  1. He shouldn't have been driving at all!
  2. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 02:52 AM) Divisional rivals don't meet in the first round. Angels over A's and Astros over Cubs can't happen in the DS. Also you have 3 teams from the NL Central and none from the NL West.
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 08:46 PM) Team is 1-1 without me so far. We beat Amundsen today 12-8. Isn't that just the Preseason? That's what my team is in right now, and we're 1-0 in it.
  4. I feel confident even in our bullpen. Neal Cotts, Politte, Jenks, and McCarthy will have to carry the load in tough games where putting out Thornton or one of the crappy callups just isn't prudent.
  5. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 07:32 AM) http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/base...es.rowand.0653/ Of course he's a fan favorite. I'm not sure if there are any fans who wouldn't appreciate such a gritty, solid player. Even Philadelphians.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 09:53 PM) In boston during the playoffs... Post 'em!
  7. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 09:21 PM) I will stick to my opinion of him being an idiot for having an opinion that Frank is Fat. Plus I need some sort of source or link that says Frank ever took steroids even once. If I get that I will change my opinion. I agree that he should present evidence of what he said, re: Frank + steroids. However, it isn't worthy of calling him an idiot for saying Frank's a tad on the heavy side.
  8. This guy is the most dangerous player on the team, talent-wise.
  9. Wait, there are pictures of AJ philandering, too?
  10. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) you're an idiot I say this honestly: I've no clue what he's said that makes him an idiot. What makes him an "idiot" for his statements, which seem rational and intelligent enough to me.
  11. QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) Good luck to ya. Thank you.
  12. I'm on my team at Chicago Ag. We won last year and the year before. I'm going to be a second baseman and left fielder, likely. I'm not an all-star, but I'm consistently sound. It's my first year, though.
  13. I've always thought Borchard to be a good, decent human being, and I hope he's okay, mentally and emotionally. I wish him the best of luck, personally, and the most happiness. As for the pitcher, I think we got a fair deal as far as talent, unfortunately. I just hope he, at least, is as decent a human being as Borchard -- the only place he really shines, IMO.
  14. PS: Dusty Baker should be more worried about his pitchers not being forced to make too many throws and with, you know, trying to beat the Brewers, than with playing the White Sox.
  15. I am incredibly happy with the Vazquez trade.
  16. Because we totally have the forces to preserve stability in Iraq andand duel with the Iranians!
  17. I disagree with his b****ing about the WBC, and his insults of Maddux, but he's right on everything else.

    Losing Love

    Hi. Short end of the story is this: my girlfriend and I broke up. She left me. There wasn't anything wrong with the relationship. I'd rather not go into the circumstances, but she and I were a wonderful couple. Largely, the break came out of fear of committment, and that's as far as I'd like to go with that. It broke my heart. It was a month ago. Since then, I've tried to move on with my life. Today, I went on a date with a girl and had a splendid time. Part of me, however, feels down because if it were up to me, I'd have been with my ex. I wasn't thinking that at the time -- no way! -- but now, after the date, there's a small sadness in me. A bit of regret. And, let me just say, that I'm known to understate. How long will it take for me to stop caring about her and missing her? Has anyone here ever lost a love and to some extent regretted it for the rest of their lives, or did you get over it?
  19. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 07:01 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/worldclassic...tory?id=2372893 I think the tone that's written in is incredibly biased. ::shrug:: It makes me laugh, though. But I love the WBC.
  20. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) Clemens may be making his last ever start. Well, next time Mark Buehrle starts, just remember that he may die the next day and it'll be his last start. And everytime Mark Prior starts, remember that he might get a toothache the next day and it might be his last start. Clemens is too much of a whore to make this his last start. Big deal if it is, though.
  21. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) Good article. There's one sentence in the beginning which I can forsee trouble: If I watch PTI or ATH and see "EBONICS," "PIERZ," or "AJ" as an upcoming category, I'm going to vomit with rage. In our sensitive times, all it takes is one person to misinterpret what he said as blatant stereotyping. Does he often makes those jokes? How did Jermaine take them? Is he the type to, you know, take jokes about race friend-lily?
  22. I love this: You know how adorable that is?
  23. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 10:38 PM) Why not just start showing it in the 3rd inning, after the other game? I don't see whats so bad about that. Then show it in it's entirety later. They are showing some live look ins on SC though. Vernon Wells just K'd with the bases loaded. With that said, anyone know if Comcast Users get Deportes? That was one of the worst swings ever by Wells. I'm so frustrated and angry with the American team. 6-1 Korea. They hit a Three Run Blast.
  24. I'm of the position that Scientology just deserves to be made fun of and everyone who believes in it, too. ::shrug:: But what he's doing is hypocritical. What a b****!
