Brian Anderson
Well, Mack is a pretty fluid OFer in his own right, and normally, has a much shorter swing. We have enough long, loopy swings in the lineup, and even though I'm a pretty big BA fan, I'm all for playing the guy that is getting on base. They both play damn good defense.

No Witty Title
One good offensive season and now Crede is a god-like third baseman...alrighty then. He is gonna walk, regardless, so maybe we should start the feelers out on him now. And who exactly is going to come in and play CF from the organization if we trade BA at an all time low?

Erstad/Anderson MEGAThread
Ozzie gets a lifetime of pardons apparently from some, because he was fortunate enough to be managing one of, if not THE best pitching performance in the postseason. How hard is it to manage a pitching staff that is throwing CGs, and dominating? I mean seriously, take off the Ozzie love glasses, and you may notice that he is not able to walk on water. His managing style follows no logic or sense at all. Tell me again, what does grindErstad bring to this team that we didn't have already in a cheaper, faster, younger version? Oh its ok, he has those 'intangibles'..I'm sorry.

White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/18/07 (W) ~Buehrle No-Hitter~
Crede is absolutely atrocious....just terrible at the plate, and recently, with defense too. For f***s sake, do SOMETHING Erstad

White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/18/07 (W) ~Buehrle No-Hitter~
Yeah well, Buehrle will have to hit for himself if he wants some run support to go with his outing.

Down and away, automatic K. Maybe that should be our teams slogan for '07

White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/17/07 (L)
This teams hitting f***ing sucks, its a disgrace to even waste time watching...theres no nice way to put it. Don't give me the cold weather bulls***.....give me some guys that look like they have half a goddamn clue at the plate.

White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/17/07 (L)
I just got in from 20 hours of travel from the UK. I see Prancer hits the DL, we still can't hit for s***, defense is a thing of the past, and grindErstad is a useless roster spot. Nothing changed since yesterday!

Brian Anderson and winter ball again...
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 12:47 PM) Thank you. We just gave up eight earned runs in three games to Cleveland and lost two out of three. There is no excuse for that. The offense has been terrible, and its the guys who get paid the big money who have been leading the flop parade. Its sad, but Pods and Uribe have been our best hitters. Thome has put up some "numbers", but it has been pretty much been from the Sammy Sosa school of hitting when the pressure is off. The bit about Thome isn't true. Read the numbers from Kalapse.

Brian Anderson and winter ball again...
How is Thome still getting lumped in with the cesspool of hitting known as Crede/Dye/Konerko? Thome is hitting .294, a silly .455 OBP, 10 walks in 34 ABs, and all this against a s***ton of lefties so far. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 12:36 PM) Has anyone actually looked at Thome's stats thus far this season? Always 30 seconds ahead of me!! Foiled again!

Brian Anderson and winter ball again...
QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 11:49 AM) At the plate, no. But what about in the field? Why do people often forget entirely about defense? Defense doesn't matter. Just as those that want the CF to be a position of power if they'd like us to go pick up Carl Everett again, throw him back out in CF. That was a fun experiment now, wasn't it.
-
Sympathy, action are in short supply
QUOTE(Wealz @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 08:41 PM) Truth be told, Anderson was never a blue chip prospect. He's 25 and has been awful at the plate in 400 career AB's. He'd be worth starting in CF if the Sox rebuilding in the hopes that he'd turn into a useful player by the time he's 27. Surely 400 ABs is enough to decide the fate of ANY ballplayer in the majors, too.

Sympathy, action are in short supply
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 08:29 PM) What the f*** has Anderson done? Erstad looks better in the field, has an actual approach at the plate, and is able to do the small things. BA isnt up to snuff in any of those categories right now. Does that approach include bouncing out to the second baseman over and over?
