here. Also one of the few Sox who can go to right when the situation calls for it. Too many around here want instant superstars. I want progress from a rookie and he's showed me that. I like morel, I think he'll be ok
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 08:57 PM) No, that's way too good. He needs to hit about .130 to move upwards. LOL good one
