  1. I remember before the season started Mike North (where is he now ) said the Sox would be lucky to win 76 games and that the Tigers would win 120 games. Well even if the Tigers won their last 74 games, they only end up with 118 wins So called Experts are just that " So-Called Experts"
  2. The Knights win 7-3. Broadway goes 6 innings, gives up 3ER with 5Ks and gets a No-decision. Paulie 2-4 batting .545 Bourgeois 1-4 with a solo HR batting .301
  3. Jason Bourgeois has gotten a hit in 20 out of the last 21 games
  4. The Brewers have a real good chance to see CC and Ben Sheets walk at the end of the season, but they will get a bunch of picks and maybe that's what they're looking for.
  5. The Knights are in the 7th inning and in a rain delay. Knights are winning 9-1. Paulie 1-2 with a double and a walk.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 03:34 PM) At least this year every guy from a bad team who made it deserved it (McClouth, Guzman, Volquez, Ichiro??, Halladay, Sherrill, etc). Don't forget Soria for KC. I can't wait until we trade for him. He's one KC pitcher I wouldn't mind seeing in Sox uniform. You think they take MacDougal and Sisco back for him
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 03:13 PM) well, I mean the cubs have the best record in baseball and aramis has had numerous big hits. He's an all star. Fukudome...eh. Tampa has the best record at 55-32 and look how many All-Stars they have
  8. QUOTE (Maxwell @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 03:55 PM) Who deserves it over Aramis though? I can't think of anyone off hand, but I haven't done any research. Atkins, Colo 106 hits 12 HRs 50 RBI .311 Avg Ramierez 80 hits 13 HRs 57 RBI .280 Avg
  9. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 03:50 PM) Linebrink is a SU man, and it's silly to think of him as anything more than that. Linebrink hasn't been able to pitch the 9th inning his whole career. He just lacks the mindset for someone to close out a game. Kind of reminds me of when the scrubs tried using Hawkins as a closer.
  10. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 03:54 PM) Hell of a homestand 8-2
  11. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 02:18 PM) to me, waiting for PK to pick it up is too much of a risk in a race this close. Wise has .357 OBP going into today, we need to keep riding that out. We could leave Paulie down with the Knights, he's hitting down there
  12. QUOTE (chisoxdavid @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 02:14 PM) I was thinking the same thing. Maybe he can give the other outfielders days off. I'd like to see Swish stay at 1st and BA and Wise platoon in CF and Paulie DH for awhile. Dosen't Thome have a bad back or something where he could go on the DL for a couple of weeks so he could be rested for the stretch run
  13. Wow, What is going to happen to Wise when Paulie comes back????????
  14. Yes.......................... Our All-Star comes through
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 03:01 PM) Twins in great position to take the lead against Cliff Lee. I don't know about you, but I'd like Lee to win his 12th game today
  16. All the talk about which Sox players should of been picked for the All-Star game, no one's talking about our All-Stars on our "JV" team. Jason Childers Brad Eldred Chris Getz What!!!!!!!!! No Wasserman
  17. JD is up against Giambi, Jose Guillen, Longoria, and Roberts. It was sure hard not voting for Giambi I also voted for Aaron Rowand over Carlos Lee
  18. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 02:12 PM) Why don't they just split the team between the Yankees and Red Sox and be done with it? There's only 3 Yankees, but 7 Red Sox players. Man, 7 Cub players and 7 Red Sox players, I think I'm going to Puke
  19. Wise should be an All-Star too Oh no, Cuban Missle was shot down
  20. Look at that speed by Joe. No wonder he's an All-Star
  21. QUOTE (YASNY @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 12:58 PM) Varitek over AJ is the crime. Don't see how Joe compares to an outfielder and a catcher. It's a crime that he makes it while JD and AJ don't. But yes, the true crime is Varitek. If I heard right he was voted in by the players
  22. QUOTE (feistyboy @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 12:52 PM) Does everyone around the league hate the White Sox or something. No, they just hate AJ
  23. QUOTE (feistyboy @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 12:49 PM) I love Joe but there is no way in hell he should make it while Danks and Floyd do not. A true crime. Joe over JD and AJ a true crime.
