  1. If they leave California, it'll be fine with me
  2. Actually the figure is out there-you know what it would cost-kinda takes dealings with Borass for $ out of the picture. And you wonder how much Comcast would encourage the Sox in ways to make it happen, with all the agent's references to Sports networks. As he always does, Borass pulls everyone into it
  3. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Oct 18, 2007 -> 06:34 AM) By the looks of it the Hawks still need another offense weapon to really be able to compete. Hello. Peter Forsberg there?
  4. And regarding this topic, I was really hoping for the DeBartalo thing to happen-we were just coming off and I was sick of the rent a player years and really wanted someone with $ to help us compete. It worked out well with the JR & EH group comin in, getting Fisk & Luzinski and changing our fortunes right away.
  5. I was banned "for one week" by someone playing God and never went back. Still cant figure out why-but it was for the best-just way too many "chiefs" there with assumed authority.
  6. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Oct 14, 2007 -> 07:48 PM) I dont know about that. Griese has put up most of his numbers late in games when were down against soft defenses. He also is throwing something like 50 passes a game. He has like 9 turnovers in 3 games and cant convert a third down to save his life. Heres a little tidbit too. Brian Griese now has more NFC north losses in three games as a starter than Grossman does in his whole career. Thats only if you count the half he played against Green Bay on New Years eve last year too. You are very observant and also very correct
  7. In previous years the Bears has insurance for the annual Mike Brown injury with Todd Johnson. They just let him go. When Todd played there was not the dropoff you see now without Brown
  8. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Oct 14, 2007 -> 03:09 PM) Brian Grise is much better than Rex Grossman. That's not necessarily in response to this last play. Yeah so much better-he had put up 10 points and turned it over 3 times until he got a prevent D touchdown. A guy fell down on Berrian'a TD,
  9. Sounds good-a career guy that nothing ever came easy too-and interesting how this comes back to a Royals baseball Academy remark I made in the Buddy Bell post
  10. You're right Bell didnt-I was more referring to young players in that organization that do develop and move on and do well. Its "the Royals way" and thats what I hope he brings here. In my opinion only the Twins do it better.
  11. Someone said it earlier, but the key here is that he is from a DIFFERENT organization, one that actually at one time had a Baseball academy that produced some fine young players like Frank White and others. While those times passed, they still produced a Johnny Damon, a Carlos Beltran and others. Its a terrific move by the Sox
  12. I like this proposal-mainly because the term PROSPECTS is absent
  13. Reminds me of the supersticious things I was doing throughout our 2005 run. And I'd do them all over again
  14. Thats why I hope we improve at SS and CF because I really like Danny
  15. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 4, 2007 -> 03:16 AM) I know the truth, and that is that he obviously must be white. Otherwise Ozzie would have had to have played him more. LOL !!!!!!
  16. Here's what we do-we tie Reinsdorf to a chair and make him watch that Double Beating in the day night DH by Minn. over & over til he gives Hunter what he is asking for and sticks it to the Twinks
  17. With that agent this is the First guy to take off our list of possibilities
  18. QUOTE(StatManDu @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 07:27 AM) The last time the White Sox were shutout in voting for the American League's MVP Award was 2001. Since 1990, the Sox have been blanked in MVP voting in only two years (1999, 2001). This year? Unless Bobby Jenks picks up a stray point here or there, the Sox will be (and probably deserve to be) shutout. A testament to underachieving. We have some very visible players who might get votes other years that simply did not perform. I still blame the manager when an entire team underachieves, from pitchers to every day players.
  19. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 12:13 PM) Enough to put him in the leadoff spot for next season? I just don't think Owens is ready or that, and question if he ever will. I have said it before, and probably will say it again, but Owens can be a very nice piece to a playoff contending team. At this point, he just can't be relied on for more than 200-300 AB's in a season. Having Owens as a 4th OF can be an asset. Having Owens as your leadoff hitter(giving him the most AB's on the team) is going to hurt your offense. I agree-if we start with him at lead off & in CF-it can be termed a Rebuilding Year. This team's "Core" is too old for that

  22. Even the Farmers Almanac is right once in a while-but this is sure strange not only to predict we'd stink-but get the record too
  23. This wasnt even the Summer of George-adieu
  24. QUOTE(bigruss22 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 10:38 AM) What do you guys think of this? source: whitesox.com could it mean bonds is brought in? Sounds like we've heard that before
