  1. I truly hate watching scrubs on TV. There's nothing like commercial free dvds.
  2. Sounds like a pretty poorly run business. Again, why hasn't the HR person done anything? By definition that's what HR should be for.
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 06:07 PM) Its not really that far off with IT folks, which was the funny part. We had a guy get in trouble with HR when he created a graphic screensaver with Buffy the Vampire slayer, and he superimposed himself performing a few implied sexual acts with sound might I ad. Outside of the fact that it was pretty good production quality, the lady with the WWJD bracelet next to them called HR to complain. lol... prude
  4. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 05:35 PM) Hey now I forgot the green. I thought it was implied
  5. P.S. The HR person BLEW it. That's who I have a problem with.
  6. QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 02:03 PM) Steff, you have this one nailed. especially the part about the pictures... seriously though, unless she's dressing like Sailor Moon or some other anime character, I'm sure the IT guys leave her alone.
  7. ghey. I get it, but I don't like it.
  8. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 01:19 PM) PA, because there are real Church and State issues that Phelps brought up, and you would be the most likely, (of a group of not likely) to agree with that point of view, I responded seriously. Although, IIRC you have not agreed with the hate he spews. People who thinks he has the right to spew do not necessarily agree with what is being said, just his right to say it. I most certainly disagree with Westboro as I most certainly disagree with many churches, but that's neither here nor there. I think if people practiced in application exactly what Jesus taught, there'd be no reason to have a separation: people would give of their time, gifts, and money freely and we wouldn't have (to the degree we do) some of the issues we suffer from. Unfortunately, there are people like Westboro who pollute the ways of Christ and therefore, I believe in a necessary boundary between church and state because of that. That being said, I'm just surprised no one has rented huge loud speakers playing an assortment of "no doubt "and "green day" and parked them out front of their church every time they meet to annoy the hell out of them (I'd last about 30 minutes). just a thought.
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 01:25 PM) Font color. I thought the " " made that clear.
  10. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 12:59 PM) I don't see how this case has any connection there whatsoever. The suit was about the behavior of people, so they are the real targets anyway. And are you suggesting that all organizations that claim to be a "church" should have blanket immunity from civil litigation? Because that would take the separation of church and state to a level beyond anything I've seen. joke Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[johk] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation noun, verb, joked, jok·ing. –noun 1. something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act: He tells very funny jokes. She played a joke on him. 2. something that is amusing or ridiculous, esp. because of being ludicrously inadequate or a sham; a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously; farce: Their pretense of generosity is a joke. An officer with no ability to command is a joke. 3. a matter that need not be taken very seriously; trifling matter: The loss was no joke. 4. something that does not present the expected challenge; something very easy: The test was a joke for the whole class.
  11. unfortunately, this sets back the separation of church and state argument a few years
  12. if lsd laced bit-o-honey isn't one of the options, I'm out.
  13. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 31, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) Plus decreasing home values will allow some new home buyers into the market. ding ding ding!
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 31, 2007 -> 02:15 PM) I'll leave it to you guys to tell me what this one means. It means our deposit rates are going to drop...again... the blue hairs are going to go CRAZY when they can't even get 4.5% on a CD.
  15. I made 26k in 3 days on my 1 mill investment..... at smartstocks.com
  16. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 31, 2007 -> 10:46 AM) Wait a second... there is a reality show, which chronicles people playing a video game? Wow. That has to take an award for the stupidest TV show idea of all time. Bravo. this has been going on for a while...MTV had a show called "Real life" I think. It chronicled a few "top" players and their quest to compete at different competition.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 31, 2007 -> 01:04 AM) From www.whysoserious.com: It's a treasure hunt. There's like 20 more for other major cities in the U.S. looks like they want people to go around the US taking photos of things.... there was a place to put your name, city and then upload a picture.
  18. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 30, 2007 -> 06:06 PM) http://www.wikihow.com/Befriend-a-Professor Under the "warnings" section: gotta love the unintentional wiki humor.... was there ever a positive stigma with being a "teacher's pet?"
  19. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 30, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) No harm, no foul? you forgot the magic word: bro
  20. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 30, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) Since male and female, gay and straight, have all been infected, I think it is not specific. big picture, yes. to the point of this article, it seems like it was one very specific person.
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 30, 2007 -> 04:15 PM) Ratings are slipping, you need a big show to get back on track. This will be marked where his campaign continued being irrelevant. Thanks for playing the game, it was fun. Enjoy a vacation with your hot wife. fixed that for you.
  22. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 30, 2007 -> 02:34 PM) Doing stupid things "in the moment" has been going on for millenniums. It isn't specific to males or females, gay or straight, Roman or Greek. actually, in this case, it is...
  23. wow. this thread has taken a turn for the worse. I was just talking about spazbot.
  24. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 30, 2007 -> 03:22 AM) Watched 'Gone Baby Gone' last night. Overall, it's a good film, but the moral dilemma that the main character faces has really stayed with me. I'm a very black and white type of person and I can always definitively say what I would do if I was facing certain situations, but on this one, I'm unsure. As a side note, is it my imagination or is Boston EVERYWHERE nowadays? Aside from the success of the sports teams, more films are based in Boston, every comedian and actor seems to be from Boston. This whole Boston pride thing is pretty interesting when you consider that every film depicts it as a white trash, bigotted s*** hole run by crooked cops. actually, I think that sums up pretty much 50% of the United States.
  25. an internet test that doesn't take in account for "porn" is not a real internet test.
