Sox could face Garcia By Mark Gonzales, 6:37 p.m. MINNEAPOLIS -- If the White Sox need to play Monday's makeup game with Detroit to decide the American League Central title, they could see a familar face. According to veteran Tigers beat writer John Lowe of the Detroit Free Press, manager Jim Leyland said Freddy Garcia probably would start against the Sox if the makeup game is needed. "Big Game Freddy" pitched for the Sox from 2004 to 2006 and was the winning pitcher in Game 4 of the 2005 World Series. My first reaction was how Freddie is part of Ozzie's family.........I'm all for it!!!!

Man what a dumb a** thread I started. The power that be can feel free to delete this.

First off, I haven't anticipated a series like this since '05 and I am quite nervous everytime I think about it. Lets get this damn thing started. Now, the fact that this might as well be a playoff series, does this help the sox if they take care of business and go to the playoffs? I mean, to clinch and play meaningless games for a week or to or to play a tough playoff atmosphere series and then roll into the playoffs? I think it could be exactly what this team needs at this point. Go Sox..........everyone enjoy this next week!!!

I already planned on missing the game and taking here wherever to celebrate her birthday, but she knows how much the Sox mean to me, and I'm quite surprised when I threw it out there that they would be around the same time, that she did not offer to compromise. If situation were reversed, I would offer up to watch a game for 3 hours with her. Also, I think they won't even play Saturday according to the tenative playoff schedule I have seen.

Okay, so my girlfriend of 2.5 years birthday happens to fall on October 3 which is a Friday and the begining of the playoffs. Her being who she is, of course we have to celebrate all weekend. So one night, I bring up the fact that is the first weekend of the playoffs and the Sox might be in it. She immediately assumes I will skip whatever activities for the game and gets mad. On top of that, I was already assuming that I would have to miss whatever game to treat her to a great brithday weekend. Is she right or am I right? Wouldn't a great girl allow me to enjoy my White Sox, and do some sort of compromise? Help me out here!

My buddy told me that while playing GTA 4, having the HDMI cable will make it easier to see on the game. Sometimes it gets pretty hard at night. Any thoughts? Thanks for the help
