If it makes you feel better, Reddy, I formally give you permission to post in the big kid's area.

I google newsed it, and couldn't find a word about it. Link please.

I'm putting you on my ignore list.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 4, 2007 -> 09:11 AM) you're one of the most ridiculous posters I've ever encountered on this site. what's with the sex stuff all the time? ::sneeze:: I don't have an answer for that. I can recall three times I've talked about something sexxxy on this site, and one of them was quite a while back. The other was prompted by someone else's sexxxy talk, and the most recent one -- the reference to the Chinese porno shop in Chinatown -- wasn't sexxxy talk so much as, "That was a f***ed up shop," talk. So I'm not sure what you're talking about and reject your characterization.

I walked into a Chinese porn-video shop today. My girlfriend and I were walking through Chinatown and on the window of this video store I noticed that it said, "Audlt videos" and I said, "Uh, okay? Is that -- porn, or a typo?" and I said, "Come with me," and Anne said, "I've got coffee!" and I said, "Wait here." I came out and said, "Wow, that's f***ed up," because I looked around the store and there was a six pack of beer in the corner, by the videos. There was porn all over, and it all had the dirtiest feel, like a sex shop, or a human-trafficking store. Got out of there soon thereafter. But no, I don't have any movie recommendations for you. Except, I suppose, the movies I've watched. Internal Affairs is damn good, if you haven't seen it and are up for something from 1990.

Picked up a copy of Cooperstown for Christmas and The Baseball Book for RegularMas, today. Good books.

I thought it was the funniest thing in the world a few weeks ago when someone mentioned him as a possible for the Twins and then put up a prayer emoticon.

Have seen Cellular, Internal Affairs and Parenthood. Liked IA best. I really liked IA. Cellular was damn good and Parenthood was, too. Very fun movies, all of them. But IA was REAL good, IMO.

Trailer park residents offered buyouts

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 3, 2007 -> 12:31 AM) Why is being opposed to the thought of "this is a gorgeous place, a 300 room luxury hotel would look perfect here." crazy? I wouldn't live in a trailer park on the ocean like that, but it appears to be a functioning community... and I think that's something worth valuing. Over a s*** ton of condos in a flooded market? Yes please. Because you can buy the sweetest trailer ever with 1million dollars. -
Dallas, please. I hate the Cowboys, and their fans, and would like to have them shut up by the Bears.

http://volokh.com/archives/archive_2006_12...html#1167791582 Garbage. Utter garbage. Now, I don't blame him for lobbying for more money. That's fine enough. By nature we're all greedy and like maxxx dollar$$$. But THIS was the ONLY THING in his annual report on the Judiciary? That's it? You've got to be kidding me. It sure as hell isnt' a Constitutional crisis, and it certainly isn't so bad that Roberts should make it the sole item of his message. It is not too little. The system is not messed up. You get into public service to make a mark on society. You don't do it to line your pockets. Which isn't to say that they should starve or "struggle to afford a Ford Taurus," because they shouldn't. But they don't, either. Not at all. You want to get rich -- become an analyst on Wall Street. If you want to be comfortable financially but make a mark on society, do politics. How ridiculous I find this.

QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 10:57 PM) 2. I'm 18 and have never smoked anything or drank an alcoholic beverage. Good for you. Really. I've ripped a bunch of things in my shoulder. Swimming, years ago, and I still can't throw a baseball very hard, very far. I can get it sixty feet or so, maybe seventy, but not much further than that. Which is partly why I'm nervous as hell about the upcoming HS baseball season in which I hope to pitch. Hooray for offspeed stuff!

Saw the movie "Closer" today. Very good. Very, very good.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 03:37 PM) yeah..anorexia at 11. cute. That's one hell of a jump you're making. You should try out for Evil Knievel's old job. He's a fat kid, there's no denying that, and he'd like to lose a few pounds. It isn't "anorexia," thanks, or anything near it.

My eleven year old cousin, who is going to be playing his first year of Little League this year, told me he wants to lose weight "so I won't look so fat in the uniform." It was the cutest thing.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 07:26 AM) Nice choke job by Denver there. Gotta chance to make the playoffs at home against the Niners and you lose? Ouch. Anyone else think the Colts are in real trouble next week? Just me and Jordan. Right above you.

I have a friend who is ridiculously stupid. He goes around asking people, "Do you know when it's acceptable to cheat? Like, when something happens to your wife. Like, if the house burns and she gets her face burnt. You don't want to kiss that!" and it might seem as if it were some ultra sarcastic prank, ala Borat, but it's not. That's really how he thinks. "How could you stay with that!" Well, Tom is more an acquaintance than a friend. Not that I'm saying that THAT is what PA is saying -- though it might be. I'm just saying that's what comes to mind for me. And I, of course, don't endorse the sentiment or thought behind that thought.

Bajenaru a diamondback minor leaguer any interest
Gregory Pratt replied to Bubba Philips's topic in FutureSox Board
Baj. is a born-again Christian. I took his comment to be a knock on his brand of Faith, myself, as a comment saying that born-again Christians are inherently headcases. Baj. is the classiest guy I know in baseball. Great guy, and I sure wish him well. I don't think he's nuts or anything. -
QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 12:17 PM) Id say less than 60% are good looking. But this thread is f***ed up.

QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) Is that Pink song for Sunday Night Football annoying or catchy? I need help. Those lyrics are terrible. I figure, if you've got to sell out -- and of course you've got to, everybody does -- then at least do it with some sort of integrity. I'd suggest you look it up but I believe you're drunk as I think I read you say that on another thread. So huzzah! to new records!

Rex Grossman can't handle the Packer defense, or the Miami defense, or the Cardinal defense. He can't take a snap without fumbling. What, is that the second botched snap he's had this year? That shouldn't happen in Pro Football. Can you imagine what the Ravens or the Chargers would do to him? I have no problem with Rex starting, considering the other options. But I don't believe he'll do much. -- On another note: LOL at the Colts for finding themselves facing KC. I hope the Chiefs destroy them.

CTA isn't a government job. It's an independent authority. If I reported her, she'd be fired.

It's pretty exciting.
