I see how this is going to go, much like it does a lot for Dylan:
High pitch count means he'll be gone after 5. The offense will still be useless, not adding any runs, and Cease will depart with the slimmest of leads. The bullpen will waste no time in giving that run back to SF, forcing Cease into yet another No Decision.
Webb is on a clock, too. If he just slows things down, to give time for the TO, that may or may not be acknowledged, it can be a violation on him.
TA just needs to cry less, make sure TO is observed from the ump. Things are different this year.
Not sure you can set the precedent with not sending Beni on a deeper hit, a guy with faster speed, and then completely 180 the next hitter, with Paul Konerko Jr running the bases.
WTF is this 3rd base coach doing? You don't send a faster Beni on a play he's going to score on, then you send AV on a much more shallow ball?
C'mon man...
How sad is the organization overall, when everyone knows that the only suitable player at AAA if needed, is now up, 5 days into the season? Any other injuries, and we have absolutely nothing to replace them with.
Cease definitely loves pitching during the day, based on his 2022 performances:
Man, the sad thing, looking at that, is he actually got saddled with 4 L's, while pitching to a 1.44 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. Sheesh.
