  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) There are definitely some on here who believes he was, I am not one of them. How does someone come to that conclusion?
  2. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 12:37 AM) Organic? Heh. I'm glad somebody caught that.
  3. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) Didn't Rowand drop one? No way!
  4. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:49 AM) There are a lot of players struggling out of the gate. Pods had the groin injury and shoulder injury, so I am sure he will come around. Hell Ichiro is 0 for his last 13 ABs and is batting .200 on the season. Who is this Ichiro you speak of?
  5. QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:14 AM) Nobody's stepped up and made this thread! I figured it was appropriate since today I do my defense for my Master's Thesis. Wish me luck! Good luck. May the Force be with you AND the Sox!
  6. Mark Buehrle is going to be a Palehose for the rest of his life, even if he winds up pitching for the Cardinals.
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:45 AM) How far did Thome's HR on Sunday in KC go? It still hasn't landed.
  8. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 06:59 PM) You're forgetting that he's hammered and that he's Kyle Orton.
  9. Who the hell thinks Aaron Rowand is on steroids?!
  10. QUOTE(chisoxdavid @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) LOL you tell him. I havent done it in a while, but dont have a problem with grown folks doin it either, as long as they are not in sections 507, 508, or any section that far. "Pour it on, Harry!"
  11. He's always been a fat guy and always will be. He's been pitching well, and for that I'm glad. Or he pitched well today, at least.
  12. I'm worried about Garcia more than anyone else. If he's throwing like he cares, we should be fine. If not, I'm going to SMASH something. Preferably a near-extinctinct Tiger!
  13. I'm glad to see I'm not alone in having a heart!
  14. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) Nice peace. As opposed to nasty war? Good article.
  15. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 05:59 PM) What would be the point of sitting Podsednik? He cant hit the ball now, why would we sit him? How would it help? Pods missed alot of time during ST, and he needs to work himself out of this slump by getting his hacks at the plate. Lets just hope it doesnt take much longer.... My point exactly.
  16. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 05:26 PM) If you're above the age of ten, you should not be making this thread. I bet you bring your glove to the ballpark too, don't you? Actually, I haven't in ages, but I am going to Sunday. We all like to enjoy things differently. Kiss my ass.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 04:32 PM) As long as the starter isn't pitching, sure. I haven't gone for auto's in a long time, but usually anywhere from the dugout down the line on either teams side and your in a good spot. Ah, so I should just bum around the dugout? That's before the game, right?
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 04:10 PM) Another two weeks? That's about 50 at-bats. If we had to give Pods nearly 75 ABs to get back into game shape, then we really screwed the pooch by not having him start the season on the DL. I said that was a worst case scenario. But I think DLing him would be bad. His problem is, I think, that he hasn't had enough time to practice his timing. Real-world practice is what he needs, methinks. I think he'll be okay and sooner than my worst case scenario.
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 04:29 PM) Ya, pitchers do not sign on game day (the starting pitcher that is). They ahve to go through all there stretching and get in there long toss (to warm the arms) and usually they have a bit of a meeting before the game with the catcher and pitching coach as well where they discuss the approaches and all that good stuff. Plus the Sox are going to have Freddy warm up a little longer for this start to see if they can get him loosened up. So otherwise there's still a chance I can get to another of the guys and say a few words and stuff?
  20. QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 04:09 PM) If he is pitching that day, you will not be able to talk to him at all. Bah! I want to catch Boone Logan.
  21. Hey, during warm-ups and before the game and stuff, where can a fan before the game catch a player for an autograph or to have a few words? My friend and I are going, and though he's a Cubs fan, he loves Freddy, and Freddy should be pitching Sunday, so we'd like to hopefully catch his signature or say hello. You know, during batting practice and stuff, just go behind the plate and hopefully the players are feeling friendly, or what?
  22. It's just the start of the season and he missed much of ST. He'll be fine in about two weeks, I'd say, at worst. I'm sure he'll be okay. Players slump sometimes, particularly at the start. ::shrug::
  23. QUOTE(Brian @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 03:37 PM) Where did Thome's bomb actually land? The camera lost it. It didn't land.
  24. If we get Sweeney up to the plate with none on and two outs in the first, we should bean him again. Come on Buehrle!
