QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) Was reading on WSI as well as heard from a few friends that were standing in line this morning for tickets that Brooks Boyer said he wishes that the Sox would introduce Iguchi tonight at the opening cermonies.. Now is he giving us a hint that the Sox are about to sign him. He also talk about Iguchi with Bruce Wolf Don't know what the hard on for this guy is. Who else wants him? If he's sooo good? I 'm the Yanks need a second baseman and haven't even been Mentioned to e after him

My Dream WSox 2B man
QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) If somehow the Sox can get Jose Vidro from the Nationals he would have such a solid 2b man for many years to come... I think Marte& a high prospect just might get it done

Cora to Cleveland
QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 08:46 PM) The following players are still available via free agency. SHORTSTOPS: Rich Aurilia Deivi Cruz Barry Larkin Cody Ransom SECOND BASE: Roberto Alomar (LOL) Ricky Gutierrez Rey Sanchez Enrique Wilson Nobody on that list is appealing to me. If KW can't bring Iguchi here he might as well pursue a trade. Hell if that Durham thing is true i say go for it. Why worry so much? Cody Ransom was signed bt the Cubs. Willie will get it done

Cora to Cleveland
QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) "Cleveland Indians Updated:01/13/2005 Alex Cora, the Dodgers' regular second baseman for the past two years, has agreed in principle to play for the Indians, reports the Orange County Register. Cora, 29, who wasn't tended a contract by Los Angeles, likely will play shortstop for Cleveland at least during the first year of his two-year deal, the newspaper said." Options continue to slim down... That is from CBSSportsline.com if you are curious. Thank You GOD!!!! Cora Sucks

Schoenweis, Koch to Jays
What Magic? QUOTE(AstralSox @ Jan 11, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) I think Koch'll win the closers role and have a marginally improved season. Lets say: 4.50 era 29 saves. Schoeny will probably continue at his normal pace, Rotoworld's reporting that they'll use him in the bullpen, but they Blue Jays don't exactly have a sparkling rotation so it can go either way. I'll say: 6-7; 4.85 era; 98 so Sorry if this seems off topic....I'm bored :banghead

Grade the Off-Season
Gave it a B, It would be an A if we would got a top line starter. Duque ain't a bad Signing but i would have loved a top guy. Of course it was hard to get one. I guess i'm not an easy A giver

Levine Reports on Sox Offers
QUOTE(JimH @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) Why? Because all Japanese players will perform the same? If there's a Puerto Rican player who doesn't pan out, should we have the same mindset? Sorry, that's generalizing on your part. Ahhh I didn't mean it cause he's a Jap. He could be Iraqi, PuertoRican, Cuban or from Mongolia. What i meant is the hype he brings, the same hype that Kazao Matsui Brought last year and honestly he sucked with the Mets. If we sign him and he does good Great, It would be nice. But i'm not hoping he's a sure thing that's what i meant

Remaking Vince Neil
Wow Did not know that about mick, thanks QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 03:18 AM) Formerly and now currently ( again ) of Motley Crue. They're going on a US reunion tour, despite Mick Mars having a VERY serious illness that virtually guarantees that he'll be unable to complete the tour. He's had one hip replaced, he's going to need the other one done, only one of his vocal cords works, his eyesight, posture and hearing are affected by the illness and he only weighs 112 pounds right now. He says he's in constant, excruciating pain and that greed is his only reason to do the tour. If you saw them on the Tonight Show last night, you'd have been downright scared for Mick's health and life. It's THAT bad.

EDITED TO ADD that Desmond Child is an absolute prick. What an ego-riddled asswipe! Vince Neil? Formerly of Motley Crue?
