  1. Alexi has alot to learn, like how many outs there are
  2. It wouldn't be a big deal if he was you or me, but seeing how he is a Highly Paid athlete which represents his employer The Chicago Bulls, even in the off season, I would guess that maybe it's a big deal with some people.
  3. I figured some one would have started one I guess he was coming home from Ricky Williams' house
  4. Tonight is the night the Sox show the National Audience why they are in 1st Place
  5. QUOTE (shipps @ May 25, 2008 -> 07:21 AM) Happy Birthday to the old man Jim Spencer also. Thanks You have to admit I look pretty good for an Old Man Happy B-Day Soxy, where are we going to go to celebrate? Remember I get a Senior-Discount

  7. QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2008 -> 10:34 PM) So the scouting report I heard on Eldred yesterday was that when he faced a crappy pitcher who was throwing 82 mph, he hit a mammoth homer. When he faced the hard throwing Balfour, he was K'd easily. Man, to bad he wasn't up to face Zito Saturday
  8. This was a pretty easy one, especially with the hitters. Now if you want a poll that wouldn't be soo one-sided, How about the hitter that was the biggest disapointment in April
  9. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ May 4, 2008 -> 09:32 PM) No doubt about it... a mullet. Mullet here also I had a flat top with the sides down to my shoulders. Look pretty cool in 1988
  10. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ May 2, 2008 -> 01:05 AM) Man I wish I was allowed in Canada, I'd try to catch one of these games. Visa problems
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 03:24 PM) I saw Olivoo, but I didn't want to "pile on" the old guy. Knightni, you'll see, your mind starts slipping when you hit 40 Oh yeah, Joe Borchard is hitting .242 down in Richmond
  12. I sure wish Owens could play 2nd base. CQ deserves to be in the line-up, just like BA deserves to be on the team.
  13. QUOTE (LetsTalkAboutSoxBaby @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:38 PM) Any chance Alexei's work visa works in Charlotte? I sure hope so...
  14. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 10:08 AM) nothing like Anderson, Uribe and Hall as the bottom 3 in todays lineup Kind of looks like the bottom of my Little League line-up

  19. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 08:44 AM) Swish, RF OC, SS Thome, DH PK, 1B AJ, C Q, LF Crede, 3B BA, CF Ramirez, 2B Vazquez, SP Ozzie has got to keep BA in the line-up now. He's our Good-Luck Charm
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 08:06 AM) People my age are freaking idiots. The pressure to look like you are rolling for some reason has never been higher. Trendy, expensive s*** is seen as a necessity rather than something that you indulge in once in a while. Getting hammered for $100-$200 every Friday/Saturday night is the norm. My friend, who lives in a two bedroom apartment with a guy he barely knows, just bought a 23k Chevy Trailblazer. Great decision, with gas prices where they are... let's not think about saving up for a downpayment on a home, let's buy a freaking Trailblazer. My wife and I cringe when we think of all our friends that blow their money on superfluous s***. I've got two friends who spent more than 5k on Cubs tickets the first day they went on sale just so they could be posers. One of them admittedly so. Seriously, most of my friends have no idea what it is to be responsible financially, and it's depressing. At least my wife and I have it figured out. As long as your freind dosen't have a family to support who cares what he spents his money on. Some day the "light will come on", hopefully when it does he won't be to far in the hole. Alot of people in their 20's don't give much thought to thinking to far ahead, but the future is here sooner than you think.
  21. Man, Charlie Haeger is off to a rough start this season. Maybe it's time to go back to playing Golf again
  22. QUOTE (retro1983hat @ Apr 27, 2008 -> 09:59 PM) I haven't been to a Saturday night game since 2005. The past few years I have been going to weekday games. Anyways, I was at Saturday's game vs. the O's. As I walked the lower level I noticed something, there are a lot of tools that hang out at Sox games. Basically the entire outfield concourse was one big beer garden where at least 1000 younger fans were not watching any part of the game, but getting plastered and making complete asses of themselves. This was not genter specific. Yes, there were some bachelor/ette parties in attendance, but it looked like Wrigley South to me. Just an observation. Goto the "SLAM" Board, I posted my observation about my experience sitting in the big beer garden on Thursday night. I titled my post " Drunken Sox Fans".
  23. Ozzie has to remember if he gets 5 decent innings out of Jose, Yank him and go to Masset
  24. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 09:55 PM) I detest MacDougal. Is Wasserman the guy with the funny delivery? I forget his delivery. Is he a hack or is there hope he can get the job done? He throws side-arm.
