Brandon Allen had 3-hits; John Shelby had 2-hits; and so did Fernando Hernandez. Allen now has an 8-game hitting streak going!! And he's 5-10 in the last two games. Kannapolis is playing a doubleheader. They lost the first game 3-1. Rice went the distance (6 innings), but got no run support. Kanny only got 2 hits. Rice only gave up 1 hit. Both the Tigers and Tribe made similar moves today to shake up their teams. The Tigers DFA'd Jacque Jones and are moving Sheffield to left. They're calling up a AAA outfielder, Matt Joyce, to fill the roster spot. The Indians are releasing Jason Michaels and called up Ben Franciso from Buffalo. Both Jones and Michaels are hitting in the same vicinity (.200 or below) as Uribe.
