QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 18, 2010 -> 07:55 PM) Something I threw together for www.sendlebrontochicago.com ... link I saw this on FB. Didn't know it was you that did it though. Nice work sir.

I'd still take him, but he's got some maturity issues to take care of. IIRC, didn't he get into it with the front office over wanting to get his hair cut or something of that sort?

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ May 18, 2010 -> 01:27 AM) Wait a sec... Lyoto didn't just have one good performance, his entire career has been nothing but superb performances. He was in a very close fight with Shogun the first fight and then he changed his style in the second fight and got KTFO for it. That doesn't mean he was overhyped. I don't know how you could watch him execute his style and feel he is/was overhyped. Fedor should abolish Overeem. People are thinking that because Fedor had some issues with Rogers' size that Overeem, being better than Rogers and also big, would test Fedor. But Fedor would do what he always does and school Overeem. I actually think Overeem is an easier fight for Fedor than a rematch with Rogers would be since Overeem is going to fight Fedor's fight and Rogers in a rematch probably wouldn't. My guess would be that Rogers would try to use his one advantage (size) against Fedor. Alistair would just stand there and let Fedor KTFO him because as talented a kickboxer he is, he's not quick enough to utilize his reach and there's no way he'd be able to stop Fedor from coming inside and raping him. I mean, why do you think Coker is saying that even if Fedor wins he may not get Overeem? Coker doesn't want another Shields situation where the champ takes the belt and bolts. Coker is starting to act a lot more like a real promoter instead of that happy-go-lucky "we just wanna give back to the fans" guy he had been portraying himself as. Arlovski looked terrible. I mean, if your gameplan is to outbox a dude, and you know you have very little in the way of power and you're looking for the decision, then for the love of God don't just stand in front of the guy and take power shots left and right. The AA with Roach would have annihilated the AA that fought Bigfoot. The same AA that fought Fedor or Rothwell would have torn the Strikeforce AA a new asshole and then used it as a hat. It's sad what has happened to that dude. I think Fedor ate his soul or something. Jacare is just so fun to watch. He's one of those dudes that fans of athletes just fall in love with. The things that guy can do... Okay, sounding gay now... Isn't Babalu next for King Mo? Maybe not, but I thought they mentioned him or something. Agree on Roger, but all that will take time. It's just nice to see a Gracie get a televised win for a big US promotion. Agree on Strikeforce's production too, and really everything including the entrances as well. The video packages are also weak. I can't stand Gus Johnson either. I do like the thing they do with the main events where they play the gong sound and hit the lights. It's a nice touch and I'm happy they keep doing it. I'm not saying that he isn't good. But he was overhyped a bit. From hearing the sound clip of "Welcome to the Machida era" to people saying he's gonna hold onto the title for a long time. People were in awe over the fact that he used a karate base IMO.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ May 17, 2010 -> 11:00 PM) Just wondering, but where are all these Overeem ballsuckers coming from? He is what he is. I haven't even bothered reading anything on any MMA boards because on the UG theres like a thousand threads about how Fedor is scared and Overeem's better than Brock, yadda yadda yadda. Everyone and their mother knew Overeem-Rogers was going to be a short night for one of them, and it was Overeem who dominated. I mean I like the guy, and he's exciting, and he's legit, but what did he do that makes anyone in the world think he can hang with the most elite? I really didn't see anything to be honest. I saw a guy who put Brett Rogers in trouble and then Rogers couldn't defend. And while Rogers is a legit opponent, I really really really really doubt that there are only a handful of guys in the world who could make Brett Rogers look that bad. I think there are at least 5 in the UFC alone, and Strikeforce also has a couple. And who knows elsewhere. My main impressions on that show though were that Jacare continues to look like a beast athletically and that AA really needs to cut the s*** and get back with Freddy Roach because he didn't look like a Mixed Martial Artist and he damn sure didn't look like a boxer either. AA couldn't have beaten Kimbo that night. I call it overhyping from a good performance syndrome (see Machida, Lyoto). Not saying that Lyoto or Overeem aren't any good, but until they face the elite I don't buy the hype. Overeem didn't defend the title in like 2-3 years, we'll see how he does against Fedor (if it happens). Other belated Strikeforce thoughts.... Either Silva looked really good or Arlovski looked really bad. I can't decide. I just know that Arlovski's career is falling HARD. Jacare should improve on the cardio, but he should be able to handle his own in SF's 185 division. Feijao also looked good, I wouldn't be surprised if he's up next for King Mo. Gracie needs more stand up work. BAD. Only spending 20% of his camp working on stand up is far too little. Lastly, Strikeforce's production SUCKS. Commentary sucks & they don't show undercards. Not seeing the undercards doesn't really bother me but if they're trying to build new stars then they should show at least one if they have the time. Rampage/Rashad next weekend.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 17, 2010 -> 10:28 AM) I understand why the iO owner could be upset cause her business will have to be moved for a while. However, all this talk about the "feel and look" of the neighborhood cracks me up. From about Grace to Roscoe, Clark St. is nothing but a baseball stadium, a McDonalds, and a s***load of bars. If you walk down there anytime after a Cubs game or a weekend night, there is nothing but drunks roaming the street and garbage along the curbs and sidewalks. The only reason you live there and your property is worth so much is because of that stadium and the team, so shut the hell up. You forgot about the Taco Bell. Not that I care but since they get about $5 bucks from me about once a week, I thought it should be important.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 17, 2010 -> 06:56 PM) Am I the only one that forgot about the western conference finals? The playoff scheduling is pathetic. I thought you only got bye weeks in the NFL? I don't even remember what Nash and Kobe look like. Agreed. It's what happens when David Stern lets $$$ dictate when these games go on.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ May 17, 2010 -> 10:55 AM) A source is denying it, but I would bet Calipari and his "group" are part of the package with Lebron. I'm betting the Bulls end up with Cal as coach and Lebron on the roster. If the Bulls sign and trade Deng, I think Miami and Chicago will be fighting for Joe Johnson as their SG. As for Spoelstra, he is basically a 16 year old kid that was given a Ferrari as his first car. He is a good defensive coach, but he has no clue on the offensive end, and is having trouble in the leadership and in-game strategies roles so far. He will eventually grow into a good NBA coach, but you just can't pair him with 3 max free-agents next year. I hated when Riley stepped in for Van Gundy a few years ago, but I acknowledge the Heat need him as coach for a few years. I think both Miami and Chicago will end up as major contenders next year when the dust settles. My guesses... Lebron to Chicago Bosh to Houston/Dallas Wade stays in Miami Lee to Miami Johnson to Miami A'mare stays in Phoenix Boozer to Knicks Haywood to Knicks for way too much money. I could see Ray Allen signing with Chicago for 2-3 years. I think if Deng is sign & traded it's gonna be for a max guy. So if it were to be the Bulls signing Lebron, I think they do it to get Wade or Bosh...maybe even Amar'e. I just don't see Joe Johnson as a good option to spend that kind of money on and IMO if you get Lebron & a good power forward this team can win a title with Kirk starting at the 2. Or whoever would come our way in the draft.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 15, 2010 -> 03:10 PM) Ricky Romero just bamboozled a very potent Texas offense. 9 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 12 K. I'm starting to wonder if Toronto can actually hang around in that brutal division. They'll be able to hang somewhat, but with Tampa & New York around they won't be doing much.

