Does anyone know if Verlander still has the cut on his finger? and i like our chances even though i have Verlander on the 8 man challenge on MLB.com. GO SOX!

hmmm, Rogo+Anderson? thats a pretty nice return for only having to give up two lowely 2nd base prospects and it gets them younger, frees up $$$ for pitching and gives them control of both for a while.

06 Tigers = 05 Orioles?, I know alot of people here think the tigers are the real deal holyfield, but i find it hard to believe that when they've faced real competition they've faltered, Verlander has never pitched over 130 innings, Mike Maroth is on the 60 day DL, Rogers isn't spectacular during the second half, and pudge is day to day with back spasms. It seems as though we've seen them hit their full stride and even then they haven't put us in the rear view mirror. its both exciting and disappointing (for the moment) to know that this team has underachieved thus far and have the potential to explode in the very near future.

::Patterson Update:: 1-4 today with a RBI single, 2 SO, his 9 game SB streak ended. hes batting .286

In the post game show Ozzie said McCarthy is now going to the right handed set up man, Huzzah!, and glad to see he featured his curve (even if it was only 1 or two times). If McCarthy gets back on track thats 4 Solid arms out of the pen, i can live with that.
