House passes Iraq Withdrawal bill
The War is over. We have lost. Any other thought is delusion. "Well, we could win if we'd just wait."

Danks wins White Sox fifth starter's job
Well that explains a lot. Viva Guillen!

Danks wins White Sox fifth starter's job
Guess I should point it out when it comes to Brian Anderson or something, and his replacement, El Senor Erstado!

I thought Ozzie hated young white kids

Major League Baseball Reaches a New Low?
Well, it's not just a Pete Rose jab. A Weaver jab, too, I suppose, but it works every way because MLB does take itself far too seriously.

Major League Baseball Reaches a New Low?
Also: MLB might've banned him from the game. and by "from the game," I don't mean "from the game" I mean from "The Game."
-
Here's to you, Juan Uribe
Juan Uribe once caught Derek Jeter catching and still had time to dive into the Houston crowd.

Major League Baseball Reaches a New Low?
He should've kept it on in protest. But they might've banned him from the game.

Here's to you, Juan Uribe
QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Mar 24, 2007 -> 12:00 PM) Hey why waste such good liquor. I know: let's pour one of the new $6.50 beers on the concourse in his name. Beers are six dollars and fifty cents now?

Is Floyd being groomed for the pen?
He has an option. I'd be furious if he made it over, say, Haeger. Floyd is garbage.

Here's to you, Juan Uribe
Let's pour liquor on the sidewalk in his name.

Baltimore claims Sean Tracey
All of them valuable players to have.

Obama = Walmart
Obama clearly wants nothing to do with him because he's a bum and has all these problems. Not saying that not giving him money is bad -- just that Obama clearly doesn't want to be involved at all and so he's trying to pawn it off on his staff by telling them to get him to a social agency or something but the truth is he doesn't want to be associated with this guy.

Here's to you, Juan Uribe
That was a great great play, and I think it was Coco running down that line, too.

Baltimore claims Sean Tracey
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 07:34 PM) Annoyed that we couldn't even get some sort of mid level prospect for him. Considering the huge needs a lot of teams have bullpen help at the moment, and Tracey is someone who can potentially help a team's pen right now, we should have done better. But it's no suprise he's not here anymore, which is a bit sad when you thnk about it, just because of 1 thing he didn't do. I'm sure that plays a part but the kid sucks. He can't throw strikes to save his life.

so... it looks like Danks?
I heard he sucked but looked good doing it in the Fall League or something.

3/23/06 Sox @ Rockies 3:05 CT
QUOTE(mr_genius @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 03:53 PM) We did get Floyd and Gio for Garcia. i think Freddy is about done as a MLB pitcher, seems like a good trade to me. Nah. I think fathom's right. Garcia was worth more than Floyd + Gio. Philly knows it, and we should know it, especially after watching Floyd this spring.

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 03:35 PM) Floyd isn't a good pitcher that is for sure.

Baltimore claims Sean Tracey
Why would they want to? He sucks.

<3 Chicago Police: Brutal
I beg to differ, NorthSide. This is why poor people, people in "the ghetto," cynical people, College Liberals -- this is why people don't trust the police department, because they see policemen like this and figure, "That's what a lot of them are like." I don't hate the PD but I don't necessarily care for it as it's run or stands. I know a lot of sleazy, crooked cops and it's hard to have faith in a system with men that I know who suck.

Freddy Garcia Thread
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 08:43 PM) "Velocity concerns since Spring Training began?" LOL, try velocity concerns since the beginning of last season, and he'd been steadily losing MPH since 2004

Sox make 7 roster moves
I wish we had a cupcake on our staff who struck out two hundred guys last season, won sixteen games and posted a mid-three ERA.
