  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 05:07 PM) Fans have been calling him that for years Really?
  2. .... This team is just so f***ing predictable.
  3. Jones has 6 HRs and only 9 RBIs. Ugh. We need some OBP.
  4. I'm feeling a PK DP here.. prove me wrong :
  5. Just brutal. Beckham on pace for over a 100 K's this season.
  6. Gordon just doesn't look right up there either. That frightens me the most. I hope Walker hasn't gotten a hold of him...
  7. Gotta be tough for Peavy: he leaves the Padres, and they have more wins than us now.
  8. And just like that, down 1. Come on offense, please can we just win a single god damn series?
  9. Hahaha, double play. This team rocks so hard, I can't even believe it.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 04:43 PM) Yes. Man, what a dominant family. Don't care if none of them were good, having 4 professional athletes in 2 spots is crazy.
  11. Is that guy related to the same Tuiasosopo family that had a ton of guys in the NFL?
  12. Really glad I started Fister. Mowing us DOWN!
  13. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 02:45 PM) That's becaus Ozzie and Kenny (maybe just Oz) don't believe in OBP but speed and grinders instead. Definitely Kenny and Ozzie.
  14. QUOTE (scenario @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 02:50 PM) You make a good point. Now having seen Q in both left and right... if he's going to play the field, they should definitely play him where he'll do the least damage... which suggests moving him back to left. If both Jones and Quentin are playing corners during a game, there is absolutely no good reason to play Quentin at the more challenging defensive position. If I were managing, I'd install Jones as my regular right fielder... and have Quentin DH and occasionally play LF. I think most people would do this, but unfortunately for us Sox fans, Ozzie isn't most people.
  15. Just heard his interview. Basically, Jake said that when he got to Spring Training, Coop and the staff tried to "fix" his mechanics. He said that he tried to do some new things in the first few starts that weren't working out, and after watching some tape, Coop and him realized that he just isn't the kind of pitcher that uses perfect mechanics. He's going to try to go back to what he did in '07 and his 8 years with the Padres. I guess he's the Favre of baseball. Awesome at what he does, but no one should try to emulate his mechanics.
  16. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 08:46 PM) 2-1 Figgins with a double to RF. Still nobody out. And the floodgates have opened. Here they come!
  17. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 08:41 PM) Ok, now that we scored 2 runs, it's time to surrender 10. /green. Fixed.
  18. Oh nevermind, I'm starting Fister, their pitcher tomorrow. Good, I hope we crush this guy!
  19. Of course CQ hits a HR in his first AB after I bench him in fantasy, and of course the M's pitcher gives up 2 homers in his first start for me. Maybe that's why we're losing. I have like 5 Sox players on my team.
  20. It just wouldn't be White Sox baseball with the solo shot.
  21. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 08:29 PM) walk a guy hitting .118 Speaking of him.. I feel like every time I see his name, hes on a new team.
