  1. Their pitcher has some decent stats. I picked him up to start tonight in my fantasy leagues.
  2. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 10:39 AM) Bulls and Hawks in the post-season has that effect. Oh right, those two sports I don't watch. I kind of forgot about that. Makes sense.
  3. The way Kenny put this team together has really made me appreciate Ted Thompson more. I used to not like him much, but he builds his team through solid drafting and scouting and not overpaying on free agents. So, thanks Kenny, for this!
  4. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 09:56 AM) What channel is it on tonight? Because it sucked being on CSN+2bAlternateCLTV channel 3289 or whatever the hell channel it was on last night. Why can't more games just be on CSN? I don't get CSN+ or CSN+2 or WCIU and I feel over 50% of the games have been on those channels already!
  5. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 09:09 AM) -New league with more real hitters -Stadium where mistakes are badly exposed -He was never as good as many here thought Bolded statements are complete horses***.
  6. There's no doubt in my mind that this team appears down. Something just isn't clicking and everyone is slumping at the same time. I don't know if anything can really fix this, except some good luck, some good swings, and some patience.
  7. Omar Vizquel needs to never, ever sniff the lineup at the 2 spot for this team to achieve anything. AJ should never bat higher than 7th. 5th? For a guy with under .500 OPS?
  8. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 11:07 PM) Yah I guess that's true. Man this sucks. How much does Miguel Cabrera make? Now there is a guy that is earning his salary. And who knows if he'd be hitting .321 with the plethora of s*** around him in our lineup.
  9. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:38 PM) Shields out there in a blowout with 110 pitches.. wtf? Nevermind, GameDay was just slow with all the position changes.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:29 PM) We talk about the lack of offense, but check out the current ERAs from the greatest rotation ever assembled: Buehrle 4.56 Floyd 9.00 Garcia 8.10 Peavy 7.66 Oh man, that made me throw up in my mouth a bit. At least Danks is pitching out of his mind right now. Hopefully, when he falls back to earth a bit, some of the other guys start pitching better as well. I don't even want to think about what happens if these guys keep this up all year.. I don't think they all will though.
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:18 PM) We've got a guy hitting .105 with no speed or power hitting 2nd in the lineup. Which other team in MLB would do that? .348 OPS. Most teams have 1 guy with a higher average than that.
  12. Williams needs to stop getting so lucky. We all know this guy is here til his ERA is 7+, and he's only giving up other peoples runs.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 09:41 PM) Seriously, STFU people. You are the same guys that were busy talking about how awful Floyd was last year and what a joke of a pitcher he was too when he started rough. Give it a rest people. You are ruining the game thread. The Sox ruined this game thread, and many others, by being bad.
  14. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 09:20 PM) Look at the replay if you have a chance -- when AJ doesn't throw to first Peavy seems to turn around quickly and slam his glove against his other hand. It's obvious he was pissed at AJ. I can't watch the game.. I don't have "CSN+2" in my parts. Just following it on GameDay.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 09:19 PM) He pitched awful in that Cleveland game, but had like 10 balls hit right at his defenders. His stuff is better tonight than in the first 3 starts, but he's just not fooling anyone. His K rate has to be awful. He's got 5 K's tonight.
  16. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 09:15 PM) That's complete crap from Hawk and Stone. AJ had time to take one step to his left and create an angle. It's disgusting how they excused that. And I suppose Peavy threw a tantrum on the mound because he agreed with AJ, right? He was just being overly cautious; afraid to throw it away. He threw a tantrum on the mound?
  17. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 09:11 PM) the difference in the AL NL is alot bigger than people realize IMO This has NOTHING to do with the AL-NL unless Peavy is a f***ing wuss and let's that get to his head. He's no where near the zone, and it wouldn't matter if he was pitching for us or for the Pirates.
