  1. 17 for 100 with RISP now, a cool .170
  2. What a major league caliber bench that is!
  3. I don't think anyone will argue that Gavin has done a better job over his career, vs. Axelrod...but it has little to do with who is performing now, in the 2013 season. Gavin looked absolutely dreadful his last time out, and with a pretty bad team overall offensively, it is about what have you done for me lately, and who gives me the best chance to not lose a game in the now.
  4. Do Gavin's 2007-2012 stats impact his next start? Right now, it is about who gives this team the best chance to win a game, something that isn't happening much with an anemic offense. That person is not Gavin Floyd, as of this moment.
  5. Pitcher #1 : 0-3, 6.32 ERA, 15.2 IP, 22 H, 11 ER, 3 HR allowed, 7 BB, 18 K's, 1.85 WHIP Pitcher #2 : 0-1, 4.70 ERA, 15.1 IP, 17 H, 8 ER, 2 HR allowed, 7 BB, 9 K's, 1.57 WHIP Who deserves the bump for one start?
  6. Right now, sad as it is, Axe > Gavin. Skip Floyd.
  7. Kepp really having a great start to his 2013 season.
  8. If I told you that we had a team ERA of 3.48, Alexei hitting over 300, Rios crushing the ball, and a closer who hadn't blown a save all year, I doubt you'd think this team was about to be 7-10, with no offensive abilities at all, terrible with RISP, etc.
  9. Lol. This team, you can't help but laugh..
  10. You pinch run with a guy who not only didn't make any effort to steal, but in fact, was completely lost on the pitcher's movement to home/first. So we lost PK for a stationary runner...
  11. So no PK, and no one except Rios left in the line up.
  12. If we lose to our pen getting beat on good pitches, so be it. But damn, don't give it to them with walks.
  13. Why the F*&K are we walking a 2 for 43 hitter???????????????
  14. 6 walks to this team so far.
  15. Only the Cubs have fewer hits with RISP, and that will probably change tonight.
  16. 17 for 99 now, with RISP...
  17. Dumbass pitcher, lol. Make it hurt, someone.
  18. Great effort with the bats today, against the dominating Vance Worley!
  19. Bad thing is, Peavy really did have good stuff today. Lots of movement on everything. And we get him a whole 1 run, on a leadoff solo homer.
  20. He said 22,000.
  21. It's official!! At exactly .100 for the season. Let's see, that is $2.5 million per hit so far this season, great deal.
  22. I have NO problem whatsoever with the money spent on Keppinger so far, compared to the absolute monstrosity of an abomination that Adam Dunn is.
  23. We are such an offensive machine in 2013.
  24. Making his way towards sub .100, go Adam!
  25. Going to be another short outing at this rate, Peavy throws WAY too many pitches. Now at 59 through 3 innings.
