  1. I hope the GM reads this and doesnt make a bigger acquisition than necessary.
  2. Gooch has trouble w/lefties, so he plays Cintron last night. Guillen is in a slump
  3. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) Wow, Pablo sucks right now. We need a RH 4th outfielder........BAD Very Bad-has to be the biggest need
  4. He had a 5 run inning , so he didnt pitch well The manager must handle Vasquez as he handled Garland-a 5 inning leash, then out.
  5. Crede & Konerko are good second half guys-AJ is steady, Dye having career year-only Thome a lock NOT to end up .300 The strange thing is NONE of these guys get any infield hits
  6. LIttle if any improvement, Singleton acts like he doesnt want to be part of a discussion sometimes, acts like he's insulted when Farmer asks him things just to make him contribute. Farmer has been as expected-Singleton is the worst I have ever heard-and I am pretty old
  7. And what a switch from the past where hardly anyone lamented leaving the Sox-now no one wants to go
  8. Lots of pitches up As noted earlier-these look like tired arms
  9. Personally I'd like to have Jones reather than BA for the 13 games we have left w/Detroit
  10. Please note Anderson IS THE REASON that Jones is being discussed at all. In my opinion he still has no idea where its going when he does make contact-and calling recent performances an improvement is really a reach.
  11. A run or 2 looks good here-they shot their wad
  12. We have got good milage out of Widger, but he has become Widger again, the guy that was out of the Major Leagues Widger
  13. And that bottom of the order is brutal-
  14. Sure glad we got Politte in there quickly, we really missed him.
  15. Without Nancy, the 7th Inning Stretch is like being at a bad wedding
  16. Those around in the mid to late 80's might recall the rise of Mike Ditka with the fans & press to and beyond the World Championship in Jan 1986. For a time, outrageous things he said were accepted, as he was the king in this town, but it eventually started wearing thin on the players, and eventually the press. He never backed off, and the team began to fail and eventually he lost his job as the press started criticizing his methods. I hope none of this happens to Ozzie.
