QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 13, 2009 -> 10:42 AM) Ducks-Wings goes seven. I'd like to see the Ducks win tomorrow so we could have Home Ice, but I think we could score more easily off of Osgood than Hiller.

Sox vs. Tribe 5/13 @ 11:05
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 13, 2009 -> 11:35 AM) Jordan has now slumped to .429 as we speak. I'm with Harrelson, Birmingham is a lot more interesting than the major league club. At least the major league club is more interesting than the Knights

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 6, 2009 -> 01:29 PM) If they won, at all, they would survive. I think the obvious choice would be to send them back to Winnipeg... or to Quebec. They moved during the exodus of Canadian teams when the Canadian economy was so outrageously worse than the US's. Putting another 1 or 2 teams in Canada seems like a no-brainer now. I agree, but I'd love to see them move to Indianapolis

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Apr 20, 2009 -> 09:05 PM) Hawks are going to be in trouble at this rate... Flames are pounding the Hawks with some big physical play. I know the Hawks don't want to take a dumb retaliation penalty, but they can't keep turning the other cheek.

Kane has been getting pretty roughed up in the 1st 2 games. Maybe a game off will do him some good. He just doesn't seem Physical enough for the Playoffs. Also I think it's time for someone to kick Rene Borque's Azz

For those who were at the game....
QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 06:12 PM) What were your favorite crowd moments last nights? My top 5 were: 5. The "Paulie" chant after Thome's homer 4. The play at the plate 3. Thome's homer 2. Span grounding out in the 9th inning for the 2nd out 1. The double play in the 8th inning The reaction after the double play was awesome. The whole park was like "oh s***, Jenks has a chance to close this out". All of the above for me too. I'd add BA's catch to end the game too. We only stuck around 15 minutes after the game was over (kids had school and I live 70 miles away) and I had no problem getting out of the parking lot.

Sec 512 row 8 At least I'm in- Alexei Ramirez
I'd take him too Too bad you and I don't have a vote- Angels vs White Sox - 7:11PM Start
We need to take this division NOW!!! Let's start with tonight- ChiSox @ Tribe 6:05 PM CDT
I was hoping we wouldn't see Lee. Go SOX- Call Ups
Isn't Ozuna DFA? I wouldn't want Logan called up he still hasn't figured it out yet. As for a catcher it would be Cole Armstrong.- 8/29 Games
QUOTE (scenario @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 06:59 PM) One sort of interesting development... Mike MacDougal seems to have gotten his **** back together lately. Seriously.... I'm not pulling your leg. In his last 10 outings covering 15 2/3 innings, he's only given up 4 runs (2.30 ERA). In addition, he's struck out 25 while only walking 9. So... his WHIP is 1.21 during this stretch; his K/9 is 14.36. What a huge bonus it would be if he could come up September 1 and make a contribution to the pen. He's been starting too. Even though he's pitched no more than 3 innings in a start. Ehren Wassermann got the win tonight, his ERA is 1.15 now. Oh yeah, Boone Logan 2 innings 4 runs.- Nine year-old throws 40 mph!
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 11:43 AM) If we are all saying its no big deal, then why is this kid so dominant? Maybe he's pitching to 8 and 9 year olds who just came up from a coaches pitch league. In most coaches pitch leagues the coach will just loab the ball over the plate almost like slow pitch softball. Maybe the kids in his league just suck When I throw batting practice to my 9-10 year olds, I know I'm throwing over 40 mph.- Nine year-old throws 40 mph!
QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 07:17 AM) Furthermore 40 mph isn't even that fast for Little League, at all, so I don't even get what the big deal is. The last 2 years I've coached in a 9-10 year old league. I had 3 kids this year one nine and two 10 that threw over 40 mph. And they are hittable. The kids in that age group that throw 50 mph are tougher to hit, but still they are hittable. The next age group 11-12 year olds, the Majors, throw over 60 mph. When I coached in a 7-8 year old league we didn't let the kids pitch, they faced a pitching machine that was set at 37 mph, so I really don't see the big deal with this kid. - Tickets for Tomorrow's game vs MIN
