  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 12:04 PM) I always knew Mark was a cancer. The thought actually occurred to me that he might be too happy go lucky for some clubhouses. But I have no idea what he is like on a losing team. Maybe he isn't all jokes and smiles.
  2. QUOTE (gatnom @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 11:18 PM) I'm just saying that he's been the same player for the last few seasons: below average offensively, above average defensively. He's basically halfway between his worst full season and his best full season right now. I guess he can get credit for staying the same? Since May 1st he has been hitting the ball well. Above average. I find that so encouraging that I think he deserves half credit. Its arguable though.
  3. QUOTE (gatnom @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 11:06 PM) I think you're being a little generous to Beckham here. Hard not to love the team being in first place, though. Beckham had a good may and june. July is young. April sucked. He deserves at least half credit.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 08:44 PM) Top 5 Games: 1) 2-1 win over Tampa where Sale strikes out 15 and Dunn hits 2 run homer 2) Humber perfect game 3) First game of Yankees series where Viciedo hit 3 run homer in 9th 4) First game vs Cubs this year where Konerko got hit, Beckham homered, Wood retired 5) Tigers game where Dunn homers off of Valverde, Reed era as closer begins I really enjoyed the 19-2 game against rangers last week. Doesn't beat any of your 5 though.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 06:26 PM) That made me smile as well. Good line. The thread should be retitled: "Let's ride Ozzie's ass for quitting on the White Sox and having good for nothing kids." I have to say, I might rethink my position stated earlier in this thread - that ozzie forced the sox to trade him by purposely playing under-performing players and sitting capable ones to spite KW. He seems to be sticking with under-performing players now without any reason. Maybe he is just a terrible manager to employ, especially on a team with under-performing vets.
  6. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) I always wondered how the personal accomplishments work in this situation, does both Peavy and Wilson get an All star team appearance in their resume? I believe so.
  7. I saw him warming up once, but never saw him pitch.
  8. I think Dayan is going to have a huge second half and losing him for a starting pitcher would be a mixed blessing at best this season, and extremely short sighted beyond that.
  9. QUOTE (Fenway @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 10:31 PM) Can we have Youk back please? What are you guys doing with Zach Stewart? Starting in AAA?
  10. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 01:36 AM) The first thing I think of Bobby is 2005. The second thing I think of Bobby was when he retired 41 straight (is that still a record?) (What year was it ? 08?) The third thing I think of Bobby was that damn game in Minnesota. Buehrle broke that record during the stretch that included his perfect game and next game.
  11. Lol. He was their best arm tonight.
  12. "What is this oliver twist? Am i the artful dodger? No.' Hahaha. I like farmer.
  13. This team is hitting the s*** out of the ball again. I cant think of a cold hitter on the team.
  14. Thats how you turn a tough game around.
  15. A bomb here would be much appreciated,
