  1. only allows 50 movies for free, but thanks
  2. I'm sure the school would love t-shirts like "I love my ball sack" "I love my anal sphincter" "I love my asshole"
  3. I'm I alone in after watching Taxi Driver and anticipating Dinero's altercation with whomever he was about to open the can of whoop on, you feel like something was lost in the translation? I didn't want to spoil the movie, so I kept it vague
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 06:45 AM) I just love the irony of something so subjective bringing out such judgements upon people. Note the order of the judgement. 20 year old know it all kid thinks he's bloomington, Indiana's gift to music appreciation. Which by the way 3 of my friends went to U of I @ bloomington. One as a piano performance major, another for his Masters in Public Affairs and the last for a Doctored in Archaeology. I know where you're from kid. You're still full of crap. Every bit of music is a derivative of something previously written. Nothing can be purely original. You'd have to take a child born in the wild who has no preconceived notion of what music is to find pure innovation and originality. I'm not claiming, nor did I ever claim, that the songs "prospects" by Wes Burdine and the Librarians was as innovative as The Flaming Lips or as good as song writing as Brian Wilson, however, if you cannot appreciate the elements to which said song pulls from those influences, then your head is way too far up your arse to save you.... and quite honestly, I feel really sorry for you. You're that kid that walks around saying everything is crap and then cites 2 German bands and whatever trendy world music is popular at the moment. I feel REALLY sorry for you.
  5. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) Let's just throw them all out and start over. From now on around here, liberals will simply be referred to as %$*%! moonbats and conservatives will be called *&$%@#! wingnuts and it will be the beautiful beginning of a kinder, gentler SL&P. hahaha... no problem calling you the king of all @#$#@ moonbats
  6. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 11:01 PM) Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! Conversion time... All I say is watch the first season. It's easy to get into. No 'give it a chance' or 'stick with it' or anything like that. No Sex & the City 'it'll get better' crap. Start from the beginning, you'll be hooked real fast. I'm a 24 fan myself, but The Sopranos blows that show out of the water. (Anyway, 24 went downhill fast.) I'll check it out. I mean, it's between getting the rest of the disney collection or getting the sopranos....
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) Not typically outside of politics. But why is liberal a dirty word these days? It's a little bit of a tangent, I know, but it's like the new thing... probably the same way "conservative" or "traditional" is. All of that garbage is a waste of time. I think both sides have something important to say, but politics and government has become more about "catching the otherside in the act" than fixing serious social problems.
  8. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:51 PM) Annie Hall, Hard Day's Night, and that's it. How can you have all those, and not the Sopranos? I've thought about getting them for some time now... I've never seen any episodes, so I guess if I started I'd get them all
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) I don't own more than three movies on DVD. We don't own more than 20 as a family. We're not too big on movies. I work 3 hours a week at Blockbuster for my 5 free movies a week. Combined with my pretend DVD burner, I have a mighty collection.
  10. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) Maybe I'm thinking they're seeing if it's alright for side A to hate side B, then side B can do the same because they're sickened by side A doing it, I think...., but yeah, I see where you're coming from. Edit; The more I'm thinking about ny response and how to respond, I'm confusing myself. ok, I buy your explanation. I'm not exactly sure they should be singing about the common everyday "conservative republican" however. I don't believe that "joe conservative" is actively seeking to spew hate and hurt the average liberal, do you? I suppose, I think their songs should focus on the anti-christ like Rush and O'Reilly instead.

  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) The sad thing is, Joe Scarborough is probably more attractive than Greta. not exactly what I wanted you to take away from my post, but ok. I like Joe. He's fair when he needs to be. If you like Joe, you can thank Foxnews for requiring the other news stations to pretend like they care about "the other side of the story".
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:32 PM) I take it you're not going right out to watch "American Idiot - The Movie". They do have a boatload of talent. you can't argue with either parts of my assessment. Yes, they do have talent. It's ok for side A to hate side B, but not the other way around?
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) What's wrong with Green Day? Hey man, if you like 'em. good on you. I just find their music hipocritical. They sing about hating the demographic of people who bought their CDs and put them on the map. Calling people idiots, rednecks, etc is biggoted behavior and equally unacceptable as someone referring to the liberal agenda as "f***** america". Of course they're "rock saviors" when they write songs that bash George W. Bush. Now speaking on their song writing skills, they are quite good, if not damn talented. too me, they're two seperate things.
  15. I barely watch Foxnews anymore mainly because I find Joe Scarborough much more attractive than Greta Van Sustren. During my time with Foxnews and listening to Hannity and Rush on the radio, it was just obvious that they were handed documents and agendum by the same person. That begin said, watching and listening for more than an hour became grossly repeatative. On to ESPN.... I've just felt over the course of a few months ESPN seems to have caught on to this form of broadcasting. Between Mike and Mike and Dan Patrick (Ever since Rob Dibble left the Dan Patrick Show its gone down hill) , Sportscenter and the sports talking heads (by the way steven a smith, the angry black man routine is WAY over done), I feel like I hear the same damn opinions on the same subjects no matter what time of day it is. The only exception, though he tends to do it from time to time, is Colin Cowherd. I get soooo sick of it, I just find myself turning the radio off all together. anyone else feel this way?
  16. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Wow, more homgenized indie names and lo-fi music. I don't find this to be remotely innovative or good, but then again I am getting sick of the indie genre for not doing anything new for years. wow Cerbaho-WG, how's Valpraiso, Indiana treating you? great I'm sure. it's a good thing your opinion is s***. otherwise it'd be a shame to have to point out why this one song, which you probably didn't even listen to in the first place, is better than the happy-with-a-g, alt rock green day crap that you enjoy. please, go back to pitchforkmedia.com and write your sorry excuse for a review
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) So would Indy music be stuff like Dueling Banjoes and Achy Breaky Heart? you took the short bus too I see...
  18. "Jose Canseco....will never be struck out"
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) You know, for the longest time, I thought Indie music was music from India. True story... the ride to school on the short bus must have been a magical time for you I kid
  20. New Release in May... Wes Burdine and The Librarians "The Jose Canseco EP" Click on the "music" asterix and download "Prospects" Big fan
  21. There's one thing in life that never changes... 18 year old girls You're 15...and 18 year olds are hot. You're 18...and 18 year olds are hot You're 25...and 18 year olds are hot You're 40...and....well you get it.
  22. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) Beef jerky... slurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp. no seriously qwerty, how's the smiling chick in your sig?
  23. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) so many people rave about the 1st one which was total GARBAGE. you must be talking about "million dollar baby..."
  24. I just found some information at: http://www.tomsnetworking.com/Sections-article90.php The main problem is the size of the house, but apparently that shouldn't be a problem. Me thinks I'm an idiot and need to reset the defaults on the router before the expander will work. *stupid question alert* using a cable to connect the main PC to the router shouldn't effect the router's ability to broadcast to the house, right? How about XP SP1 compatibility with XP SP2? Will that effect network connections?
  25. I spent all day setting up a wireless network in a 10,000 sq/ft house. I'm still not done due to all the hallways, multiple floors and funny angles. Anyone have experience "wi-fi-ing" an office or house? I'm using this for the main computer: Wireless Router 54GS and these in two other pcs: Wireless PCI 54GS and this to "bounce" the signal upstairs and down a hall: Wireless Expander "repeater" any tips would be appreciated