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:25 PM) I agree with Milkman, she doesn't even look like she has size E's to me either. She looks more like an A-cup. She also has no booty to speak of. You need your eyes checked sir. I'd say like a 32D.

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ May 13, 2010 -> 11:18 AM) While I do believe he's probably the best player in the NBA, it is not "by a wide margin" when you consider some other comparable star players. Kevin Durant? Kobe Bryant? Carmelo Anthony? You think he is better than those guys by a wide margin? Over Durant? Yes. Durant's a great scorer, but he needs to develop the rest of his game. Carmelo is my favorite player in the league & IMO the best pure scorer in the league but yeah Lebron's better all-around. Kobe's a great player. But I believe Lebron is better.

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:25 PM) Does anyone posting in this thread not want LeBron on the Bulls? The guy is a showboating egomaniac. I would rather give it a shot with Bosh or Wade as they aren't so f***ing obnoxious. I wouldn't miss the inevitable, unending comparisons of Jordan-James either. This is what I think. A lot of people "hate" Lebron but if he was on your team you'd love him. As well as all of the stuff that makes him an "egomaniac" etc. all of the other BS that people complain about. The guy has fun playing ball. Who cares if he has his little routine & dancing & handshakes. If you wanna stop him from doing it, then beat him.

I find Katy Perry very attractive. Is she #1 on my list? Nah. Then again this is one of those who's hot in the sense of publicity & buzz as well as being hot looks wise lists.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ May 10, 2010 -> 07:55 PM) So there's rumors that Mike Woodson could be fired by Atlanta after this series, would he be a candidate you'd like to see the Bulls go after? He's been horribly outcoached by SVG this series though. Would I? Nope.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 9, 2010 -> 01:28 AM) At the store yes, at a bar no. Actually, in Chicago they are about $3.50, and are rip offs there. Anywho, I was drinking those at a bar here on campus, and after 4 of them I was feeling gooooood. Oh, gotcha. Yeah, I've been to bars in Chicago that charge $6 for a 40. I don't drink em fast enough to warrant paying that much, they end up getting kinda warm towards the end & it bugs the s*** outta me. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 9, 2010 -> 10:33 AM) Well the reason it's a good sign is because if gay guys are checking you out, it usually means you are atleast semi in vogue and you are generally good looking. This. Going to an art school where about 30-40% of the male students are gay, you'll know quickly if you've got it going on or not.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 9, 2010 -> 01:27 AM) the Stout match was good and the Pedigree into the RNC by Belcher was quite entertaining I downloaded a torrent, so I'll check out a few of the other bouts when I get home from work tonight.
