Close. Before today, he had gone 7 or more in 6 of the last 9 games.
Let's not make out like Q is the victim totally, either. You CAN'T continue to labor through 5 innings, with a s***ty bullpen, and wonder why you aren't getting wins. 116 pitches for 15 outs is abysmal, but seems to be the norm for Quintana.

And that's that. So we go from having a good shot to sweep a 4 game series from a dead Red Sox team, to splitting at best, and wasting a great Sale effort.
We've had our share of guys in the rotation, over the years, who didn't get proper run support...but I can't remember it being this bad, in quite some time.
