  1. red sox fans are the type of fan you would let in traffic infront of you, and they wouldn't even wave back....such jerks. nothing like those st. louis fans
  2. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) I think we should move montero or Tim Redding or Boone Logan for a prospect or two. Im sure someone will overpay for a reliever with ok numbers, and MLB experience. thats what im saying rock!! reds!??! Chris Denforia & Ryan Wagner for Tim Redding +/ Cliff Politte +/ Boone Logan +/ Augstin Montero, Kalapse stop your work on the Chone Figgins deal and get on this one.
  3. Sean Tracey? I'm excited at the prospect of Dustin possibly returning. All we need is someone for mop up duty who wont s*** the bed, if Dustin can give us a career average year from him that would be wonderful. a 4.21ERA & 1.36 WHIP would suffice.
  4. eww more pods lol, seriously though as has been stated numerous times by Kalapse pods is horrid out in LF, older/slower and getting a lil bit more $$$. If we could get Denforia for say Politte+Montero+Tracey or something of that nature, id say pull the trigger. Denforia looks to be Youkillis and then some with the ability to steal more bags, and hit for the same amout of power and avg, all the while drawing a ton of walks nearly a 1k/bb ratio, thats impressive. have Denforia move to LF, Fields to 2B, and eventually sweeny takes over RF and the #2 spot in the lineup, all the while keeping the white sox young, cheap and incredibly talented. Doing what the Yankees failed to do after their last dynasty.
  5. On the 05/23/06 call, i imagine Hawk falling out of his seat when he says "way back" lol
  6. For DBA on the Denorfia front a nice play out in LF on 09/16/05 and his first career hit a HR on 09/09/05 both here. Seriously it blows my mind how the reds are just letting him rot down at AAA he can play anywhere in the OF, and he turns 26 in 8 days. Hes currently batting .349, 34RBI, 4HR, 28BB/30SO, 14SB/1CS, .408OBP wow. I've got a question for people on this board, What do you think of Youkillis as a lead off hitter? If your a proponet of Youkillis as a lead off hitter would you be open to someone like Denforia batting lead off for say the sox next year? just throwing it out there.
  7. nice, i love it, "Jooooe Creeeeeede-ee"
  8. QUOTE(earthshiner @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 11:33 AM) http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...d=cws&ym=200509 the Crede one is on this page. ahh yes '05, i still laugh every time AJ steps on boone, awesome.
  9. Nice work RME, you should do a break down for every series, me gusta
  10. you realize, Dye took less money to come here orginally right?
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) Did you guys see Aramis making the first out of the inning at third while trying to turn a double into a triple? The funny part is that he watched the ball and did a mini home run jig, then jogged down to first and finally decided to stop jogging after he rounded first. That is why the Cubs are worthless. I just loved the s*** eating grin he had on his face when he thought it was gone and then was later thrown out at third, and then in the AB when lee was on second and he SO he looked pissed
  12. QUOTE(VAfan @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 09:46 AM) According to a fan on another Sox site: Hermanson pitched an inning for Charlotte last night. 12 pitches, 8 strikes. 1 ground ball, two fly balls, no walks. It's a start. lol that fan was me.
  13. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 09:54 AM) god i wish he did the AJ homer call at Wrigley, he would have s*** his depends. @ ^^^
  14. Personally I think Hawks best call so far this season was on 05/22/06 when Rob Mackowiak had a pinch hit HR off Houston Street, the way he says "way back" it sounds like hes having a heart attack, and I laugh every time, you can watch it here. Its listed at 05/23/06 on the site.
  15. word, i was looking for a video of his debut against the astros but i couldn't find it anywhere online, anyone know where to point me in the right direction?
  16. lol, dba do you know Wagner personally or seen him? or something of that nature, do you have video on him? seriously.
  17. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 04:35 AM) Matt Thornton is a perfect example of how our GM has been willing to make more trades than not to improve this ballclub, and of our pitching coach in Don Cooper who with one main adjustment has helped Thornton to become a potentially damaging set-up man for this ballclub. It also gives me hope that we may still make something out of the likes of Sierra down at B-Ham as well. Yeah whats the latest with Sierra i remember the sox picking him up, but i haven't heard anything about him as of late. I know hes got ML stuff but just can't consistently throw strikes.
  18. yeah i look forward to seeing who they put in the 5 spot after the ASG, and Pat Neshek looks to be solid. I'm still wondering whats going to happen to former twins prospect Travis Bowyer, I know hes with the marlins now, but hes basicly a Jenks/Turnbow clone, i hope he makes with the marlins.
  19. I was just over at lookoutlanding.com reading some of the things they were saying about Matt, and all i can say is thank you Don Cooper, in tonights game he threw 6 pitches 5 of them were for strikes, beautiful.
  20. Congrats Matt on getting your first career save.
  21. Some good news on the Hermanson watch front. tonight he made his '06 milb debut, he threw 12 pitches 8 for strikes, 1 ground out 2 fly outs, no walks. I hope he can be back with this team after the ASG, God Speed Dustin.
  22. yeah, Neko Case reminds me of the good life a lil bit.
  23. Boones still only 21, and your right he made the biggest jump possible, and he once struck out 5 against the tribe, i think their is alot of potential left in him and hopefully he will make it up to the show again. Lastly hes got one of the coolest names ever Boone Logan even though lately that name means failure around these parts, but still.
  24. i look forward to this, Go SOX! of the white nature.
