I hate games on WCIU

It would sure be nice for Clayton to pitch like his last outing. It would be nicer if we didn't have to see the bullpen tonight. Go Sox

30th Anniversary of Disco Demolition Night
Jim Spencer replied to whtsoxfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I was 13 at the time and watched it on Channel 44. My family had tickets for the next days game and I was worried that they would cancel that game too. When we were waiting to get into the park Harry Carey walked by us and commented how he didn't smell any "funny Smoke" today. There were pieces of records everywhere outside the park. I wish I would of picked some up and saved them. The field was still pretty trashed. We sat in the right field upper deck and there were broken seats all around us. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 03:14 AM) Some of my favorites, off the top of my head: Danny Wright (actually Jason Bere Lite before the injuries, won 14 games with a bloated ERA) Josh Stewart Mike Porzio Felix Diaz Jon Adkins Nick Masset Gary Glover (blast from past) Rocky Biddle (surprised he became closer for the Expos and was sort of decent one year) Sean Tracey Arnie Munoz Matt Ginter Jon Rauch Scott Eyre (not sure if he ever started or not for us...maybe he came out of the pen?) One year I went to 3 Sox games. Danny Wright pitched 2 of them and Josh Stewart pitched the other. All 3 were blow-out loses. I also seen Adkins, Munoz and Tracey pitch for the Knights and all 3 were loses

Too bad the Tigers or the Twins didn't want him

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 11:12 PM) I didn't grade out any guys who were no longer in the organization. I guess you could say McDougal flunked out of the organization

If it wasn't for all the mental errors on defense I'd move Alexi up to a C+ or B-. You left off Mike McDougal in the F group.

What's the best seats you've ever had at the Cell?
Jim Spencer replied to Marky Mark's topic in Pale Hose Talk
5 rows behind the visitor's dugout. At the old park I sat in the front row behind home plate once. -
How many White Sox games have you been to?

QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Jul 2, 2009 -> 12:13 PM) I've never been to a Sox minor league game, but I think it'd be a lot of fun. Too bad they don't have any near Chicago. The Knights will be in Indianapolis and Louisville the 1st week of August. I voted for the Knights but it did not show up in the poll. I've seen the Knights in Toledo, Columbus, Louisville and Indianapolis. I seen the Barons in Jackson, TN. I just went to my 1st Sox road trip on Monday and may go to Detroit at the end of the month. I've been to see the Sox about 100 times in my life. I've never been to the Urinal though B) -

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 2, 2009 -> 07:13 AM) Bruce Chen? KC must be desperate. Have we seen him before -
Had a great time at the game last night. The Indian fans were pretty cool eventhough they are pretty angry with the way their team has been playing this season. They really are pissed about the Larosa trade, especially with the way Perez pitched last night. We paid $12 to park and it was pretty neat being able to watch both teams take batting practice. They let you in the park 2 1/2 hours before the game, but you have to stay in the right field seats until 1 hour before the game. We got 4 balls, even my wife caught one ( it bounced right into her lap ) Danks threw us a ball and so did Castro. I gave Castro's ball to this boy wearing a Garland shirt. I like thier field and I would go back again.

QUOTE (whitesox901 @ Jun 29, 2009 -> 12:57 AM) have been there twice, be carefull. Indians fans are assholes and prics and still think its 1997 and still have the best team in MLB and have sold out every game I've seen the Knights on the road in Toledo, Columbus, Louisville and Indianapolis and the fans were really cool towards us. But that was Minor League ball. Hopefully there's only 20,000 fans there and Gavin shuts down the Indians

I've got tickets to tomorrows game in Cleveland. Right now the weather forcast is 50% rain . I really hope I don't have to drive over 5 hours to sit in the rain This is my 1st time going to Cleveland and it looks like the directions I have are pretty easy to follow. Has anybody been to Progressive Field and how easy is it to get to from I90?

"Because our fans are not stupid like Cubs fans. They know we're (expletive)." Ozzie Rocks I don't care if Lou is dissing the Sox. Every Cub fan I know plays the attendance card when dissing the Sox.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 28, 2009 -> 05:08 PM) Charlotte roughed up Broadway in a 7-3 win 7 earned in 5 innings, an ERA over 6 Wasn't he a 1st rounder B)

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 28, 2009 -> 03:43 PM) I got to see him a few times that year too, got his autograph as well. Did you go to a Barons home game or road game? I saw the Barons in Jackson, TN back when the Diamond-Jax were the Cubs AA team. We were there the night before Sammy showed up for rehab.
