  1. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 08:55 PM) And the White Sox are still a much better team than the Tigers. Once the Tigers start playing real baseball teams again, they'll lose. They are just great at beating bad teams, so I give them that. Last I checked, St. Louis isn't that bad a team. Sure it may look it the way you guys destroyed them, but they're better then you may think.
  2. QUOTE(CardsJimEdmonds15 @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) Oh bull.. they want this to end.. Gapper.. BALLGAME.. Shoulda left in Izzy (dont care what ya say) there after he got the first two outs.. horrible job by Johnson! I actually agree with that, I wasn't sure why LaRussa would bring a new guy in with 2 outs. I'm glad he did obviously, but I would question why he did.
  3. You keep thinking that, we're gonna be there all season long, like it or not.
  4. Cards took the brunt of a tight tight zone that 1st inning.
  5. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 02:56 PM) Can't deny that but I think we're still taking this division. If for no other reason than we own you head to head. If you take the division, then so be it. I'll surely settle for 2nd if it means a playoff spot.
  6. Still, you guys aside, we've done quite well to say the least this year, and our record proves it.
  7. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 02:51 PM) And then after the Twins keep up playing well, you will be in 3rd place. Not if we keep winning like we are.
  8. We get in 2nd, then we get in 2nd. Long as that wild card lead is big, we're fine.
  9. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 02:47 PM) 9 in a row, eat s*** Tigers Eh I'm not worried in the least. It keeps up like this we'll both be in the playoffs regardless.
  10. Is it me or does Hawk sound under the weather tonight. His voice sounds as if he might have a cold or something.
  11. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) 5-3 Det. Make it 7, Maggs with a 2 run single.
  12. I think so, though I'm pretty sure they're going to be DVD only movies from what I heard. QUOTE(soxman352000 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 03:58 PM) Alright, it really was agreat show. It just was always in a crappy time slot That and it was moved constantly, to the point that people never knew what time it would be on.
  13. Oh for sure, he was very nonchalent about it.
  14. Just thought of another odd play that happened last season,. The A's were playing someone in extra innings if I recall right, and there was a guy on 3rd in the bottom of the inning. The catcher was going to the throw the ball back to the pitcher, and the pitcher failed to catch it. alertly the runner from 3rd started to come home and ended up making it safely to win the ballgame. I don't know that I've seen a play as odd as that one.
  15. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) Oh baby. Did anyone see the highlights from Baltimore versus Florida, where Cabrera was getting IBBed and swung at one of the balls, lined it into center and drove in a run? God, that's beautiful. That reminds me of something that happened a few years back. I don't remember the player or the teams involved, but this pitch came in and bounced in the dirt, and the hitter just took a swing at it with his bat and ended up getting a hit out of it.

  17. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) If you like reactions, then you should not be posting. Reactions, I believe would be more for the guest feature. For a while I was, but I recall I wanted to say something about a topic or something like that, so I signed up.
  18. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) No disrespect tigerfan but why do you go to a Sox message board as soon as the Tigers give up the lead? Are you a member of a Tigers board? There is one, and I do frequent there. I come here cause I like to read reactions. That's all it is.
  19. Here's a absolute classic clip from the $25,000 Pyramid. It starts with Vicki Lawrence calling Dick Clark a particular name, and from there...... well.... see for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsrxZs7ZQbI
  20. lol no, that's not it at all. I had feeling someone would say that though. But anyway I am serious about this.
  21. I think that whoever manages in the all star game should be the manager whose team has the best record in it's respective league after a certain point in the season. I don't like it as it is now, with the two managers whose teams got into the world series the year before. IMO, last year was last year, it shouldn't play in to what happens in the following year. What do you guys think?
  22. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) Well I disagree. The first one was definitely on purpose in my view. LaRussa is well known for that, especially doing it to a rookie like Anderson. He wants to send a message but not risk hurting one of the White Sox big guns. The Ozuna drilling I believe was totally accidental in my opinion. LaRussa doesn't want two guys getting hit. He expected that after he had Anderson hit that one of his guys ws gonna get plunked and then that would've been the end of it. I have watched LaRussa a lot, for many years. I know his style pretty well. Point taken. You obviously know a bit more about LaRussa then I do admittedly. Furthermore, if I upset anyone with my comments earlier on I apologize. I did not intend for that to happen, as I was just merely stating my viewpoint on the situation at hand. Nevertheless I am sorry for any trouble I may have caused.
  23. I would agree with that, especially since this is game 1 of 3. (meaning the beanball war comment of course)
  24. Yes I do think that. I don't see why Larussa would yell at Ponson if he had hit either guy on purpose.
