  1. I'd do Crede for Figgins and Aybar, but only if Uribe were out for sure.
  2. I don't deny his achievements but I'm sure Bill Belichick, amongst many others, could take this team, in this division, to the playoffs two years in a row, and I'm sure Belichick would've beaten the Panthers last year. Just a difference of opinion, I guess.
  3. Bill Belichick. Tom Brady. Exotic blitzes. History. Any of these answers will do. He's fine and well. I like him. But I'd take about seven guys over him, if they were available.
  4. I concur. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 14, 2007 -> 08:33 PM) Shocking. I think everybody appreciates a little bad attitude and bad behavior here and there. And everybody's guilty of it, too.
  5. That's nothing. Tom Jackson had it coming; Mangini should suck it up; the Cameraman shouldn't have been in the way (and should've had better balance); also, LT should put out what he's talking about, specifically, that he think Belichick did wrong to him/his team (besides what he did right: namely, beat them) or shut up. Also: I kind of appreciate a little bad attitude here and there.
  6. What makes him a tool? That he shoved a cameraman out of his way while going mid-field? Or something else that I'm unaware of? All the same, I'm of the opinion that grumpy and snarky people aren't bad at all, so unless he's out there driving up to the curb to splash fragile old women, I don't think I'll be too bothered by his "tool" behavior.
  7. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 14, 2007 -> 08:13 PM) He may be a football mastermind but he's a complete tool. So?
  8. Man, it'll be great to see Tom Brady rip up the Colts in the playoffs again. Also: haha Chargers and Ravens. Never impressed. PS: Saints scare me in NFC Championship, but I think it'll be a Bears-Patriots Super Bowl, and another ring on Tom Brady's hand.
  9. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 14, 2007 -> 10:58 AM) The Sox have complained about the cost of mediocrity. Santana does not apply to that statement. I can see the Sox signing Santana to a huge contract. I highly doubt the White Sox spend 20million+ on any one player, particularly a pitcher, per year. No way do I think this happens.
  10. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 06:41 PM) If Manning can put up these numbers in the playoffs and win, why cant Rex?? Because Peyton Manning is ten times the quarterback Grossman is. Oh, sorry. Because Manning has a better team around him, offensively, than Grossman. And, well, Manning hasn't exactly faced heavyweights. I was never impressed by the Ravens.

  12. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 05:08 PM) Ya, right around there. Thats why I asked. I don't remember it at all, as I was just getting into Little League. Seems like most people were talking about events they actually recall. Well you'll have to excuse me then for having an opinion on something I've read all about in my lifetime.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 04:56 PM) Some of that may very well be the Bears defense simply knowing that they didn't need to win any more for the last few weeks of the year. Combine that with injuries, and the defense could look a lot worse than it really is. I've been thinking the same.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 09:11 AM) Not drafting Barry Bonds. Trading Sosa too.
  15. I was. It's still one of the most disgraceful things I've ever read about and been told about. How old were you? Six?
  16. El Duque's Third Inning was amazing. Iguchi's 7-RBI in two innings night. The Pablo Ozuna Walkoff versus Oakland. The World Series inning I most enjoyed, believe it or not, was El Duque's bottom of the ninth against Houston in game three. THAT was scary baseball. Worst: strike, White Flag, when Magglio Ordonez refused to give me an autograph when I was ten even though it was kid's day and he was my favorite player.
  17. Slate magazine is running a Dialogue (emails between its sports fan columnists) about this year's playoffs. I thought their take on the Bears was funny. I've found that most people don't care about the Bears this weekend. Personally, I don't think they've got a chance to go all the way with Grossman, but we'll see. I'm still rooting for the Bears...but I think I'd rather see the Patriots go all the way.
  18. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 02:34 PM) Nuremberg Trials What a stretch.
  19. This is a very striking song to me. why do you treat me this way? and why do you try so hard to break my spirit? i think someone was mean to you when you were little, that's what i think. i think someone was mean to you. why do you cling to such petty points of contention? and why don't you allow one or two small victories now and then? i think someone was mean to you when you didn't deserve it, that's what i think. i think someone was mean to you. but i, i am not that guy. can you get that straight? i am a completely different person from the one you have in mind. why do you stand by the things you say long after you don't mean to hurt anybody anymore? i think someone was mean to you for a long, long time, that's what i think. i think someone was mean to you. I love the Mountain Goats.
  20. I suspected a couple weeks ago, before the recent news/pictures came out, that Juan might be out of shape and distracted because of the legal problems. I'm not happy to have been right, and I still hope that I'm not. Hopefully he'll be in shape and well.
