  1. I did. I don't care if my caomments carry any weight in you. I got my opinion. Don't like it..... There's a little thing on your right... do you see it.. It's called the scroll bar... USE IT!! Ohh and if you read i said i like the pickup of D'angelo.. CAPPICHE
  2. just to see if his opinion means anything to me. If someone like Jimenez is on that list, his comments carry no weight. Nuff Said
  3. For one I don't really care if they mean any thing to you. Second I liked the Pickup of DJ. Third Rivera Sucks if he was sooo good he wouldn't have been Waived. Josh Paul and Rivera could be mentioned in the same Breath
  4. WhiteSox History 1954 Althrough they finished third again, the SOx had an outstanding season with both Minnie Minoso and Nelson Fox in the batting race and four pitchers in the top 11 in the league ERA rankings. Minoso (.320) finished second in hitting and Fox (.319) third with Minoso also hitting 19 homers and driving 116 runs. The final result was a 94-60 record, 17 games out. Paul Richards left to accept a general manager post in Baltimore and coach Marty Marion managed the team after Sept 14. Primarily responsible for the good showing were Virgil Trucks (19-12) , Sandy Consuegra (16-3), Jack Harshman (14-8) and Bob Keegan (16-9). Consuegra led the league in winning percentage (.842) and was second in ERA (2.69) while Trucks, Harshman and Keegan all finished in the top 11. Injuries again sidelined Ferris Fain as well as third baseman George Kell and utility man Cass Michales who was beaned in Philadelphia, suffering a Doble skull Fracture
  5. Not to sound like a naysayer, but Ring hasn't been as dominant as his numbers indicate. Don't get me wrong, he has been very, very good, but there have been a handful of instances where he has given up other pitcher's runs. Please let me reiterate that I am not bashing him, because he has been great. But his numbers look so unbelievable that one would think he has hardly been touched. He has been more human than his numbers show, but he still has been excellent. As a Birmingham fan, I'd love to see him stay here all year. Not sure that will happen though. The mark of a great releif pitcher is to get that first hitter out. Many relievers on the Sox have failed to do that this year. I think Ring has a great future though. Imagine him with Marte as the two lefties in the pen. Open some trade possibilties. Don't Count out Arnie
  6. Isn't beltran like 5 or 6 years Younger
  7. He Does and he's from down here. So don't think i don't say that about my guys. Rivera was a Prospect a couple years a go and just sailed away. Another piece of s*** picked up by the Sox

  10. I doubt it. Jerry has already said that Pauly will go to DH in Chicago, with Frank at first. hEH!!! How many times have we heard Muley say one thing and do another
  11. I hope as a DH. Cause many People talk about Jose but Graffy's glove is Iron too and he has no range at all
  12. Loaiza could be 11-2 right now. Remember a few No Decisions he had that he was winning
  13. well i didnt see these games but i have noticed frank has been standing so far back in the box again, hes like on the very back corner and not doing his usual open footed stance... it was driving me nuts.....i hope he has found his groove these past few games now cause i hate to have to yell at him each and every at bat as to where he should be standing and how.......lol.... If he does he can really lead by example and maybe inspire this bunch. Hey a hot streak and where back in it. But when i MEAN hot streak is winning like 16 outta 20 something like that

  17. WhiteSox History 1953 A winning record in every month except September (11-13) enabled the Sox to finish third for the second straight season, 11.5 games from the league lead. A 20-10 July was the hottest part of the season. The final record was 89-65. Minnie Minoso soared to .313 with 15 homers and a team high 104 RBI's while Nelson Fox hit .259 with a surprising, carrer high 72 RBI's. Shortstop Chico Carrasquel batted .279 but Farris Fain , a two time batting champion acquired from the Philadelphia A's, was a major dissapointment. Fain broke a finger in an Aug. 2 fight and ended up hitting only .256 with 6 homers and 52 RBI's. A more successful deal was the one on June 13 that brought Bob Elliott and righthander Virgil Trucks to Comiskey Park. Elliott hit .260 in 67 Games with the Sox but Trucks won his first 8 decisions, had 13 complete games and a 15-6 record in 21 starts, fininshing the year 20-10 overall with a 2.93 ERA. Billy Pierce was 18-12 and his 2.72 ERA was second best in the league.
