The War Room With Quinn and Rose blech...as if Conservative Talk Radio needed ONE MORE PERSON to tell us the same thing over and over. edit: I should add, I'm mostly pissed because they were added to my local talk radio station and pushed back the ever crazy and ever ridiculous Michael Savage... why does that make me mad? AM Coast to Coast no longer plays from 10-1am!!!!!! bastards

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 13, 2007 -> 09:51 AM) He wasnt so bad in "Life as a House" with Kevin Kline. But like I said, that was not my mental image of Darth Vader's twisted past and younger years. He was great in that and in "Broken Glass"....but he played the same character: a self-absorbed, emotionally deficient boy hiding from his true problems. it's also known as the "Ryan Phillipe"...who ironically starred in "Breach" which was directed by the same guy as "Broken Glass" He must have thing for emotionless, boring actors.

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Oct 12, 2007 -> 08:38 PM) Indiana really is the armpit of the Midwest. that's what most people think about the states around them. I hate NJ for their a-hole drivers, NY for their a-hole a-holes, DE just because , OH because they won't annex Western PA, West Virgina because they're hicks and Maryland because it's a ghetto. I hate PA too...for obvious reasons: pennsylvanians. -
I'd vote for Al Gore.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 12, 2007 -> 04:16 PM) I agree, this movie doesnt have to be a smart movie, its all about the action. I dont expect a intense and lengthy dialogue from either Jackson or Christiansen Christiansen's wheelhouse is apathetic and unemotional...this movie looks like a hit for him.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 10, 2007 -> 10:56 AM) Really? Most kids I grew up with did something like that in HS and in college. I know I did. I worked a variety of low-paying, crappy jobs. Many college students I went to school with worked the corn and soybean fields too during the summers, detassling and woking. I am not saying there won't be a negative impact if all of a sudden many of the illegal immigrants leave, because there would be. But there are positive results as well. You need to take both into account. And further, a policy undertaken needs to keep both in mind. They never have crappy jobs on the OC...and everyone's either a doctor, a lawyer, or a politician on tv. jason must be right. -

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 10, 2007 -> 10:48 AM) The industry that I am most concerned about is agriculture. High School kids can't follow the crops for 9 months picking and processing. It is also unlikely that enough local workers can be found for 3-4 weeks at a stretch. That is where a guest worker program is critical. I also believe it is critical to our national security. I believe eating is a good thing. I think they should just take the robots from the car making plants that are taking american jobs away, feed it some burritos, and stick them out in a field. problem solved. -

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 07:22 PM) If it was 5 bucks, I don't think the guy should have his panties in a knot. my thoughts exactly. whatever... in other news: I got this email from my brother last night: I arrived home late tonight/early this morning at 1:15AM from a late night network change just in time to chase off two coyotes in the driveway....I know totally cool to see them 'cause they look neat right?...No...totally s***ty because I chased them away before they could finish eating the rear half of Milo. So please bow your heads in a moment of silence to remember that sad little misunderstood cat. Half of him is in a better place....half is in a tightly closed trash bag outside the house. Sorry for the gallows humor...I'm finishing my third beer and heading to bed. Texas is CRAZY.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 05:08 PM) I have had hundreds of positive transactions on ebay, and one bad one. It's up to you but I would offer a refund, less shipping and fees. you can't retract negative feedback..so the bastard got his own medicine AND I'm not considering refunding anything. I've had a bunch of great experiences too, everyonce and a while you get a hyperactive crazy person that is unrealistic. seriously...I was selling minidisc player from like 1997. he won it for 5 bucks. Don't you think there might be one or two issues that you should look into? especially when I said..."I have no idea if this works or not"
-
Ebay is so lame... I sold a bunch of junk, literally. And now I have someone giving me negative feedback because I clearly stated that I had no idea if the item worked. He complained there weren't batteries, which I never said there were nor did he ask. People expect EVERYTHING on ebay to be in amazing shape and to be a steal. An auction/digital yardsale is never a guarantee, unless you ask questions and then you avoid the bad deals anyway. am I a bad person for selling things that I didn't want and didn't know if it worked? one man's junk is another man's treasure, right? what a jagoff.

QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 03:25 PM) Give me one example of a barrier that a minority has to overcome that a white person wouldn't have to deal with. Just one. And again, having to work harder than the average joe is not a barrier. having a huge weiner....

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 9, 2007 -> 01:16 PM) We can cite facts all we want but perception is reality for minorities in America. Are there any white middle class males that would switch and be Black or Latino? I don't think so. It still isn't a level playing field, and won't be in my lifetime. We have however, made giant strides in my lifetime. While signs proclaiming WHITES ONLY and NO n*****S seem like ancient artifacts, there are many people alive who remember them vividly. And they would make a bigger impact on the people excluded than included. So while taking down the signs are a big step, they do not erase people's memories and attitudes. damn, son...it'd sure help my rap career.
