  1. QUOTE (Reddy @ Oct 23, 2008 -> 07:35 PM) Big Fish. I lost it. I watched that with my brother in the theater. We drove separately and both cried like kids on the way home. good times.
  2. My first thought was: someone took the time to finally highlight the sarcastic parts. Then, after my laughter died down: I'm not sure if this person just implied that God is 2x more interested in the environment than love...but that's the way that poorly written paragraph was written. Besides that, it's a good idea to used recycled paper and soy based ink. Get it in ESV and I'd consider it.
  3. QUOTE (Texsox @ Oct 9, 2008 -> 10:23 AM) Yes he did. exactly. Tex makes my point better. All these new voters with stupid opinions. Vote means vote, not tell me your opinion. Again, not here, elsewhere. bmags, I have no idea if you're like this or not. I'm not trying to call anyone out here.
  4. It's a non-issue to me too. I'm just in-hate with the obam-ites who want to make this an issue. (not here, but elsewhere) Dear Obama supporters, stop making it a pain in the ass for me to vote for your candidate.
  5. QUOTE (sox4lifeinPA @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 11:43 AM) Plenty of time for it to swing either way. wait... that's what she said.
  6. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 11:40 AM) I'll post this again incase you missed it. If the election were held today: Plenty of time for it to swing either way.
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 11:27 AM) I don't see posts in here saying any of those things. Palin isn't assertive anyway - she asserts nothing. The only one of those three things I've seen brought up here is McCain's age. And MOST of us aren't saying its an issue of his ability to lead - its his ability to stay alive. And that is a real issue to consider. Not a dealbreaker IMO, but, at his age, it does amplify the importantance of his VP candidate, who is just terrible. so, the way Palin talks (albeit overdone) hasn't been made fun of....which believe it or not, millions of americans talk in funny sounding ways. And "his ability to stay alive" is a joke...anyone could die or a million reasons. He's old. With that logic, the fact that Nancy Pelosi is two major tragedies away from being President is equally scary. And just to be clear, I'm probably voting for Obama...I really don't know. The problem I have with each side: Obama - For all the change talk, he's doing the same kind of politics that we're used to. If the campaigning sidetracks his ideals, what's going to happen when he's in office? I like the change, Democrats have some great ideas, not all of them, but I believe 100% we need to do everything we can to get our infrastructure into the 21st century and devote 24 hours a day to commercializing wind, solar, and alternative energies to the masses. McCain - Tied a little too much to bad policies, not all of them, but some. The country needs a new direction.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 11:22 AM) Palin as VP would be the closest Canadians could possibly get to running this country. now that's funny.
  9. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 11:18 AM) huh? Palin is an overly assertive b**** McCain is too old Republicans are rednecks don't act like that's not going on right now. read the posts, go on facebook, etc.
  10. QUOTE (Soxy @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 11:17 AM) And I'm pissed that marriage is even regulated at all by the government. Marriage is a religious idea--civil unions are the legal idea. Let's leave marriage to the church. totally agree. but civil unions are discriminatory by nature as well. Until 2 people (any 2 people regardless of sexual orientation) can join together for the benefits of "the constitution"...it'll never be right.
  11. I love how it's ok to be sexist, bigoted, and ageist if it's not your candidate.
  12. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 10:38 AM) The right is going to be really pissed at her answer last night that she supports equal rights for homosexuals. And homosexuals are going to be pissed that no one wants them to get married.
  13. Haven't been doing this thread much, but I'm down to 284. That's about 10lbs, I think, from when I started this...but it's 23+ lbs since I got married, which is when I've been trying to lose weight. I've noticed that I've lost at least 4 inches off my waist and can easily fit into my 40" waists again. My goal is 225 over the next year and a half. My end of year goal is 275. Congrats to all you losers!
  14. I only wish it was Clinton/Biden v. McCain/Palin.... then each side would have an overly assertive female running with a geriatric white guy. That way the "Granpa McCain tell us a story" and "Go back to the kitchen" comments would be flying both ways...instead of only from the democrats toward the republicans. Quite honestly, the biggest reason I might vote for John McCain (and I have been seriously considering obama) is the fact that I don't want to vote the same way as so many assholes seem to want to vote.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) NSFW unless you're quitting today.
  16. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 02:56 PM) Once I let an old lady in front of me in a line at Walgreen's thinking I was doing the right thing and being a gentleman and all, since she only had one thing in her hand. She smiles, thanks me, and then proceeds to pull out a Crown Royal bag and pays for her purchase of several dollars in all pennies. I wanted to kick her in the shin. ^^^^ why I'm leaving banking.
  17. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 01:47 PM) True. Though, I wouldn't exactly say I'm "sold" on this being fact. We are talking here about the Enquirer, and a security guard who may or may not have even recognized Edwards. The article goes on to say that the Enquirer videotaped the mistress going into the same room that Edwards had. We'll see if this thing has wheels.
  18. Link Could you imagine if he were the democratic nominee for President? Game. Set. Match. McCain.
