QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 06:53 PM) That symbolizes the GOP plans to f*ck everybody over in 2008, silly. it's like a political rawshack test

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 5, 2007 -> 01:08 PM) It was what military leaders thought was the best option to get the hostages out alive. Saving the lives of the hostages was the #1 goal. Not proving how big his balls were. Stealth was the plan. He gave the order to abort the mission when the weather turned bad, against the forecast. With the problems they were having, aborting sure seemed like a good idea. Remember this was 25 years ago and a lot of technology you may take for granted wasn't invented yet. I remember studying this in current events and now you in a history class. Wait until your kids talk about Mission Accomplished in 30 years. I am certain you will not recognize the events either. Tex, what was it like being the only survivor of the Alamo? Do you and FlasoxxJim reminisce about the "good ol' days.....The Andrew Jackson presidency? -

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 5, 2007 -> 11:33 AM) This particular one is stupid, but have you seen what kids wear today? We never had dress codes, but I see why they have them now. Kids today have no respect, in general. In that vein, I see why they restrict this stuff. that and he should be spending more of his time exercising his body and not his free speech.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 07:19 PM) Rented "The Lookout" with that kid from 3rd rock from the sun. Better than I thought it was going to be, plot was weak but he was somewhat convincing as a mentally challenged kid. have you seen "Brick"? highly reccomended.

QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 06:33 PM) Agree with the fugliness point, but really, wtf is a 16 year old doing making a political statement? Man at 16 I was interested in one thing and one thing only: boobies. (not being sexist, just being honest ) that's the opposite of sexiest. Boobies are amazing.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 06:07 PM) Mind you, that is 100% real. Who doesn't love an elephant with a giant red penis?

link I would boot the kid just for looking so fugly... Pete "Rosey" Palmer... my feelings on this case have nothing to do with John Edwards' name being attached. if the school policy is no political shirts, then no political shirts. Free speech is for Adults who can handle the responsibility until it's taken away by the groups like the ACLU

2007 Phillies = 2000 White Sox They're gettin' killed.

I would write a book and finish an album if I weren't working...plus probably run a non-profit or two.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 03:20 PM) Well, if you are talking about content mgmt, that is a company I havent heard of and Ive been in that line of biz for 5 years. Basically your first job is going to blow, wherever it is, so dont hold out for the perfect position. Just take a place with good training, benefits and decent people your age to work with. I started out of college at the typical new graduate sales type company, worked there for 365 days and moved on to a job where i could learn, think out of the box and move up quickly. Now at my age after working for around 5 years my pay scale is up to around 100k, my hours are somewhat flexible, but I travel a ton. Eventually I would like to own my own biz, more sooner than later. I found out early that I cannot work in an office all day, it drives me insane. and make sure they pay you in GIANT stacks of meat between two pieces of bread....

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 01:44 PM) He should be starting on his golf game, perhaps that wide stance will help him . . . The learning curve might be tought though: It's impolite to wash your partners balls... The only shaft you should have a tight grip on is your own... Knowing when to choose irons over wood is the key to a good golf game -
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 08:36 PM) Eh, I still think Mrs. Kucinich is better looking. Like high school...I chose to focus on Cs, rather than As You must have had a 4.0

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 01:55 PM) It's way better than the alternative. I thought not working would be a good thing... it's not. Boredom induces insanity. that must be a woman thing.... I could fill a thousand days of nothing with something, but that's just me.

QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 11:03 AM) well here goes nothing. Anyone eve heard of/dealt with Impact Networking? They basically go around and try and make companies paperless, reorganizing their documents and digitalizing them and whatnot. They were the one interview I really liked and could see myself working for. yeah...but they lost my resume in one of their paperless, digitized piles of documents.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 02:08 AM) In your last scenario, how many hours per week am I working at this job that I can walk to and that pays me 75K ? it's a bad poll, I was somewhat distracted when I made it. The point is what kind of concessions are you willing to make in order to be happy? or...what do you value: money, time with family, or proximity to work from home? Everything has a cost...more money often comes with more hours...less time with family...and more time away from home. just curious what people thought.

My ideal situation: Blog, Teach online/1-2 classes a week, write books, develop some of my business ideas, finish my album and play 50 gigs a year, be a Dad/husband, consult for leadership development/employee motivation, and run a few non-profits including a church ministry. so, I wouldn't be against working 50 hours a week...it's just work 50 hours a week in a job that I would take or leave.
