I have a feeling we may see a fight before this game is over. -

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 06:07 PM) Not that I mind your presence here -- I know there are some guys who get their bats jammed at the fact that you're here -- but aren't there Tigers sites for you to be on to ask this sort of question? Well I figure you guys (and gals) would more likely to watch then a Tigers fan neccessarily would, so I would be more likely find out here then at a Tigers board. -

Quick question, BBT isn't covering Clemens minor league start tonight are they? I saw they were showing him warming up before the break just now. (I realize it sounds ignorant, but just making sure I'll be able to see the game here) Nevermind I see they aren't. -
Yeah true, but still we won a series finally. And after winning just 1 game in each of our last 3 it's good to see.
-
Apparently not, they were saying it might have been something about his side. I take that back someone posted on a Tigers board that apparently it was a twisted ankle. Either way he seemed ok, as he was able to finish the game out.
-
Time will tell on that. They certainly have a powerful lineup as they've shown in this series.

Would take a lot now, Pudge hits a 2 run homer, to make it 10-5. QUOTE(Wolverine31 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) And Leyland says he's sticking with Jones and Rodney in the late innings through their struggles. He's such a stubborn old fool on this issue. How many games does Jones have to cost us and how high does Jones' ERA have to balloon to for him to make a switch. The current count is 4 and over 7.00. Even a blind man can see Jones is done but Dombrowski must have too much of an ego to admit he made a mistake signing this garbage pitcher and make a change, even if it costs the team the season. He came in and got a save today but it wasn't pretty as he had the tying runs on base before he managed to get 3 outs. You can't argue with the results though. He'll struggle some yes, but more often then not he'll still get the job done. And at the end of the day that's all that matters.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) I know the moderators of this site have said it's ok to post. I just want to know why you'd continue to waste your time on this board when people are telling you that we really don't care. There are some that don't care yes, but there are also those here that do, and it's because of them that I do post when I do. As for rubbing it in, what is there to rub in really? It's not like we're kicking butt anymore, last night was a perfect example of that. In fact we're lucky to even be in 1st at all right now.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) We are all using the Internet to use this board. That means we all have access to other scores. True, but you're probably a little too into the game currently going on to actually check the score yourself. Besides that those scores are often behind anyway. For those that are in that boat, I am here to keep them abreast of the goings on. As for me being a troll, that I am not. If I was I would be like this for each post: HOME RUN INGE! 3-0 TIGERS!, etc etc. Granted I did get a little carried away once when doing Tiger threads for a short time, but other then that I've done nothing wrong in my estimation.
-
I have posted in the past when we were losing. As for rubbing it in, I'm not doing that at all. All I'm doing is updating on the proceedings for those that are interested in what is going on.
-
Tigers off to a good start in Toronto, Inge hits a 3 run bomb. 3-0 Tigers, bottom 2.
-
True, but he's had a hand in blowing leads the last two times out. That's not good.

QUOTE(Wolverine31 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) Well the Tigers were leading the Jays 5-2 with 1 out in the 8th and then Fernando Rodney and Todd Jones allowed 8 consecutive batters to reach for a final score of Jays 10, Tigers 5. This had to be the worst loss of the season; a complete bullpen implosion. I wonder if Leyland will finally take Todd Jones out of the closers role now. I don't know how much more it will take; he's cost us 4 games this season, his ERA is 7.29, batters are hitting almost .400 off of him, he can't strike anyone out. He's not even a major league pitcher let alone a closer. What a joke. That whole inning was a joke. One question too for you Wolverine. You want Rodney as a closer now? I sure don't.

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) Looks like Tigerfan has had enough of the tigers. I see that he vanished from the "users reading this topic" now that the Tigers are getting their asses handed to them. I was actually watching in another room. Ugh what a disaster of an inning. Our bullpen absolutely has sucked the last 2 weeks. We've blown 6 games now since the Yankees series. 6! We don't even deserve 1st place playing like this! -

Yeah, I'll give you that point. -

I realize this isn't going to make any more popular around here (not that I was to begin with), but I'm going to agree with Jamie on this one. Not just in Chicago per se but at any sports event. People need to more mindful of what they do and say and how it can affect the people around them, particularly the younger people in attendance. -
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) What the hell was that? That was what you call a very weird double play, to say the least.
-
I thought it was sorta funny, since someone posted it before here, but one of our broadcasters just said: "Even a broken clock is right twice a day"
-
Garland is at 122 pitches right now.
-
Kinda surprised you still got Garland in. After last inning I would have thought he would be gone now.
