QUOTE(GoTribe @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 03:09 PM) Hi everyone. Should be a great game today. I wanted you all to win the World Series, but back to my old ways of wanting you to lose. Let's hope we each make the playoffs for some respect nationally. Nevertheless let's hope its not rained out and GO TRIBE! No playoffs for you. Welcome aboard.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 01:11 PM) Well, as many of you know, tonight is Wrestlemania. Although I am not a wrestling fan in any way, shape, or form, through work, my father has been working with the people at WWE for the past month or so in preparation for tonight's event. Last night, at some work function with a lot of the WWE brass, he learned a pretty interesting fact. Apparently, the wrestlers of the pay-per-view events are not told the outcome of their match until minutes before the actual event. Only a select few know the outcome of the matches and the results are no released to anyone within the organization except the winner of the match, moments before they walk through the tunnel. In fact, the losers of the match are not even told, only the winners. So, they rehearse the match all week long like it is going to be preformed, but, only the winner knows the outcome and it isn't revealed to the loser until he is forced to take the three count. Kind of interesting. I know there are a lot of wrestling fans out there...enjoy tonight. There's no way that's true. In fact, it's bulls***. Most of the time the wrestlers know in advance. Where an angle is going. What they intend for their character. All of this. And wrestlers don't typically "rehearse" their matches. From everything I've read -- several autobiographies -- they typically talk about things before a match, and plot it out, but that's it. Your dad's been had by the WWE. But don't feel too bad -- the WWE is very protective of its "secrets".

NBA seeks to ban tights next season

Not being a player, I don't particularly care. But I do think there's something to be said for the fact that they're indoors and players have been playing without them for a long time. -
I love the depth of our team at every position. I love having Widge to back up AJ. Although Widger is probably sad because Mason lost. Poor him.
-
Oh. And I might be watching it with a Cubs fan, Chris, because it's fun to torture him.
-
Hahaha! I thought I was going to look at this and find a story about, oh, I don't know. Boone Logan and hookers or something. I'm likely going to be watching with my friend Chris or my friend Cindy.

Mine is John McEnroe. I love him.

I hate things like this. And US Cellular Field. But if it has to happen to a team, let it be the Cubs. -
I was very sorry to see Mason lose.

CHSAS beat Bowen. 11-0. Mercy Rule. At the end, our pitcher accidentally beaned their batter, and the batter was going to charge the mound but seemingly thought better of it as he took about five feet foward. He stopped. Was swearing at our pitcher, who approached him saying, "Hey, I'm sorry, it wasn't deliberate" and then the charger began to walk toward him somewhat angrily but completely slowly. Then it was broken up before a fight could be had. Interesting Opening Day. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 10:59 AM) Dana Jacobson? Oh man she is the biggest f***ing b**** ever. She should thank the Lord she has a vagina, or else she wouldn't have a job. I remember her once saying that the guy suing Antonio Davis' wife was a money hungry bastard because he sued for money, and the wife was an innocent victim. What an idiot. Sorry to get off-topic, but I luuuuuuuuv your signature. And I agree with you on Dana. -
I see Garcia or Contreras as odd men out, but not until past this year. Garland would be the number one odd man out, in my view, if he significantly falls off this year, but I highly doubt that. The kid's for real. I think McCarthy might have to spend a year or two more primarily in the Pen. Then replace Garcia.

QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 07:19 PM) You're right. Being fat and out of shape actually makes a hitter more productive. It's the secret to Bonds' success!

QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 09:00 PM) Carl helped us win a World Series. That's why I miss him! I know I'm having a joke about Everett, but I am grateful for him. I just, ah, much prefer Jim Thome. -

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 08:29 PM) Yup, the final score was 1-0. Then the ump called the game in the 6th for "darkness" aka "I got somewhere to go." :headshake You guys have a helluva nice field though. The White Sox sponsored/paid for it right? I love that big Sox logo in the middle. Only thing is that my stomach was killing me. All those chemicals and pesticides and s*** you guys got... :puke Oh, and tell some of your classmates that flip-flops don't come out until May. :headshake The White Sox paid for it and sent a bunch of their players to meet us at the opening last year. It was an incredibly decent and nice thing for them to do. I'll let you tell my teammates that when you see them again, mate. I am still a rookie, after all! -

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) You play for Bowen or CHSAS? We lost to CHSAS the other day on a missed runner interference call by the ump. Our regular season conference games begin tommorrow as well. Brooks vs Payton. I play for CHSAS. Was the game that they played you guys in a 1-0 decision? I wasn't able to attend that game because I was ill. I have been sick as hell all week. Parts of last week, too. -
