  1. Really good to see the boys snap a 10 game losing streak in Toronto. Let's keep it rolling!
  2. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) If the Bulls go 0-2, would the Raptors have to go 1-1? Yep, because as it stands the Bulls are 1 up. So if they end up tied, it goes to Toronto.
  3. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 06:15 PM) Anyone wanna sum up what Toronto is looking like this year? I watched them a bit in the series against Texas. They look good, but it's also early. Hopefully Peavy can shut them down tomorrow.
  4. When the White Sox hit more than 1 home run: 2-0 When the White Sox do not hit multiple home runs: 0-4
  5. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 02:14 AM) No one, not even interns, should ever work for free. Period. I've turned down internships because they were unpaid and I didn't believe in doing work without getting paid for it in return. School is for learning and jobs is for generating income, students shouldn't have to burden themselves by having to work for free just to fullfill some academic requirement. Some people like me would have to keep our old jobs just so we can do unpaid internships on the side, and even then doing an unpaid internship wouldn't be worth it. I agree, but when you need one to graduate (such as myself) you really don't have a choice. On the bright side, it counts as a class so I have that extra time during the week to commit to the internship.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 12:50 PM) Oh, yes! The privilege to get swept by the Cavs is on the line! They're few things more meaningless in sports than making the playoffs as a 7th/8th seed in the NBA. And the local stations and papers out here actually have the audacity to be hyping this game up. This isn't exactly game 6 of the 1998 NBA finals. Agreed. I'd much rather this team lose instead of winning & getting swept by the LeBrons in the 1st round.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 10:54 AM) Tiger doesn't have a history of coming back from big deficits on Sundays though. In most of his wins, he already had the lead on the final day. If Phil or Westwood can just have an average day, it could be hard for El Tigre to make it up. Oh, he doesn't?
  8. I'm gonna start from the beginning of the night & work up since I've got quite a bit to say about the whole Silva debacle. -I know it's early, but I like Phil Davis a lot. A lot of people are talking Jon Jones as the future of the 205 division, but I'd have to think that Phil's close behind him. At least talent wise. -Munoz survived an ass kicking to win that one. Grove's just got too many holes in his game. -Eitm wanted to get his Jiu-Jitsu on & paid for it. -Renzo looked BAD. Hughes didn't look great either, we watched a sparring exhibition with this one. It's about time they both ride off into the sunset. -I scored the fight for Penn. I gave him rounds 1, 2 & 4. The fightmetric stats gave BJ the fight 49-47. But honestly, I don't have much of a beef with it. BJ just seemed off like something was wrong. His corner told him to go for a takedown, but BJ wasn't having it. I'd really like to know what was going on. Although, the only beef I do have was with the judge who gave every round to Edgar. What the hell was he watching? Either way, Edgar stuck to his gameplan & it worked for him. It's a damn shame that it's gonna be overshadowed by a guy who decided to dance in the cage all night.... -Maia earned my respect, he was willing to fight. -Here's the thing with Silva, I don't mind when he shows off a bit. I like some showmanship. But then it got to the point where I wanted to see him get his face caved in. Silva made a mockery of this fight. I don't know what he's trying to prove, but it's bulls***. If he's so talented & he wanted to punish Maia, then he would of finished him off in the 1st. Setting up a fight with GSP that would do HUGE numbers. Basically it's like this for me, I was a huge Silva fan when I got into MMA, tonight I hand in my fan club card. I have no interest watching him defend that title anymore. You can't make the argument that he's the best P4P...maybe in ability, but not in performance. I'll take Fedor or GSP for that. I much rather have a Brock Lesnar who plays up the bad guy role than someone like Silva who looks like he could give a f*** what happens in the octagon. I give this card a C-.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 02:13 PM) VDN and Forman are at odds over Noah's minutes. Here's what I don't get. If Forman's the GM, then why'd he have to call Pax in order to get the ok? This team's f***ed. I totally see the Bulls getting no big name in FA this summer.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 12:46 PM) Anybody see highlights of David Price last night? Only word that comes to mind is "electric." He was topping out at 97 MPH last night. He had every pitch in his arsenal workin' for him. I watched a bit of the game last night, he made A-Rod & Cano look silly on back to back AB's
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 11:49 PM) So in the people of Wal-Mart theme... our teller tonight got into a conversation about bad customers... at which time she proceded to inform us that "black people are the worst, they think they own the place" To which I replied... "Don't even get me started on the Jews..." She shut up pretty quick. It was excellent. Well played sir.
  12. Well ump, thanks for squeezing Pena there. f***er.
  13. Oh. My. God. I don't have a good feeling about the rest of this game.
  14. I'd like to think that Teahen is due. Prove me right!
  15. This hasn't been a bad inning at all, I'd like to see Paulie keep it going though.
  16. I expected Lucy to bunt there but I'll take it.
  17. Cinnamon Toast Crunch & Frosted Flakes.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 08:52 AM) Vernon Wells is 5/7 with 3 HR and 6 RBI. We'll see if this keeps up...
