  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:14 AM) Correct, just saying that when the trade was first completed, that is what most of us figured Mack would be doing, backing up Joe that is. yeah that was the impression i was under. like watching todays game Kotsay's single in the top of the thrid Anderson/Patterson would've definatly had that ball. Im happy Rob is on a hot-streak but hes avg at best in CF and i think im being generous at that.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:28 AM) A crowd that is doing the wave is not a crowd that is creating an electric atmosphere, it's one that is too busy f***ing around to even notice 3 pitching changes and a run crossing the plate. I'm sorry but I'd rather have my cake and eat it too. I really used to enjoy those 15K crowds and I know I'm not alone on this one. I love me some 38K but those 15K, put your feet up and enjoy the game with people who really cared sure were fun. i understand im just saying its something we have to deal with and i wouldn't dwell on it and id love to have my cake and eat it also but it isn't going to happen. I would love nothing more thanto have 39k all discussing the lasts pitch location and just indepth baseball talk in the stands but it isn't going to happen. But we can dream as far as the 15k crowds i miss those days too, where you could basicly have any seat you wanted in the lower bowl and there wouldn't be a person to your right or left, but things change, and they appear to have changed for the better in some senses.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) Well you basically said why the wave pisses people off in your last post. We don't need others standing in our way when we're trying to watch a 1 run ball game. One of the more annoying things around. You're there to watch baseball, not to do the f***in wave. i agree you should be there to watch baseball, esp a 1 run game, but we knew coming into this season that the bandwagon would fill up, and with it filling up it has given the sox more capital to put right back into the club you gotta give a little to get a little. This isn't Russia circa 1930, let the bandwagoners be and atempt to just enjoy the game yourself. Personally i would prefer to have a packed house doing the wave and having an electric atmopshere than 12-15k, thats all.
  4. i suppose we should check people at the gate and make sure they can recite the White Sox's 25 man roster from the year of their birth before letting them in. That way we will know they're real sox fans
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) Um, no. I love the full stadium and all but having a crowd that doesn't give a s*** about a close game in the 8th inning is sickening. I'm sure we could fill the stadium with people who can avoid standing every 60 seconds, there are plenty of people out there who would love to go to a game but can't because it's sold out lets get those people into the park to replace the asswipes who encourage the wave. well aparently by that logic the people whom didn't buy season tickets or tickets in advance to make sure the "asswipes" aren't there must not be true sox fans infact they in themselves are "asswipes" for letting other "asswipes" in the stands to do the wave. listen its a quagmire, but its one i dont mind being in.
  6. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) Translation: I did the wave nah, no one wants my 6'4 ass standing up blocking their view, but i dont mind it.
  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2006 -> 12:50 AM) You guys have no f***ing clue how pissed I was today. It's the top of the 8th f***ing inning, the dream Politte is comming into the game and bam there's a s*** load of noise comming from the upper deck, look up and what do you know the f***ing wave has broken out. A guy gets on, Nelson comes in and bam the wave hits the lower bowl all along I'm threatening to kill anyone and everyone in the middle of section 157 who stands up, luckily once Bobby got into the game the damn things stopped. Doing the stupid ass wave in the 8th inning in a 1 run game just shows that the crowd isn't entirely into the game, no they're more worried about when they have to jump up and make an ass out of themselves. I was embarrassed beyond belief. Anyone who did the wave today should be ashamed of themselves. Easy Capt. Elitist, if these people are willing to come out and support the white sox and pay to fill the seats at the ball park im fine with it. If they want to do the wave, im cool with that too, these people are the ones whom when the time comes will be paying for Mark Buehrle's new contract. So i would suggest to just embrace it, we we're all there in April in years past when no one was there, you can't have it both ways. I've been to every homestand this season and i love the feeling at the cell.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 24, 2006 -> 09:48 PM) I think that pitch he threw to Ellis was that hard slider he breaks out every now and again. Man was that nasty. Ellis just stood there for like 10 seconds thinking "What the Hell was that?". Yeah your right, i just watched the post Game show, Jenks said it was a hard slider, man Bobby is only getting better!
  9. is it me or does Jenks now have 4 pitches? i know he was a starter in the Angels organization. It looks like hes got a cutter and a change up along with his fast ball and 12-6 hook.
  10. This Ball Game is Ova! Bad Bobby Jenks FTS
  11. Mackowiak strikes out, Come on Juan!
