  1. QUOTE(BearSox @ Jul 6, 2007 -> 02:04 AM) Might as well post the new gamethread now before I forget. IIRC, Baker's last outing was a gem where he only gave up 1 run on 3 hits in 8 innings against a very tough Detroit offense. We could have our hands full tomorrow. Plus, we aren't facing the Devil Rays, Royals, or Orioles anymore. It is 4 games against an above .500 "pirannah" Twins team. Kill the PIRANHAS!!!
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 5, 2007 -> 11:32 PM) lol if anybody else posted this thread i'd be getting support, but I am used to it. How is it second guessing? He had thrown 100 pitches in only 6 innings, we haven't been letting him go past 100 pitches, he's a rookie, we're going into the all star break, we are up by 8 runs.....there was no need to leave him in there. He had just give up 2 narrowly missed home runs to end the 6th, the writing was on the wall. This is not 2nd guessing, if you disagree fine but don't be inaccurate. Storm in a glass of water...
  3. QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 10:11 PM) Bases loaded with no outs for JD... get that trade value up! I wish Terrero was there...at least he has a high SLug %
  4. What Dye is doing there? Give Terrero some at bats....
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 10:40 PM) I about shat myself on Sunday when Terrero got behind a fly ball, ran through the ball on the catch and got off a brilliant throw from right centerfield hitting the cutoff man on a fly. I don't remember the last time i saw such beautiful fundamentals. Agst the Phillies he showed a cannon almost getting Bourne in 3B...
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 03:12 PM) There's a reason Terrero is known as a guy with a million dollar skill set and a 10 cent brain. Even Mark Grace was going off on that two weeks ago. Oh ok, because he tried to stretch a single into a double he is now a headcase??? Let the guy play...at least he is hustling..
  7. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 08:13 AM) http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/story/10221427 An interesting insight into the Rangers' problems (besides pitching), and how they're not willing to adapt to Washington's "small ball" approach after being successful with the "3 run homer and a cloud of dust" approach of the White Sox offense. No mention of Rudy Jaramillo in all this. I actually think Daniels will be the first to be fired, he's obviously in over his head. Are there White Sox hitters (like Texeira) that are refusing to change their approach in defiance of KW and Ozzie? I don't think so, but maybe the Sox organization isn't being tough enough on the younger hitters...or is simply teaching them the wrong philsophy? The only players they have been "tough" with are McCarthy, Anderson and Tracey (I guess). Of course, there's lots of theories about Anderson, that 1) he isn't serious enough/parties too much, 2) has a bad attitude, 3) refuses to adopt "small ball" fundamentals even though he's not a power hitter, etc. I haven't seen Ozzie be anything but supportive of Sweeney, Owens and Fields, despite their struggles. Each of those three guys has had lots of playing time, Ozzie's not sitting them on the bench. Even Terrero is getting to start almost every game. Of all these AAA hitters the only one hitting is Terrero...that's why he is playing every single game.
  8. Vazquez is tipping his pitches...I am watching the game through ESPN. Has Hawk or DJ said anything about this? If you turn on ESPN, Rick Sutcliff is commenting on this all night long...
  9. trade dye for a pack of toilet tissue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. this is disgusting....why Terrero is not hitting in front of Uribe?
  11. that wasn't a strike...and f***ing Dye can't do nothing to a fastball.... trade f***ing DYE~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Iguchi, PK, Thome, Terrero..all of them are hitting well...maybe if we can trade Dye for relief pitcher and young leadoff hitter, we might have something to look forward. Nice Gonzalez...a beautiful bunt in the previous at bat and now a double over CLee.
  13. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 04:30 PM) where did terreros HR go, i was peeing Deep into the LF stands...he hit it with authority.
  14. Nice Terreo, Uribe, and PK...Dye with bad luck...
  15. Keep Terrero in the ML roster...let BA in AAA.
  16. Ha...Fiels is a joke...again struck out in a fastball in the middle of the plate...
  17. Ausmus is a clown..he is taking MB out of his rythm..
  18. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 03:34 PM) I agree. He is showing some power and speed. He hit a Hr in early May agst a LH that was impressive.
  19. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 03:32 PM) Well, at least Fields didn't do any worse than Dye. He K'd...is this not worse than GO? He K'd agst a LH pitcher in a 90 mph...where is the bat speed? Nice work terrero...
