For those who were there, do yourself a favor and at least watch the Cesaro/Miz match Owens on commentary was the best part of the show. He had done a lot of guest commentary for a few different Indy companies in the past and it's all been gold. Pretty decent PPV last night. With the next PPV being 3 weeks away,I expect to see a lot of the same feuds continue. Maybe a 4 way match of some sorts between Owens/Zayn//Cesaro/Miz.. -

Rolle and Slauson released. I know they drafted Whitehair and brought in a ton of depth for the interior but releasing Slauson is kind of baffling. Only rationale I can think of is he's not the fleetest of foot and they wanted more athleticism out of the position(like Long). -

I think this confirms that's what they were going for. Pretty cool stuff. Props White Sox Twitter guy. -

Ben Braunecker could be a solid UDFa pick up for the Bears. Top performer at every drill among TEs. Said to be a nasty run blocker. -

Love them bringing in Hoyer. Legit quality backup. I have a lot more confidence in him vs the majority of the QBs this year. -

Daniel Braverman WR. Checked out his rotoworld page, first thing I read says he might be the best slot WR in the draft...Next thing I read compares him to Wes Welker. With Eddie Royal being booty last year, they might get some production out of their 7th round pick. Love that. -

QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Apr 30, 2016 -> 03:09 PM) Are the Bears concerned about Cutler's backups in Blanchard and Fales? Do they want to find his successor in the next few drafts but in the higher rounds? I think the Bears bring in Hoyer or Foles. -

Nolan Nawrocki had him ranked as the 75th overall prospect. I think this confirms Hall will be a CB.... Jerrell Adams going to the Giants feels like payback for the Floyd pick. -

SOURCES TELL US "He's the best pure running back in this draft. I've coached some good ones and he's what you look for. His injuries will knock him back a round or so, and he's not as well-rounded as Ezekiel Elliott is, but I think this kid is the best runner in this year's draft." -- AFC running backs coach -

I remember some former player got a mock draft posted on NFL.com where he had Howard in the first round. Anyone remember who that was? 1st round was dumb, but I really like the value here late. -

I'm hoping we see Zach Sanchez drafted with one of the picks. Really solid in coverage but just has to become a better tackler. Jalen Mills, listed as a S, is another guy I really like at CB. Looked fantastic at the Senior Bowl. My guy Nick VanHoose is being criminally underrated and he's another guy I like at CB. Could probably grab him in the 5th if the pass on corner in the 4th. For the 4th round I'm hoping for Sanchez/Mills, Jarrell Adams(TE), and Dak Prescott....... I may be alone on this, but I think Antrell Rolle is your starting safety next year and am 100% fine with that. Also liked Jones-Quarterly a bit. RB was Elliot or bust for me. Go with Langford/Carey for a year and if that doesn't work out, next years class is loaded. -

PFF had Floyd with the 4th highest pass rush grade in the whole draft and ranked 2nd among edge rushers. While his "paper stats" don't look good, he was still highly productive it would appear. Another thing perhaps worth noting is when you like at Aldon Smith, a lot of his sacks were designed to where he went ungaurded. With a dominate front 3 and with Floyd's athleticism, I gaurentee you will see a ton of twists where he fakes outside then swings around and goes up the gut. With the slower OLBs the bears had last year Fangio couldn't really do that. -

QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 03:47 PM) I'm really not trying to pile on, but that only makes you feel worse. He's a late-riser based on pure athleticism and the two much better options at linebacker careening down draft boards due to injury. That's not encouraging. The Justin Houston comparison is a hollow one. Houston already weighed 30 lbs more than Floyd when Houston came out. And Floyd should have a mature build now than Houston did then, Houston has been in the league 5 years and he'll only be 3 years older than Floyd for Game 1. Houston also had 7.5 and 10.0 sacks his last two years at UGA, Floyd wishes he had those numbers. The fact that he can supposedly play in a 4-3 doesn't matter to the Bears, because the Bears run a 3-4. They never mix fronts like that with Fangio either. I'm sorry guys, I know you want to believe in Pace, but this was a s***ty pick. It was even s***tier to burn a 4th moving up for him. Pace can still be a good GM after Floyd busts, but this pick could've been used so many better ways and it will haunt the Bears. The Bears absolutely mix fronts. He's just 19 pounds lighter than Aldon Smith was coming out. Man already calling Floyd and White busts before they even play one game.....Mercy. -

QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 02:24 PM) So they try to move up to grab one of the best players in the draft but can't do it. Then, as can only happen in the NFL, the overall best player in the draft falls like a rock. The Bears size on that opportunity to draft......Grandpa Leonard, the guy about whom every conversation starts with a list of excuses as to why he's so old they had to carbon date him and he didn't do anything at Georgia. Pace seems pretty good at drafting in later rounds, but I get the feeling he has no idea how to draft in the 1st. Two very bad picks in a row. Mercy. Did White even have any medical red flags going into the draft? I don't know how you can call him a "very bad pick." Leonard Floyd hasn't even stepped on the football field yet and he's already a bad pick. Kyle Long is the best 1st round pick the Bears have made in years and that dude only started a handful of games in college. Plus I'm fairly certain he was on the older side as well. Let this s*** play out man. -

QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 12:21 PM) A guy who only had 4.5 sacks as a 23 year old in NCAA? And the Bears trade UP to get him? Aldon Smith only had 3 the year before getting draft. I read Floyd only lined up on the edge 61% of the time. Played in the middle and even in the slot last year. There were reports the Giants had him on top of their wish list so yes, if he was their guy then they had to trade up for him. -

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 09:56 AM) Sounds like the Colts and Packers were both close to taking Myles Jack. It's gotta be a tough call for a GM. Could be a great player or he could last 5 games. Sucks that two of the best players in this draft have serious injuries. Jack and Smith. What were your thoughts on the Kenny Clark pick? Of all the projected 1st round DLinemen he was one of the few who was just "meh" to me. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 09:52 AM) I really like Bullard, I think he can be our Justin Smith. With the Bears seemingly being open to Rankins who is on the short side, Billings is another guy who has ridiculous strength like Justin Smith. Bears are in a really solid position right now if they do wanna take a DL. -

For every team to pass on Jack, his knee has to be pretty jacked. If teams thought he was gonna play this year, I think someone would have taken him. Chris Jones, Jarran Reed, or A'Shawn Robinson are my guys,. In that order..... You get a dominate front 3 in front of these LBs and they are gonna do whatever they want. Expect to see Leonard Floyd stunting a lot. -

I have been of the opinion that the Bears didn't need an OLB, but if they did think otherwise, Floyd would have been my guy. Explosive get off. Aldon Smith only had 3 sacks the year before being picked 7th overall.
