  1. Question.....Broncos put a 2nd round tender on Brandon Marshall. Would you give up a 2nd round pick for him? I would love to get BOTH Marshall and Trevathon.
  2. My guess is KO comes out and talks about not having an opponent for mania, and Sami comes out.
  3. Bears are said to be interested in Akiem Hicks. If Malik Jackson is too expensive, Hicks would be my favorite 2nd option. 6'5" long 35" arms, solid against the run and offers some pass rush ability. Length on the DL is something the line lacked last year, would love to add Hicks and Chris Jones in the 2R. Jones is 6'6" with long 34" arms.
  4. To the Northwest Indiana people on board, tonight over at Hobart Theater is the premier of the little B horror/comedy I'm in. Not exactly sure how good it is, but visually it looks really good. Show starts at 10pm which is kinda lame for a Sunday show but yeah. To my surprise, the film is actually gonna have a showing in Jersey and Vegas in the next couple months. It will also be available to rent in Vegas as well as Oasis Video stores in NWI.
  5. First game I've watched in quite some time. That was a fun 1St half. A lot of solid ball movement. Has it just been injuries that are holding the Bulls down?....Or is the Rockets D that bad?
  6. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 4, 2016 -> 02:49 PM) Franco Sports. ‏@Franco_Sports ESPN's @DickersonESPN, calls Danny Trevathan the one FA the #Bears must sign. Stated, "instant upgrade at a position of need." I agree. Yep, IMO the biggest problem the Bears had was coverage in intermediate middle of the field. Adding Trevathan helps that immensely.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 3, 2016 -> 11:54 PM) Citizens have a right to know where criminals are serving their time. It's the public's right to know and the victims right to know. Most states have databases that are easily navigated. Why does it matter what prison as long as he is indeed in prison? Do you plan on visiting? Trying to get thrown in said jail to get your punches in?
  8. IF the Bears managed to come away with Trevathon, Janoris Jenkins, and Jays Howard, I wouldn't HATE to see Elliott. I would still prefer another LB, DT, or maybe even Stanley if he's there though.
  9. I would love to see second half Melky for the whole year.
  10. White Sox Facebook posted a slow mo of Avi's home run swing and damnit, it actually looks pretty damn good. Someone more technogically inclined wanna post it?
  11. Don't offensive linemen typically last awhile in the NFL? IMO, Bushrod was never really that talented to begin with. I still remember the PFF article that called the move from Webb to Bushrod a lateral move. I remember that year I bought NFL field pass or redzone or whatever it was that allowed me to go back and watch every game and I watched a lot of Bushrod. He got help from a OG/TE/RB/6th offensive linemen on a large majority of plays.
  12. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 01:22 PM) He'd play OLB for Bears. They are reportedly interested. There are also rumors of Bears possibly cutting Lamarr Houston. Where are you hearing these rumors? I wouldn't mind getting a little more speed on the edge, but the Houston/Young combo combined for 12 sacks. That's pretty solid. Houston himself had 8, you'd think someone would be interested in making a trade if they do wanna get rid of him.
  13. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 12:04 PM) Miami uses the transition tag on DE Oliver Vernon. Miami has the right to match any offer that teams offer Vernon, so he will hit the market. Last year they lost Charles Clay to Buffalo I believe after placing the transition tag on him. If Bears like him, could offer big money to him. He fits the mold of a McPhee. Vernon is a good player, but I wouldn't spend big on an OLB if I was the Bears. Houston/Young quietly had a good year last year. Vernon seems undersized for the 5 too.
  14. Unless he was insulted by the offers, the reports of them discussing a long term deal would lead me to believe that he at least has some interest in staying.
  15. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 05:14 PM) The non-exclusive tag doesn't really do Jeffery any favors, because even if he wants out, the Bears can match, so any contract with another team could lock Jeffery into Chicago. I would expect him to negotiate exclusively with the Bears and "play" the tag season if he really wants out the badly. One thing I read was Alshon wants market value. So with this he can play the market and see what his market value really is.....Then the Bears can match.
  16. Reading it might be the nonexclusive tag that is put on Jeffery. According to Leming that would mean he can negotiate with other teams but the Bears can match any offer or take 2 1st rounders. I expect them to match, but 2 first rounders would be pretty intriguing. Edit...it is indeed the nonexclusive tag.
  17. Would love to see Saladino or Rollins be competent 2 hitters. I like Melky batting 5th or 6th a lot better than 2nd..........Assuming we see 2015 Melky that is.
  18. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 02:25 AM) It's not what he said it's the fact that he said it. In this politically correct paradigm you should know better than to talk about race if A.) You're a professional athelete and B.) you're a white male. There is no upside from his comments. I don't think they're offensive, I don't think they're important but the guy needs to sensor himself on certain topics. We, regular people, have that luxury. He doesn't. His past transgressions matter. I really don't understand why it matters. Just because he's a white athlete he can't talk about equality? Fairly certain it was all in reference to the whole Boycott the Oscar's thing. A lot of public figures have talked about it, why can't he?
  19. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Feb 28, 2016 -> 11:52 PM) So someone uses his status as "celebrity" to try and promote a message about peace and love among all human beings and that is considered racist? Am I missing something here. Was just about to make a similar post. How it could be considered racist in the least bit is beyond me.
  20. Has there been any reports on how Yadiel Hernandez has looked?
  21. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 26, 2016 -> 05:21 PM) @MRidenourABJ 4m4 minutes ago #NotreDame LB Jaylon Smith said knee has no nerve damage. Torn ACL, LCL Bart Hubbuch Twitter › BartHubbuch Jaylon Smith says he's wearing an orthosis brace to "help the nerve heal" but also claims there is no nerve damage. Uh, okayyyy ...
  22. My boy Dan Vitale had himself a solid day. 2nd best verticle, 3rd best broad, and a respectable 4.6 40 for an H-back. Those ranks are up against RBs too. He had 30 reps as well, which was the most. If they let Miller and/or Marty go, I would love to bring him in. Wouldn't mind him even if both are back.....No idea where he goes though. Patriots are said to be highly interested. I would hope he is there in the 5th.
  23. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 26, 2016 -> 02:57 PM) Former 49ers OT Anthony Davis is coming back. Only 26, and would instantly help us on the OL. Put Davis at RT and push Long back to RG. He would still be under contract to the 49ers.
  24. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 26, 2016 -> 02:58 PM) The Bears wouldnt want another Red Shirt rookie. There was no chance they were going to take him in the first. Reports I was reading before yesterday made it sound like he would have to be a red shirt rookie. He was already walking 6 months before the season. This new info does throw a wrench into that though. I do like Darron Lee though.
