  1. I think the point is....the discussion is only warranted, because we HAVE to send one of them down. Neither of them are being written off completely, now. But, one provides more value than the other, to this point. A guy's "stayability" shouldn't be tied to JUST which side he swings from.
  2. Graveman falling victim to the infamous White Sox 8th inning fun.
  3. Pollock out here uppercutting the hell out of the ball.
  4. Yep, exactly. We're talking a guy who has lived on the IL, but has a lot more value over 'being left handed'. We already have Gavin Sheets on the roster, 100%, with the exception of which side of the plate he swings from.
  5. Definitely an argument to be made, I still feel like Burger has WAY more value though. Not like we're hitting from EITHER side very well, so Burger's position flexibility over Gavin's, probably would win out to me. Leury needs to be the middle infield utility guy, let Jake have 3rd and emergency others.
  6. What an outing, Mr. Cease. 7 fantastic innings, against a pretty good hitting team. Love the way Cease is evolving as a TOR guy.
  7. Cease, gracious man....out here ace'ing the Fish man!
  8. Only 2 guys left, under the Mendoza line, at least in the current lineup.
  9. Grandal still the guy who wants to take walks, and not the guy who drives runs in.
  10. 6th inning is still Cease's biggest undoing, even this year so far. I'm hoping he gets past it, to get farther into games, and turn that corner.
  11. I mean, lets not forget we're still sitting at a whopping 4 hits today, 3 by Luis. So...it'd be nice to start hitting, still.
  12. Nothing better than appealing a swing/no swing on a pitch that was an easy strike call, regardless.
  13. Eloy would have died on that last hit ball, no doubt there would have been a collision.
  14. How good is the offense right now? 3 guys have an OPS over 655, and one of those just got sent down to AAA (small sample size alert).
  15. Cano and his 2 BBs, would be 6th on our roster in walks. Our inability to take a walk is astounding.
  16. Cano is 39 already? Sheesh, where does the time go.
  17. Vaughn with another day off, guess the hand is a bit more painful than expected.
  18. I still think Harrison can be serviceable, and worth the money paid to him. But you have to think, the writing is on the wall for Keuchel. You have Cueto and Velasquez who can do roughly the same every 5th day, at a fraction of the cost that Keuchel has attached to him. AND, I think it is safe to say BOTH have more upside than DK at this point.
  19. Precedence was set, with the cutting of Danks and his 15.75 mil salary just 6 years ago. BUT, that team didn't have nearly the financial inflexibility that the 2022 roster has tied up. Good thing we also gave a multi year deal to a utility man, whom we already had a replacement for in the minors.
  20. OK, well he has to do it against Tepera, instead of Raisel. C'mon Gavin.
  21. Uh, I came back to a game it seems! Can we get Sheets to get ANYTHING to drop?
  22. Another game turned off. Man, this is so frustrating to watch right now, knowing what we thought we'd see this season.
  23. McGuire has started 4 of the last 5 games. Nowhere on a competitive team, should that be the case. And it isn't like we're even resting Grandal, either. I really don't understand what the process is, for this organization.
