QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) No, he was 0-4 with 4 strikeouts. Oh double awesome!
-
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) It was a Loretta double with the bases loaded. Good, then I can watch Sportscenter tonight, and I won't have to listen to a slurp-down of Big Papi! CLUTH CLUTH CLUTH BEST HITTER EVER MOVE OVER TED WILLIAMS!
-
QUOTE(Capn12 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) I'm confused as to what you are basing this off of. Even the most adamant Pods supporters have come to the conclusion that he is bad...'not many' willing to admit it? Everyone in this thread is just like me, ready to jump all over Pods. I'm not talking about SoxTalk posters when I say that, for the most part. It's the White Sox fans who aren't very informed, and think Podsednik is some kind of golden god.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:28 PM) They changed the rule a couple of years ago. If they tie it up or take the lead the game is suspended and will be resumed from the point it left off. Oh sweet. Sounds good then, COME ON JOE! God damn, it looks like there is going to be a hurricane. Alright, game over.
-
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:28 PM) Boston comes back to win it 6-5 in the 9th. Let me guess.... Big Papi?
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:27 PM) Are you sure it reverts? I don't think that's necessarily accurate. No, I have no idea. But they can't call it complete without the Royals getting their last ABs, so what would happen? Would it just continue at a later time? I thought they don't do that.
-
Even if he hits a homer though, the game will still be over, unless we get 3 quick outs right? It will revert to the last full inning played? If so, the Royals will damn well make sure their gloves are tight, after every pitch.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:24 PM) A lot of posters, Ozzie, Kenny, the media, Hawk, DJ, etc. Ah, I agree. Podsednik is bad, but not many are willing to admit it.
-
If he hangs any kind of pitch, this game is tied.
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:22 PM) That's true. Pods will get a free pass again for unknown reasons. Do you mean by us SoxTalk posters? Or by Ozzie and Kenny?
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:21 PM) Yep....I didn't know Politte was Hispanic? Hey, I just threw Widger on there too.
-
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) What I fail to understand is all along KW stated that McCarthy was the 6th starter and anticipated, because of 2005's workload, that the starters would need a break during the course of the season. Except for Contreras hitting the DL a couple of months ago, there have been no breaks, in fact I think the Sox still lead the league in starter's innings. So if you were worried about the toll last year, haven't rested them this year, and still lead the league in starter's innings, why do you insist on stretching the starters game after game when even idiots like me can see what is going to happen? It's sickening to see it continueing to happen, in what seems like every loss we have. We ALL say the starter should come out (on the game thread) and then Ozzie leaves him in, and then they give up the hit/run and we all complain. It's tiring.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) I'm really angry that Pods gets chance after chance after chance. I'm really angry that Javy gets chance after chance after chance. I'm really angry that Freddy gets chance after chance after chance. I'm really angry that Politte got chance after chance after chance. I'm really angry that Widger got chance after chance after chance. Notice a pattern? I do.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) Jimmy Gobble needs to learn how to wear baseball pants :P :P
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) Giving up 4 earned to the Royals doesnt make me feel too good when he faces the Yanks at home in the heat. Agreed, it's going to be fun to watch for the Yanks fans I guess.
-
gosh darn, if Brian got on, Uribe could have made this game ours. I knew he would too, hes pissed from that spiffty error.
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) Yeah, it's called "managing," and it's not a special situation for Ozzie. It's how every manager is seen. Completely agree, except in the case of the Packers. Mike Sherman sucked, period. If they won, it was the team, if they lost, Sherman was an idiot.
-
And B-mac on again, with runners on. Who wants to bet atleast one scores? Make me eat some crow, Brandon.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:06 PM) Some pathetic managing here. At this point in the game, Garcia had absolutely no reason to still be in this game. Honestly, I am so tired of hearing this. It seems like everyday, Ozzie finds a way to make a terrible move. I want them to install an online, fan-managing system similar to what the Flyers did in Schaumburg. We'd win so many more games, or atleast have a chance to.
-
Okay, THAT has to be the offical dagger.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) Bingo. We played down in the juicebox and dropped 2 out of 3. They went down to the juice box and won 2 out of 3. We play the royals and we lose games here and there. They play the royals and have lost one. These are some of the reason that we are looking up at a 8 1/2 game lead right now. Thank you.
-
QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:00 PM) [Your quotes] He was talking about Detroit vs. Tampa, and us vs. Tampa, or atleast he makes it seem that way, since he was responding to a post about Detroit looking bad against Tampa. Go back and check it out if you are confused.
-
And that COULD be the dagger. That latest radar shows we're playing with like, minutes left.
-
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:58 PM) No I was going to but someone posted it in a gamethread. Oh really? I didn't see it.
-
QUOTE(SoxnGiants @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 08:57 PM) WE HAVEN"T LOST YET. Holy fish you guys are thick. THe first poster implied thet Det would win 2 of three while we woudl lose 2 of three. FALSE - no matter what happens tonight. Um, no one said that. They were talking about the series (plural) against the Rays.
