  1. If you were lucky enuf to get into the park as the Sox finished BP-it was fun seeing Leifer launch them
  2. QUOTE(iamshack @ Jan 11, 2008 -> 01:16 PM) I read the other day he's throwing like 85.... He eats faster than that
  3. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jan 4, 2008 -> 01:25 PM) is that ming the merciless in your sig? Yes, you have defied the Imperial Ming
  4. I dont hear Williams-where is the Interview? Off goes 670
  5. We can do no right-honestly-per any writer in this town.I'd rather have Swisher than Rowand and Fukodome. I've ripped Williams all Winter, but am pleased with this move. We are MORE competitive. Enough to win? Doubtful, but there's still help out there and Crede to trade. Sure we had to pay, but it didnt hurt the team RIGHT NOW-just helped it.
  6. I love major league talent If you cant develop it, trade for it. We are much better now than when we got up today.
  7. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 07:52 PM) Then stick with our minnows and see if one of them develops a genetic mutation that turns them into a bigger fish than we expected. Instead of giving away 2/3 of our minnows for 1-2 other minnows that someone else has because everyone out there says the minnows in the next lagoon are prettier. At this point you are right.
  8. QUOTE(iamshack @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 11:45 AM) What frightens me is the thought of getting Jay Payton. When the big fish get away, you are left with minnows.
  9. What we dont know is whether these names were discussed when they fleeced us for Garland. I highly doubt it.
  10. QUOTE(iamshack @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 08:59 AM) I think he is treating now, and this past season as basically one in the same, although he admits the latest moves have improved things a bit. Yeah-getting rid of a 200 inning pitcher for a shortstop we have for one year is the high point of his idea of improving. Williams has got to go
  11. He dismantles more than he builds. Look at the team, and organization. Its well below par
  12. This team has plenty of $-dont listen to any of what runs out of Williams mouth
  13. We have no major league lead off man, second baseman, left or center fielder. Other than that, we are ready
  14. Wouldnt it be fun if he beat the Flubs in next years playoffs to eliminate them?
  15. I ran into him at a UIC hockey game and he was very cordial to me
  16. Still cant believe the way they released him. Not like we were stockpiled with catchers. Again, consistant with mannerisms of the Reinsdorf regime, as recent actions with the basketball team would indicate
  17. QUOTE(shipps @ Dec 23, 2007 -> 09:29 AM) You can say all you want about Schueler but Iam still glad KW is here and not him. I didnt like schu much after Larry Himes but, I'd give anything to have him now over Williams. This organization is not even an organization anymore, its in disarray
  18. We finally gained ground on a team in our division
  19. They claim to be not cheap-and if we believe Hunter and Fukodome they were willing to pay heavily. Cant blame the organization for that, as much as I think Williams is a below avg GM. Yet the free agents chose not to come here. Is there an image problem playing here? Do players not want to play for guillen? Is that why we have so many Latin players? Somethings up.
  20. Going on 670 WAS the biggest mistake they have made in recent history. As soon as they got them, the low blows and ridicule they always got, resumed. 670 is a classless operation, with clowns on the air
  21. A set up guy is assuming you will be winning late in games. Those funds would have been better spent on improving performance before the 8th inning
  22. If he worked out for as many teams as suggested, and signed for so little, to expect an impact at the major league level is not realistic.
  23. He has not "manned up" as he says he has This guy is sickening
